When I'm in my home town and jonesing for a good burger, this is where I inevitably end up.
Any of the three Hi Boys will do. There's another on Blue Ridge Cutoff and one more on 24Hwy (at River?). (I've been away from home too long--I'm forgetting the names of the streets...)
YUM-EE. Enough said.
I can't believe I forgot to tell you to try the onion rings. And if you have any space left you'd like to fill with a few hundred more empty calories, go for the cherry mash blizzard.
The burgers here are bomb. This is a nice family owned burger joint. Tator tots and milk shakes. This place is great. Usually all the employees are local high school kids that are pretty nice. A little piece of Americana
What's not to like about Hi-Boy? This is one of those places that tastes exactly the same as it did 35+ years ago. The burgers are great, the onion rings are great, and the choclate shakes are still so darn thick you have to wait an hour before you can suck it through the straw.
