A burger joint? In Uwajimaya? What the heck, I'll try anything once.
I got the special, some kind of pile of jalapeños with a burger inside. It was surprisingly delicious, even if it was $2 too much for a once-frozen burger!
I think that if you consider Dick's to be the bottom rung of awesome/greasy burgers and Burgermaster to be the top shelf of this same, non-gourmet category, Herfy's is solidly in the middle.
If you are looking for a picture-worthy gourmet pile of beauty in a hamburger, go to the meat section in Uwajimaya and buy some Kobe beef and make your own. Because, if you're here, you're miles away from any burgers that taste like beef. -

My burger was dry. My fries were too salty. I was given three packages of ketchup, they did not want to give me more.
I don't think I would go back to that particular location. -

First thing I have to say is that Herfy's in Bellevue behind Sears is really good.
This Herfy's, not so much.
This was my second time there, and the burger was bland, cheese not melted, and my order of onion rings had 4 rings, for almost $3. I even watched lady individually pick out the 4 rings, so it wasn't like she just grabbed some.
So don't let this place throw you from the Herfy's name, just try a different one.
Oh, and they don't allow refills here, but I think that is more due to the setting. -

Awhile back, while spending hours roaming around Chinatown, a friend and I were looking around Uwajimaya for lunch and he wanted to get Herfy's. I was like, "Why would you want to get American food here of all places?" Maybe it was because he was from the city, but he made a better choice than I did.
He got a steak sandwich, which had a big pile of steak that was fresh and put on the grill with onions and hot sauce. If I remember right it was served on a hoggie roll. They worked really fast, but because we got an order that took longer to make, we had to wait for about 8-10 minutes or so. The line was pretty big that day-- it was the day after Christmas, yet they were curteous to everyone.
I took a bite of it, and it was the just amount of spiciness in my opinion. The fries were pretty typical. Thrill K. is right, the portion sizes of the fries are sort of small but it's an Asian run business and their portions tend to be smaller, it should be expected to not be super-sized. -

This is a Bad Review,1 Star. But,well deserved in my opinion.
I went to the Herfy's in Uwajimaya Village today at 5:30pm.
My order was a Double Burger and Large Fries.
The service was fast and courteous. My order was done in a jiffy. Too jiffy for me. But it's my fault. I saw what was happening and said nothing about it. I guess I was too stunned.
The large fries was the size of a McD's regular fries. That's messed up.
The burger pattys were Pre-Cooked! I couldn't believe it. He put then on the grill to warm up,then on the bun. My "large" fries with "double burger" in the bag in 4 - 5 minutes. Damn!
The meat wasn't fresh,not even frozen ground beef,but pre-cooked. Man,that sucks!
It didn't taste bad.I'll give it that. But it didn't taste like it was freshly made and grilled either.
How they cooked the fries in under 5min is beyond me? I didn't see that part. (i was checking my e-mail).
For the price,it should'a been fresh meat and taste better. It was more expensive than it should have been, all things considered.
Anyways, based on my one and only visit for the rest of my life experience,I will never go back.
P.S. Hey,If you're a Fan of the joint,enjoy. Don't let my review get you down -

I needed something to eat before I drank a gallon o'booze so I came to herfy's at Uwajimaya. For less than 8 bucks I got a decent sized burger, some fries and a drink.
I was actually surprised at how good their fries were. I wanted more. The burger wasn't bad either. It exceeded my expectations (did I really have any?) so I will be back.
Service was good too. very sweet lady. -

I got a single onion burger.
The meat was not tasty at all.
It was kind of pale-gray, which I think means that the patty suffered from freezer burn. -

If you're looking for a quick meal, this place is... no, I can't do it... I can't recommend this place under any circumstances, especially when there are so many other choices close by. If this was the only eatery within 50 miles, then maybe... no, I can't even say that... you're better off eating your own hand: more tasty and less painful.

