This place was 2 Pesos (or Dos Pesos for people trying to be all authetico) for all you old enough to remember when it was named that. It was one of the first off-campus eateries that someone took me when I visiting SCU as a prospective student for the first time in 1996.
I returned today because I was in the area and needed a quick bite before heading into the office. I ordered a quesadilla. It was actually pretty decent and they gave some guacamole and sour cream included. Under $6 which wasn't all that bad.
4 stars more for the memories than anything else.

Awesome service and the nachos here are da bomb! They've always been more than willing to give me extra chips for the nachos, so I got nothing but good memories of this place. Overall good food.
Thank God for Henry's when I was under 21. Unfortunately, they got in trouble for that, but back in the day when it first opened it was the best place for underage SCU kids to go get forties and Mexican food--a winning combo.
I never really tried many of the food items, but everything seemed good and authentic. Plus the staff is so nice and basically speaks Spanglish to everyone who comes in. Not that they can't speak English--I think they do it for fun. As you can imagine, drunk college kids are more than happy to throw around a few of their Spanish 1 phrases with their amigos at Henry's.

Henry's Mexican food has the location, location, location advantage of being across the street from the University. So they do a brisk business. You order at the counter (look for the hanging sign to indicate where). They'll give you a bowl of chips and you can serve yourself some yummy salsa further down the counter. The service is great (and they will call you amigo/a, as another reviewer indicated). My veggie burrito was a little too smokey and didn't have pico de gallo in half of it, but my husband loved his burrito al pastor. They also have a selection of hot sauces you can serve yourself.
They don't have high chairs. They do have alcohol.

Henry's is pretty good; it was way better when it sold alcohol to minors. Now that it has to stand on the quality of its food, it cant really compare to Mondo. I usually get a bean and cheese or vegetarian burrito, and have never been charged a consistent price for it. For the bean-cheese burrito, i have been charged everything from 99 cents to 2.95. The people that work there are really nice, but the food is so greasy it makes me want to vomit sometimes.
Food and service here are great! The staff is always calling you amigo/amiga! I frequent this place because it's close to work, and everything is made to order. The quesadillas are always served with pico de gallo, sour cream and guacamole on the side. The favorite burrito among SCU students is the Oaxaqueno, which is a burrito with cheese, grilled chicken, guacamole and pico de gallo. It's grilled, so it's toasty and the cheese is melted. I personally like the fajita burrito. Chips are homemade and offered free with your meal! Vegetarian options are also available. Sodas only come in one size (regular), but the fountain is accessible so you can refill as much as you want!
They also have a catering menu, and the items are always delivered fresh!

This little grease factory does have the advantage of being the closest bite to eat on campus...but thank god i had a car while i was at SCU. You know that ...sick wtf was i thinking... feeling after you eat..say a cheeseburger, fries and a shake? Well, I can guarantee you will walk away from Henry's feeling like you ate a brick with a side of mortar.
But hell, if you've already ignored my advice, wipe the pico de gallo off your face & order that ice cold 40 ouncer behind the counter...oh..wait..they lost their liquor license because they sold all of their beer to the freshmen.
Adios Henry, see you never.
Henry's mexican food is good. I am Chicano and my parents owned a mexican food restaurant. I do not like pre-cooked mexican food. If you order a fajita burrito or anything "Al carbon" you will be very happy. They also have a wide asortment of specialty plates. I work and live by there and a good mexican food hang out is a must for me. I hope you enjoy if you go.

This place is awesome!!! It's right next to my office, and I eat there at least once a week! If I had to recommend only one item on the menu, it would have to be the Chile Verde Burrito. Henry's has by far the best Chile Verde I've ever had. Five stars!
