5 reviews for Hershey Gardens
We spent over 4 hours strolling around here, and even our 6 year old said "I thought this would be boring, but it was really fun!" The butterfly garden is spectacular, and the surrounding children's garden was a huge hit. But we spent most of our time climbing around some of the trees in the park, watching the koi in the pond, and watching the frogs play in the frog pond.
We were there in mid-September, and the roses and flowers were still out (but starting to look a little ragged around the edges.) I bet it's stunning in June or July.
If you're in the area, don't miss this place - it's a real gem. If you're a photographer, you'll find many great shots here.

I'll always be a little miffed that I can't afford to get married here.
Beautiful gardens, nifty niches, a variety of displays and lots to see! Definitely a must for all budding botanists (pun absolutely intended) and those who simply enjoy stunning scenery.

I spent a few hours there this summer, just staring at the beautiful flowers. I was very happy that the butterfly garden was open... it was amazing! I took over a hundred photos of all the flowers... it is a great place for photography if you are interested in taking pictures. There is a self-guided tour available, or you can roam on your own (which is what I did). I would suggest checking to see when the flowers are at their peak before you plan your trip. Granted, the gardens are beautiful year around, but I find it particularly beautiful in the summer and early fall.

Really beautiful in June when the roses are at their peak, this is a nice romantic way to while away an afternoon. They had a butterfly house the last time I was there.

Beautiful scenery! We stopped here on the first day of Hershy Memorial Day Weekend trip. The flowers were just starting to bloom, The grounds are well keep & planned out. We took alot of pretty pictures especially in the Japanese Garden, Children's Garden, & the Butterfly House. I really enjoyed the variety of butterflies & the "Watch Out for Hitch-hiking Butterflies" sign in the Butterfly House. This place is huge so wear comfy walking shoes & bring your camara.
