18 reviews for Hilton at the Club
Got my room for a great price at priceline and really was expecting a noisy room from what the other reviewers were saying. But I was pleasantly (no pun intended) surprised to find that the hotel room I got was quiet, comfortable and well worth the money spent. Since I was by myself, they placed me at the 5th floor away from the drunks and crackheads on the second floor (think there was some event happening or something cos there were people coming in and out on that particular floor and someone called the front desk complaining about one of the "crazy" guests at room 202 or some shit).
There were two double beds so I managed to dirty both of them, tee hee. My room was facing the freeway but there was no noise and I slept comfortably. The down pillows and comforter sealed the deal for me, no bed bugs at all, hallelujah! The only complaint I had was that even though there was a big-ass flat screen, there were only about 10 viewable channels. Thank god Lifetime was unviewable, or I'd have thrown my remote at the tv. Oh yeah, another complaint, their "Business Lounge" consists of one computer and printer near the entrance but at least they let me print directions for free.
HAHAHAHA
LOL
Seriously HAHAHA
I cant help but laugh when I think of the Pleasanton Hilton on Thursday nights. Their "Hot Sizzling Nights" on Thursday is definitely a prime cougar den with the sleazy guys in full force on the hunt. I have never seen so many characters in one spot. This is truly was a experience.
We decided to come here after having some drinks for a friends 29th birthday and wanted to go cougar watching. There is a $5 cover and a live band that plays on the patio till about 9:00pm. A pseudo band/DJ plays inside through out the night till about midnight. The drinks were decent at about $5 for a beer and $7 for a mixed drink. Staff and security were pretty chill and laid back. I cant believe how packed this place was!
The average is 40 somethings sprinkled in with a hand full of folks in the 50's even 60's. I've never seen so many older women all done up like they're in going to the Club!!! I cant believe how they just let it all hang out....litterally! Definitely a great people watching here. I can't help but think that this Hoe'd out lady is someones mom or even someones grandma!!!!! YIKES!!!! I can also say that pretty much every guy here is wearing a Tommy Bahama shirt , balding and looking for a cougar.
This is a great place to come people watch. Maybe you'll see the 50 year old guy wearing his "ever last" muscle shirt with his sleeves cut off tucked into his tight ass jeans pulled all the way up to his belly button with his snake skin cowboy boots and his pumped Elvis style hair( can we say 1982?!?!?!) LOL

AC/DC: Wall Unit is Broken but still works
Bed: Very Comfortable
Pillows: Perfect
TV: Flat Screen, Fantastic
While this hotel needs some work. The staff is amazing. Eric the manager is always in the lobby greeting the guests and when I needed help with a presentation he made sure I had everything I needed in the Biz center to make it happen. The rest of the staff was just as helpful and friendly.

I found this place through http://priceline.com. Paid only $40 a night! OK plus tax and fees it was like $51. What a deal! Some people looks like have had problems here, but all is well here. OK just ONE thing...no free internet in the hotel anywhere. It $9.95 a day....Luckly the hotel is connected with Club Sport super lux gym next door and the gym has free wi-fi. I'm sitting in the gym cafe as I write this. The hotel staff was friendly and attractive. The reservation went through without a hitch, so that was good. Got a ground floor room (cause we got bikes) as requested, no construction noise as noted in other reviews. The room was nice, nothing over the top, but hey clean and quiet. A good place to stay, but better if they didn't charge for the internet. One other big plus is you get a pass at the killer gym next door, nicest gym I've ever been to.

Showed up for the Pleasanton Chamber mixer, food and 2 drink for $10 and the cheese plate was nice and fresh, food hot, drink cold, room large and staff helpful for my gravity pull to dump drink on floor. Nice bartenders ( you know me always chasing those waiters ) Nice fresh coconut macaroons.
Good air conditioning and nice doorman ( new prey???)
Clean restrooms but small stalls.
overall 5 stars ...

