I've had serious neck/back issues since I work on a computer at a desk 10+ hours a day. I came to Jewel at Herbin for acupuncture for the first time ever and I LOVED it! I was a little apprehensive since I've been going to a chiropractor for over 4 years and I never tried acupuncture, but let me tell you, it was the most relaxing environment and it really helped my back pain and I felt amazing afterward!
I highly recommend Jewel! I think I have plantar fasciitis and she did some work in my feet and I don't have pain anymore at the bottom of my foot! It really did work!
Jewel is awesome! She makes you feel really comfortable and relaxed. -

This place is the best! If you are looking for a health and wellness retreat you have found it. My favorite is Romy the massage therapist. She has specials all the time and has really strong hands. I recommend the life coaching and theta too.

I go to Herbin Acupuncture to see Lara. When I arrived I was greeted with a smile by her staff and brought back to their clever yes soothing playground waiting area. Besides having a great experience from beginning to end, my ailments improved noticeably after my Acupuncture treatment with Lara. Thanks Lara!!

Had my first acupuncture treatment from Lara. OMG... amazing. She is super knowledgeable and informative. It could not have been a better experience- I feel into a deep relaxation multiple times! She can help you with any problem (physically or mentally) and is just an amazing person to be around! Her skills and services are provided at a wonderfully affordable price- I will be scheduled with her for every two weeks! Ari at the front desk is also super knowledgeable and helpful!
Follow up- Lara suggested I also see Dr. Jordan for a chiropractic treatment to go with my acupuncture treatments. I was super nervous and anxious but Dr. Jordan made me feel at ease and talked me through everything he was doing! I felt a-maz-ing after! He is also super knowledgable and knows where your pain is by feeling your muscles! I will be a lifelong client to this amazing place ;) -

I began going to Lara about 6 months ago due to migraine headaches I was having. Not only have they dissapated but I continue to see Lara for my overall health, energy and well being. Lara is so knowleable on so many levels. She is inspiring, enthusiastic and wise . . . I have come to adore her not only as my accupuncturist but as a friend and mentor. Every time I go to her I feel like I am completely spoiling myself and getting the best luxury I could ask for. I also sent my 85 year old mother to her for hip pain. Lara is the ONLY one who has ever been able to help her feel better! I recommend her to anyone!

As the owner of The Deli Llama, I am on my feet all day, every day. Threw my back out the other day, and Lara and Jordan literally saved my life!!! What an amazing atmosphere--tranquil, friendly, nurturing--perfect environment for healing. And Ariana at the front desk is as cute as a bug. Cannot recommend them highly enough!!! I have a new De-Stress Team!

one of the most AMAZING places ever. I got Acupuncture done by Lara. and it included a partial massage, herbal therapy, and music. Just a comfortable environment with their Healing playground, where you can listen to tons of inspirational affirmations. And now i work with Lori for Life Coaching sessions. She is helping me break through my financial blocks. I am also a triathlete and she is working with me to make the USA team. If you have never experienced a place like this you are missing out. My favorite part is that they offer free Ginger chews that help calm your stomach!!! THIS PLACE ROCKS!!

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!! I've been going to chiropractors for years and Jordan is so sweet and by far the best! I've had a back injury for the past 4 years that doctors can't figure out and within the first 10 minutes with Jordan is knew exactly what was wrong. It has been a couple weeks now and the pain I have been experience for the past 4 years is already better! He truely cares about your health and will spend as much time with you as you need. Back home my chiropracter spends 15 minutes with me and here Jordan spends at least 45 minutes with me. I highly recommend him!!

I just moved to San Diego and had to find a new wellness team - I am SO HAPPY that I found Lara! She's an amazing gal with great energy - her knowledge is so diverse and I know I'm being taken care of when I'm there. She does massage and acupuncture, and even counsels on herbs with a custom blend made just for you.

Just got out of my second visit with Sharyn, who I have been seeing for Chi Nei Tsang and massage, though she offers an array of different types of sessions. Chi Nei Tsang is an Chinese practice, which focuses on the stomach and is an internal organ massage. I thought I'd try it out since I have a lot of issues with my stomach. Sharyn is great! She's really kind and caring, and in the short time I've seen her, she's gone out of her way to find ideas that would help with my ailments. I got a back massage in addition and she gives great, fluid, and detailed massages.
4 stars because I don't know about any of the other practitioners here, though I'm sure they're great too. The place is cute, and they have a bunch of different teas! If you're looking to get some acupuncture or massage or other wellness services, give this place a try!

I had the most amazing treatment with Janet Nicksic that I want to share with everyone - it was a combination Reiki/ThetaHealing/Counseling session - a very unique experience. I have done all of these modalities before and had great sessions with other Practitioners, but this was a combination of services that was really special. It started with Janet talking to me and letting me "get out" all my frustrations and chatting about what things I wanted to work on mentally and emotionally - this set the tone for the session. She then went in and relaxed my mind and body with Reiki and an energy session that was just amazing. She was able to take a growing Migraine headache away which is almost impossible with me! Then throughout the treatment she pulled and released beliefs and things that were not serving me with ThetaHealing and replaced them with more positive ones. By the time the treatment was over I was so relaxed and feeling good I could have just melted onto the table. I HIGHLY recommend Janet's unique style of treatments to anyone who wants to feel great in their bodies, release some stuck emotions and just have a nice relaxation session. This girl is AMAZING!

A-freaking-mazing acupuncture/massage treatment from Lara Koljonen today! I am so lucky to havefound, in a city full of awesome practitioners, Lara who is skilled, precise, intuitive and a perfect fit for me. Her energy is vibrant and infectious. My session consisted first of traditional Chinese massage with organic herbal oils. Then gua sha on my back...my favorite! By the time I turned on my back for the acupuncture I was totally relaxed. I drifted off to God knows where with an eye pillow resting on my face. When she came back in the room unknown minutes later, it felt like a different day. It totally rebooted my system. I am grateful! I left on a high with new affirmations and self-care protocol to help me sail through the week...until next time!

She has and continues to help me with many physical and emotional ailments. after speaking with lara for months about acupuncture and my extreme digestion problems, i finally bit the bullet, and decided to give it a try. i was very apprehensive to try acupuncture again, after a bad experience i had, a few years back. lara eased my mind, and promised she'd be gentle, and after an extensive talk about my history of digestive issues, we jumped right in with the treatment. she amazed me with her knowledge of how the body works, and how all the elements come into play when it comes to weaker areas and over powering ones. she was also very gentle with the needles, and i found myself very relaxed during the treatment. she gave me several tips to help me readjust how my body digests food, in between future visits, which i am so excited about, and grateful for. being a vegan, i can't possibly omit anymore food from my diet, and after a lifetime of battling problems, with the future help of lara, i can look forward to finally feeling normal. i am so excited to continue seeing her. i would recommend lara to anyone who is nervous about acupuncture, she will definitely take good care you, with a nurturing and extremely knowledgeable presence.
