Very nice interior-- plush leather chairs, multiple flat panel TVs, and a very comprehensive selection of liquor.  However, the cigar selection was definitely lacking (although they do have some good stuff in here, and apparently football season has depleted their stash), which is probably why it doesn't get 5 stars.  The other drawback is the price, as it is definitely more expensive than local cigar shops (at least Tinderbox) but still cheaper than any cigar in Los Angeles.

I would give this place more stars, and actually wanted to give it 3, but the service was pretty awesome and I will come back here again, so it gets 4 stars.

Every once in a while, you'll find me smoking a cigar. I'm no aficionado, however. So, what I like about Highland Cigar is that they are very friendly to the inexperienced.

The interior is spacious and luxurious, just like a smoking lounge should be. Rich leather sofas and armchairs, with weighty high top tables and ottomans are placed in groupings around flat screen TVs. There's also a bank of humidor lockers for rent to serious patrons.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. Because I don't know a lot about cigars, they were more than willing to walk me into the humidor and help me make a selection. They have quite an assortment--from small flavored cigars to imported cigars from South America and Europe.

We also ordered a couple of drinks. They are generous with the alcohol in mixed drinks, and I noticed they have a large selection of Scotches, if you're into that.

I am very into cigar smoking and now that I moved to Atlanta from Seattle I can finally enjoy smoking at bars again. I am very knowledgeable about the art of cigar smoking right down to the health effects and current news surrounding the industry. When going to a cigar bar or lounge I judge my experience based on service, atmosphere, and also product knowledge, for ex sample, when I ask about a cigar a bad tobacconist would say its medium and tasty. A good one would go into the smoking characteristics and maybe some detail about the history of the company,

I went to this bar for the first time last night. I heard so much about this bar, especially from this site that after being told I couldn't smoke a cigar at other bars near highland I decided to give Highland Cigar bar a try.

When I walked it, the place was down right crowded, the bar was taken up and every seat in the lounge was taken, I had to wait for a seat to open. There was a falcons game on so I could see why the place was packed and loud.

I walked into the humidor and was kinda disappointed. Highland boasts about their humidor and yet this humidor was equal to a small humidor in a tobacco shop. Their prices were alittle steep but if you know your cigars you can find one that is a good price for the smoke. A partagas black label sales for 8.00 (not including the Schip tax) which is 5 cents higher than my local tobacco store, not bad at all. But for smaller cigars like the Olivia Nub, which is also 8 dollars, I would avoid it unless you have money to throw around. I opted out of buying a cigar there and smoked my punch rare corojo instead.

The staff there are good at their job. I didn't test their knowledge of cigars because of the busy time. They saw me standing around and told me they would push me into the bar as soon as possible which wasn't long. I sat at the bar, sipping a 5.00 red snapper while watching the sea hawks play. The air in the lounge was very well filtered using a state of the art air purification system. Even those who dont smoke and find it difficult to breath in a smoking permitted bar, can come and enjoy themselves without gagging, not to mention when you leave you dont come out smelling like a cigar.

All in all, my time there was pretty good, and I will be going back as its a good heaven for cigar smokers. If you smoke cigarette and are told to go outside, dont complain, most of the Atlanta's bars and lounges has banned us cigar smokers from doing business with them.

The downside of it was the small humidor and  average selection. But really, I think my next experience there will be outstanding as I plan to go when business is slower in the daytime.

Good atmosphere, but limited seating and limited humidor selection. I'll go back though.

I do enjoy a great cigar with good company and it took me moving to another state and coming back on a business trip to find this place!  One of HIghland Cigar's regulars (so regular his picture is on  the door to the Men's bathroom) brought me here one night after work.  I was really impressed by what I saw as soon as I walked in the door.  It was a weeknight, so it wasn't packed with people and there wasn't a "smoke" issue at all... the air was very clear.

We stepped into the humidor and I felt like a kid in a candy shop with all of those great smells.  I picked out a few, and then got some recommendations from the staff member and my friend.  I finally settled on a cigar that smells oh-so-good and returned to the bar for a smoke and a drink.

The atmosphere was very laid back.  The place had plenty of seating (mostly leather couches) and several flat-panel TV's, which were showing a baseball game at the time.  I sat down with my friends at the bar and lit up the cigar and had a drink.

The bartender was very friendly and quick with the drinks.  The drinks were priced about right for what you got.  They have a fair decent selection of bottled beers and a nice selection of scotch.

I very much enjoyed my visit here and wish I had discovered this place when I lived in Atlanta... not after I moved!  I will definitely return as my business trips allow.

I love this place. Even if you don't smoke cigars the ventilation is good enough that you can just sit back and enjoy yourself in one of the most laid back venues in the city. They have an excellent selection in the walk in humidor and the staff is very friendly and attentive in helping you pick out a cigar. I should also add the bartenders are very friendly and mix up some great drinks.

Atmosphere is great - they have quite a few big tvs as well as some leather couches (in addition to the bar area and some standard tables). Also they have "movie nights" during the week for those who cant smoke cigars at home and dont want to smoke them by yourself!

