This Park has been my second home Lol! I love this park and so do my Dogs. Its park friendly and there are places to grill or just lay out in the sun, I am goiing to miss this park when we buy our home.
Beautiful views no matter where you walk or stand. -

This is a nice place to go for a walk. A few years ago, it was known as the place for homeless people though so I honestly haven't been back since. It's one of the only real parks in the vicinity.

This is a great park - It has plenty of tree - lots of table so that you can go and relax. Most importantly for me - it has a lot of stairs where you can go and get a great workout in as an outdoor option from the long lines for the cardio at the gym. The park is quite and not very many people there so you want get interrupted are distracted from your workout. The people that I have encounter there has been very nice and family like. Enjoy the park -

Great park for a nice workout or to relax. I usually come here on my alternate day instead of hitting the gym for a nice cardio workout.
Pros: Nice views, Lots of stairs, hidden stairway along one of the hills, plenty of bbq pits, picnic area, lots of tables, decent playground for kids and free parking.
Cons: I have none. -

I had heard about this park before (name-wise) but never really cared much about where it was at exactly until my friend and I had the urge to check out a place we've never been to, so after googling this place and coming across the Yelp page for it, I thought - why not???
I was definitely not disappointed at first sight and I sure wasn't disappointed when I left either. AWESOME PLACE! I'm a total history geek so this place was definitely interesting to me considering it does have some old little buildings and other items that were originally from the Great Depression. There was really nobody at this park when we went but there was still some strange, yet interesting, atmosphere to the place, especially at the playground. I should come back here to take photos! Great place for nature photography and a quiet peaceful stroll away from the city life.
Also, I saw 4-5 little bunnies on the dirt roads! They were so adorable! I just wanted to get out of my car and go hug them! Hehe. Other than that this place is a spot I'll definitely come back to whenever I have the time. It's just so nice. I wonder what it's like on weekends or whenever there's much more people here. -

Great spot for scenic views... nice playing field @ top.
Lots of parking in the area and a semi-steep gradient grass bowl to slide down. -

This huge park was the spot of a fun picnic meeting. It was a really nice area with lots of trees for shade and a huge area to play whatever games or take pictures in.
We had a grill going for some hamburgers and hot dogs with tables set up for other food.
Definitely bring your own chairs as there are plenty of places to relax and enjoy a beautiful day. It's nice not to hear the busy streets right next to park.
I hope we get to have more picnics here in the future! -

Hillcrest Park is probably one of the best parks in Orange County (at least North Orange County area). Even before I moved to Fullerton, it was still one of my favorite parks. It's just very earthly - lots of trees, plenty of grass and other plants. Makes you feel amazing on a sunny day (or on any day actually).
My friends and I come here a lot of photo projects since there's a lot of different areas to go to. Plenty of tables as well and lots of stairs for those awesome themed photo projects. If anyone is familiar with cosplay, we bring a lot of cosplayers here to shoot as well (And it's always amusing to watch the locals watch a bunch of people dressed up and to take pictures)
Going for a work-out run or riding your bike is awesome too. There's a lot of hills (hence why it's called HILLcrest park) which will definitely get you running up a sweat in your cardio work out.
The only thing I would suggest is not to go here at night (...haha duh.). Many homeless people hang around and the only lights that's in the park is the ones in the parking lot areas. Definitely not a safe area. -

This place is HUGE!!! I have been coming to Hillcrest park for awhile. It is a great place to run and get an awesome workout. Also pretty nifty to picnic here, as Hillcrest has many different areas that can be utilized for all your picnic needs.
What is really neat about Hillcrest, is that the park has been around since the 20's. Much of Hillcrest Park's distinctive look is due to work completed during the Great Depression. I am fascinated with Fullerton City history so I had to geek out for a second.
Minus one star for the finding materials laying around from the nightly shenanigans that take place after the sun sets at Hillcrest.Listed in: F-Town

I love this park! It's so relaxing and picturesque! Great place to come and take a nap or study. I've seen a couple weddings go on here and there's a beautiful space for one up on the hill at the community center. Beautiful views, playgrounds spread throughout the park, beautiful, steep, cobblestone stairs..lovely park!

I have so many fond memories of this place. I went to FUHS in the early 80's and this was a nifty place to ditch classes and drink. Lotsa little nooks and crannies to hide out in back then.
But even before my lost teen high school years I'd go here as a child - they used to have a duck pond there - not sure if it's still there anymore. I even snagged one of the ducks and brought it home to be my pet! I loved my duck. But we ended up returning it back to the pond - where he longed to be.