if you value your possessions, you may want to look into staying at another establishment.
i had several items stolen from me, totalling somewhere between $250/$300!!! when i confronted the general manager, kevin globel, he had the audacity to call me a LIAR! after spending thousands of dollars in his establishment; i was floored! i couldn't believe it!!
of course my stay didn't start out great either.....
obviously, if the general manager is rude and insulting, the rest of the staff is going to be as well. we came down to complain about the noise in our room because it sounded like there was construction going on right above us. to our surprise, the front desk manager brittany was very rude and unapologetic. apparently they were doing renovations and no matter how loud we turned up the tv, we couldn't drown out the sounds of hammering.
they even screwed up all the reservations and attempted to double charge us for rooms we had already paid for!! it took weeks to correct their idiocracy and get our money back.
to say the least..... this is by far the WORST hotel i have ever stayed at! i have a recommendation for the rude people who work at this hotel: the hotel industry is for serving and pleasing people. which, apparently the staff at this hotel knows nothing about. if you hate your job this much, maybe you should look into something that doesn't require you to work with people in this way. Oh, and learn some manners!! it may come in handy when working with the public.

My family and I have dined here twice for the Hilton restaurant's
special holiday buffet dinners.
Believe the cost was about $40 per person.
The first visit was spectacular in every way. We were "wowed" and truly
had a fun, memorable delicious holiday dinner.
The buffet was set up in a large beautifully decorated and festive party
room. The many buffet tables were arranged wonderfully and the
organization was fabulous. The foods were kept sufficiently warm in
the warming trays.
Service was purrrrrrfect; plates were whisked away promptly and drinks
refilled in a timely manner.
The second holiday visit was not at pleasant. It was sub-par and a
disappointment in several ways.
Dang it- we like or holiday buffets and we like them to be good...
really good!
The buffet was set up in the restaurant and not in the large festive party
room. Lost points for lost ambiance.
The buffet table organization failed. The path between the too-close-
together-tables made it very difficult to maneuver.
It took a long time to get through the lines chaos and foods were cold
by the time we finally made it back to the table.
Sadly, service was not very attentive.
That last visit was a couple years ago. Following the not-so-pleasant
visit, we have not returned for the holiday buffet.
I they were to return to the good old days of hosting the
special holiday dinners in the large party room with organized buffet
tables we would return.
On a sun-e note, the enormous variety of foods offered both times
was impressive and delicious.

Great service and great attitude for cutomer support. We have worked at many hotels, but from the moment we arrived and were greeted by the doorman through servicing any of our specific needs towards helping to make our show flow easier, the Hilton team was there to help us out, with real great smiles. We will be back.
This is a Hilton Club Sport, which means it's attached to a giant Club Sport Health Club. It's an excellent gym and makes staying here worthwhile. Outdoor pool, two basketball courts, fitness classes, you name it. The hotel itself is not very memorable, but it is clean and the staff is always very friendly to me. I have stayed at this hotel for probably 40+ nights. As another poster mentioned, the "Hot Summer Nights" thing they do on Thursdays is pretty funny, but they shut down the music at 9pm so you won't be pulling your hair out wishing they would go away. If you want a drink on Thursday they will give it to you in a plastic cup - they put all their glassware away. I guess those old people get pretty frisky.
One of the things I try to do when I'm at this hotel is go to the Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park. It's a +5,000 acre greenspace park that runs along a ridge line, offering some great scenery. It's two exits south on I-680, and not too easy to find without a map @ http://www.ebparks.org.... Golfers might want to stop at the golf course that's also at that exit.
I would recommend that when checking in you ask them for a room that doesn't face the freeway, but then you may get a room overlooking what appears to be a sewage treatment facility. As you can see from my rating, this didn't bother me.
I'm writing this review as I'm extremely hung over from a wedding in Dublin. We stayed at the Hilton in Pleasanton and I felt compelled to write this review . . . especially since I have nothing better to do while I'm nursing myself back to health.
Positives:
We paid $80 for a room with two queen size beds. Not bad! The hotel rooms were very clean (we didn't dare or want to bring out a black light . . . who are we? 20/20?)
Negatives:
The hallways were pretty dark and the view outside my window was horrible. At least I got a great view of the gravel rooftop of the lobby.
They drilled in a screw so you couldn't open the window past 8". What is up with that? I like having fresh air circulate (especially because my friend I shared the room with farts a lot).
Something that annoyed me was that I called in the previous night for a late check out. The next morning, the cleaning lady barged in and she almost saw my walnuts and my hot dog.
I guess for $80 per night, I shouldn't expect much. I would honestly stay here again because it was a great bargain. The rooms were clean and that's all I want in a hotel. Sure there are a lot of negatives I listed . . . but for $80 a night, who cares.

