So I like this place when it is not so buys!! For heavens sake it was a Wednesday night I was not expecting the place to be packed! Every teppanyaki table was stuffed full of people, hence no room to move let alone eat!
The food is always good, best to split the food otherwise you will be taking a bunch home.

Ok, snob alert....I will be overly critical of this place since I resided in Japan for a while and ate at 'real' teppanyaki places.  Plus, there is just something weird about the psuedo-japanese cook characters delivering lines like, "soy sauce, japanese ketchup' with latino accents....but I digress.....or actually I don't, that's just weird.
So, we prefer to go at lunch on weekends cause it's just not that busy and it takes time to eat that much frickin food!  Speaking of the food, yeah, it is what it is, you are going to stuff yourself so the flavor is sort of secondary.  You are there for the experience right?  Well, the kiddos love it, their favorite part is the giant flame they make on the cooking surface before each meal so that's why they get four stars.  If I was rating just on ambiance and food, it would be two stars, maybe.  I will say though, that their servers and chefs are all very nice, haven't had a bad experience in that regard, maybe that would bump them to three...but the mini bonfire at eye level is why we go.

We didn't sit at a teppanyaki table. We had sushi and cooked food in the dining room. A family member had eaten here several times before and said the teppanyaki chefs were okay but nothing spectacular. The tempura was okay with fresh ingredients but the batter wasn't anything special. I had the yakisoba which had a lot of vegetables with not a lot of soba noodles (I prefer a balance to too much of either). We shared a deluxe sushi platter which had several rolls and half a dozen nigiri sushi. The raw fish wasn't scary but it also wasn't great either. Altogether if I were giving this a letter grade I think it would be a C+ for food and value and a B for all the other categories (service, atmosphere, vibe). I didn't feel enough "heart" in the food here. It almost felt like eating in a "chain" restaurant.