I'm a fan of the Highland Cigar Co. I love that you can sit back and relax enjoy your smoke and have plenty of great conversations! Now that being said my hubby frequents here more than me! I like when he goes because I can venture out on to North Highland and do some shopping! He's always hungry when he's done so a good meal is always on the agenda!

The only drawback is that it can get wayyyyy too smokey and you aren't allowed to smoke on the deck anymore! Insane I must add! but the staff is always pleasant and they make you feel right at home!

Brian is doing it Right!

The waitstaff are all wonderful and helpful, great Customer Service. I love the scene, It's definitely a true Cigar Bar.

The outside seating in the front is my fave. (I'm a people watcher).
A couple of friends, smoking a great Cigar and drinking some fabulous drinks makes for a good time!

Ok, ok. I am technically not a cigar smoker and made a trip to HC company only because my friends work there, but I have to tell you this place is suave. I mean you've got a full bar, flat screen t.vs comfy leather sofas,  a variety of cigars available if you'd like to enjoy one or two, and an attractive AND very knowlegable staff to attend to you. The place is so classy and at the same time very easy going. The air filtration system is created excellently as well, but I do have to add that if you smoke cigarettes then you do have to step outside.

If you are a cigar enthusiast or if you're not and you're looking for a very nice place to relax, unwind, enjoy a game, and/ or a cigar then this is the place.

I love the vibe in this place!

I went here for a debate watching party a while back. This is a very nice place. The interior is decked out with large tvs and leather sofas and seats.

You can smoke cigars to your heart's content, but cigarettes are not allowed, so the smoke is pure cigar. Not that much smoke is lingering around, they have a very elaborate ventilation system (which they seem very proud of) which did a good job of filtering the air though there were not that many people smoking cigars when I was there.

The drinks are good and the bartenders were friendly. I'm not a cigar enthusiast but if I were this would be a regular hangout.

I adore this place. I have never had to pick out my own cigar before so I was a bit nervous and felt like a child. The staff was super nice and walked me through the selections with the patience of a saint.  I hadnt even considered that what I was about to drink could affect the taste of the cigar- silly me. The gal that took us in the cigar room and the bartender guy are masters of giving good service. There are plenty of seats and plush leather couches. They even have a couple outside tables if the smoke gets too heavy inside. Thank you Highland Cigar for a great drink and top notch service.

This is my third time here and as always its a great place to lounge, smoke, and enjoy friends.  There's always something new to try and I enjoy feeling like a cigar aficionado.  The staff is very helpful and knowledgeable and had great recommendations for both smokes and drinks.  This last time however I did feel a bit nauseous with all of the smoke and the waitress noticed right away ( I thought I was playing it off pretty well) and brought me a coke to help.  My friends said a better air filter would help out with all of the second hand smoke and I seem to remember some other places that pull the smoke out of the air.  However, none of this will deter me from coming back and with friends.  I always enjoy my experience here.

this is a man's paradise!  plush leather seating, plenty of screens showing current sporting events, attentive but non intrusive wait staff, a full bar, and an impressive cigar humidor.  what more could a guy ask for?

located in the up and coming section of inman park, the owners definitely had guys in mind when they created it; however, i have found that the women that go are also satisfied with their experience.  it may be all the "beef cake" toking on cigars and sipping scotch that do it.  or maybe it is the fact that there is very little competition, or maybe its because they enjoy the cigars and drinks as much as the guys (who knows?!?).

it gets my vote as a great lounging spot or (earlier in the eve) a place to enjoy a nice elixir and a good book.

only drawback is that they do not serve food, but they will order for delivery and plate your food for enjoyment there at the cigar co..

I am a cigar smoker...no doubt!  This place is a good place for a smoke and a drink. If you plan on having a conversation...forget about it. It is slightly too loud....it is best to bring your own cigars too because their selection is NOT as good as it could be.  The humidor is NOT big, but it could be better if the management paid attention to the smokes and not all the "other things" they have in the humidor....

Not bad for a cigar bar. However, the management can do a better job of paying attention to detail. I was sitting at the bar and the back of the bar could use some attention.

Overall, the waitstaff is attentive but can sometimes get a bit distracted with the regulars. Not a bad place to catch a game either. They've got a limited yet decent selection of cigars and the staff for the most part seems to know what they're talking about when it comes to smoking them.

One tip for management. I don't expect to come to cigar bar to eat and if I do I don't expect it to be served on a disposable plate.

This place is hawt. One of the most unique spots in Atlanta, it looks as a cigar place should - bathed in dark woods and plush leather furniture. Scope out the huge walk in humidor and sniff away until you pick out your cigar. They even have special lockers for high rollers that can be rented to store all kinds of things. Scotch and cigars. A good place.

I know I don't look like a cigar smoker...BUT I am and I love Highland Cigar! It is a great place to sit back, relax and have great discussions.  I took my friend there while he was here visiting from Los Angeles and he is still trying to find a place there that matches the great experience he had at Highland Cigar.  The drinks are somewhat pricey BUT they make them nice and strong so it's worth it.

Ridiculously comfortable couches, tasty mojitos, huge cigar selection, friendly staff and of course the ubiquitous hd flat screen tvs. No better place to watch a game and relax.