I was hesitant to try Herfy's, not knowing the background of the name, based on the reviews I read. Overall I am glad I tried it.
Its a little pricey, but its not bad. They definitely have quite the variety and several vegetarian options (not that I care).
The burger was decent, the ingredients tasted as fresh as expected. The Shake was really good- Blackberry, seemingly made with actual blackberries.
The service was relatively friendly, and food was ready quickly. I can agree with reviewers on the fries being a conservative serving. -

Herfy's does it's job in terms of feeding me. It's convenient because I work down the street, and I don't always want Asian food at the good ol' Uwajimaya Market, where this location is situated.
The milkshakes are delicious. I don't know if you can take my word for it, because I've only had one in recent times, but the one I had was definitely delicious. There are over a dozen flavors to choose from, including Blackberry and Peanut Butter. Whaa??
Burgers, deep fried seafood, deep fried mozzarella sticks, deep fried mushrooms (which I like), deep fried jalapeno poppers, deep fried fries, deep fried chicken, deep fried arteries, etc etc.
In terms of the portion size, it's not as big as you would think it is for the price. But, that's Americanized me saying that. I hear the portions are more generous at other Herfy's.
I hate that they charge 50 cents each for Ranch. And, I hate that I like their ranch. -

It's pretty good, service is nice and timely. I would definitely say it's better than most fast food.
I had a special ( which I strongly recommend) , today among another offering the special was a beef Bulgogi sandwich with as previously stated modest fries.
Another tip- it saves money to buy everything separately instead of buying a meal or special.
Now the Bulgogi- holee cow. I love Garlic and onions. I do. I love three cup chicken, I love soyvay, I love anything with Garlic and onions.
The Bulgogi sandwich was pretty much a Philly cheesesteak sans cheese with a boatload of garlic, green onions and marinaded beforehand.
The fact that there are no refills, free water or stacks of napkins makes it appear to possibly be the least hospitable in the foodcourt. However they were very generous with condiments , and napkins when we asked for them,
I wouldn't leave them out either if I had an outside door in a popular pan handling spot.
That being said they have preformed patties and I would actually go here for a burger. Another deciding factor in fi I'd go here again- it's in Uwajimaya , I don't go here for burgers.
Hence the Bulgogi. Probably will not try again, and wouldn't go looking for it if I was looking for a burger. I like five guys for that, they are outrageously generous with their fries. -

Sorry to do this to them but i have to. My burger order was done in no joke, 2 minutes. When i asked for ketchup, she blurted it's already on there. The burger was cold, and i paid way too much for it. They didn't seem busy, and looked like times were tough, but if only they would put some TLC into making simple burgers they would thrive i think. I feel they are lazy because they get business anyways during lunch and that is what sustains them. P.s 2 things i dislike very much: 1. Doctors who do it for the money
and 2. Restaurants who don't give a shit about their food. -

Overpriced and Jack in the Box is better tasting sadly enough. I have eaten here many times because i work in the area. I finally have boycotted it because it is so overpriced for what you get. I have never gotten a cheeseburger hot enough to melt the cheese!

Food is mediocre, but the real killer here is the service. It stinks! This place totally nickels and dimes you. Want a wheat bun? That's $.35 extra. Curly fries? $.50 extra. Want to use your debit card? $.50 extra. All this crap adds up and you end up paying $8 for a McDonald's meal. I try to avoid Herfy's whenever possible.

Today was my first time visiting. My wife and I decided to try it before shopping at Uwajimaya. As vegetarians, we were pleasantly surprised to see the options of both Boca burgers and Gardenburgers. It's rare for us to have the choice of both. Service was fast and friendly, and portions were great. 2 meals for 2 ladies = $15.00 and we walked out happy and full. Will definitely go back.

I've been to Herfy's a few times because it's by my work. We have one in my neighborhood and I like it. Well, the one in the International District is awful. The burger was not made fresh. I watched them put a pre-cooked patty on the grill and heat it up, but it wasn't really heated, it wasn't ice cold either....until I got back to my desk and it was close. It certainly wasn't warm or even close to hot. The cheese wasn't melted, it was under the patty instead of on top. The only reason it's not 1 star is because the fries were hot. However, nothing else was good and it's expensive. I ordered a Bacon Cheese Burger... I'll have to skip it from now on. Their welcome is worn out.

as i am finishing up my cheeseburger, i am inspired to write my review for herfy. the food is mediocre, but what was i expecting? when i asked the lady for extra ketchup, she got all snappy and was like, "it's on there." uh HELLO! i like extra ketchup on mines and this lady did not seem to be budging. their customer service sucks big time. i totally agree with rob. that maybe they can care less about their customer's because they get business anyways. so guess what, herfy? i am NOT supporting you no more.
