This is a decent sized park. Today was my first time there. It is near the post office in Hewitt. There is a good sized parking lot by the track as well as bleachers and a frisbee golf course.

The walking path is made of concrete and there isn't any large trees. My wife had been there before and said that the creek or ditch appeared filled in.

There was some seating that was covered and I noticed quite a few BBQ pits as well. I liked the quantity of picnic tables. It is a good track but not much to see so I enjoyed talking w my wife. Unlike other parks this trail had little to no incline and was easy to walk since it was concrete. That is helpful since I am still recovering from surgery. I would recommend this walking path for people who are perhaps a bit unsteady on their feet like me w surgery or other reasons possibly.

The only complaint I might have is the lack of larger trees and that means during summer it would be wise if me to go in earlier or later hours.

All in all good park. They have portable potties not permanent ones if that makes a difference to ya!!!

Great park with a handicap-accessible playground, football/soccer fields, pavilion, and disc golf

I go to this park often to walk. It has a .5 mile track that goes around a soccer field and a basketball court. It also has a frisbee golf course.
When you first enter the park there is a large pavilion and playground. Drive on through and it ends at the walking track.
Also provided is a small workout station for sit-ups/crunches, pull-up/chin-ups and push-ups.
This place stays pretty busy most of the time. It is certainly family friendly.
The only problem I have with this place is one, it has two port-o-potties at the walking track and two, if playing frisbee golf, you have to cross a creek at times and when it rains that creek rises.
It is a well kept area and has a few picnic shelters. It does seem that it is under improvement. I like this park regardless of the few dislikes. I just wait to go home for potty;)

Clean. Family friendly. Lots of activities. I feel comfortable to walk alone or do some yoga. It's nice to see local police officers patrolling as well. Updated playground with shaded areas and soft turf. Great place.

Within walking distance from a residential neighborhood. My newborn niece is gonna love it when she gets bigger. Seems like there is something there for all ages & sizes of active "kids" to enjoy. The playground is even wheelchair accessible, & has a soft surface. There are restroom facilities, a barbecue/picnic pavilion, parking places, a frisbee-golf course, basketball courts, soccer field, baseball field, sand volleyball courts, & half-mile jogging track with outdoor workout equipment.

Nice park, especially if you're looking for a pit stop on a road trip. Clean restrooms.

Hewitt Park is well kept and a great place for a walk or a location for kids to play. There are a number of playground areas and basketball courts (including a new basketball court in the center of the park). There is also a newly installed disc golf course. It is short range, but not a bad course -- I am very happy about this addition to Hewitt.