Very average Hilton. Nothing memorable, but that's probably part of the Hilton deal - consistency. I've stayed there a few times and each time had a view of the freeway.
Room service is similarly fine. Your basic Hilton meal service, but overpriced. Unfortunately, there's not much within walking distance, but a mile or so away are plenty of choices.
Internet access should be free in hotels these days. When the low end hotels give it away, I don't understand how a higher end hotel charges you as though it's a premium service. I can't remember the Hilton's daily rate, but I seem to remember paying something like $49 for a week's worth of access.
I've also booked a couple meetings in their boardroom. It's better than many choices in the area and they don't charge for the room if you order enough food, I believe it was something like $500. We had 10 people for 2 meals, so hitting the minimum was no problem.

Beautiful hotel inside and out. Rooms are good size with enough space to spread out and relax. Both of the rooms that I have seen are nice and about the same size on both the 2nd and 5th floors.
Pros: 42" LG LCD TV's
Very Soft Comfortable King Beds
Comfortable and warm comforter and pillows
spacious room with a couch and desk
Room service food is good but pricey as expected.
Cons: Similar to other hotels
Having to pay for slow internet access
Outrageously overpriced movies available for rent
Water bottles on the desk with $5 price tag (water is Fiji water that sells for $1 at the liquor store down the street
When I entered my room I found a large fan pointed at the spot where the nightstand should have been. The nightstand was on the bed. A mildew smell permeated the room. The smell stuck around all night. It was not a good thing. The hotel was full so there were no other rooms. But I really wish they had fixed the problem before I got there around 5 PM. Or at least said something as it was not a nice thing to walk into the room and find.

This is strictly a review of the Hot Sizzling Nights they hold every thursday night during the summer. My friend and I went last thursday night, around 6:30, a half hour after the event started and there was already a decent crowd. The majority of people were in the 40's with outliers on either end, although the closer you get to 9pm the younger the crowd gets. This event is quite the meat market - my friend and I were told by an older gentleman we were the only decent view outside when we moved on inside so we didn't have to yell over the band.
There's a $5 cover charge which gets you entered in a raffle for who knows what. A margarita in a plastic cup goes for $7.
The best part of the night was probably the people watching...not the crowd you usually see in pleasanton.
Although I managed to enjoy myself I felt like I was at a bad wedding a few times while on the dance floor. Definitely not an event I'd go racing back to attend.
I've never stayed here. We had our Annual Kaiser Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon here in May for a little over 300+. The food was excellent and the staff was great to work with! Prime rib was perfect! YUMMY!
Rooms could have been bigger, and they really need to have connecting rooms. A plus for carrying La Source by Crabtree & Evelyn, but other than that, this place sucks. It's in a very nondescript area, crappy views from the window, and poor layout. I had family on various different floors and I felt like I was walking miles just to get to their room! The closet door in my cousin's hotel room was missing; how odd.
Also, service is terrible!! You can call room service multiple times, and it will just ring and ring. Once you place your order, be prepared to wait another half an hour for your items to arrive! The bellboys didn't help anybody with their suitcases, and only held doors open for patrons who were obviously struggling. Throughout the day, I only saw one employee behind the check-in counter.
I was very disappointed by this Hilton.
(Oh wait, here's another plus: there's a Bevmo down the street.)
Wow...cant believe this is a Hilton Hotel...! Definitely the most blah Hilton Ive ever stayed at. Where to start...how bout the construction going on on the roof that was mentioned anywhere on their website and wasnt mentioned by front desk upon check in. So, 9am on a Saturday and there are crazy drill noises. NOT NICE. The Saturday morning front desk lady was very nice though...upgraded the room, free breakfast and internet service for the inconveniences. Rooms are pretty small, even the deluxe. Bed was great though. Location is also great for convenience to freeways, shopping, restaurants, wineries. So, all in all, its a decent cheap Hilton to stay at if youre in the Pleasanton area and plan on doing stuff around the East Bay.
I've never stayed in a room at this hotel but went to a Marine Corp Ball here and have been here during the summer with a live cover band. My friend's dad is in the band and we'd have a good time dancing on the big patio. The crowd is definitely 30+ but it was still fun for us young ones. The food is good. Will be back here in November for a 50th birthday party. Hopefully all goes well.
