Hennessey's

I haven't been here in a while but the food, drink and hospitality is still fantastic. Being a special day (St Patrick's) of course I ordered the corned beef and cabbage. It was very good, however, the cabbage was undercooked and very difficult to cut with a sharp knife. I mentioned it to the waitress but nothing was done. It was still a worthwhile meal among a vibrant celebratory crowd.

We came here for dinner and the food was really a disappointment :( I think that maybe this place is a great bar but maybe not the best for food...
I ordered the smoked BBQ brisket sandwich -- it's highlighted as one of the favorites on the menu. The brisket was really burnt and tough... My partner got one of the burgers and upon his first bite, he noticed that the patty was completely charred. I got chips with my brisket sandwich and I don't think the chips were seasoned at all -- no salt, nothing...
That said, I do appreciate that you can order a smaller or larger size for their beers. My guess is that this spot makes a great place for drinks, but maybe not so much for food...

I have been critical of Hennessey's in the past; however, lately they have turned it around.
Good place for two for one Tuesday. Lively ambiance, good seating outside and inside. The burger of the month is always a good choice with your favorite beverage. Give it a try.

The bartender named Christian is so rude ! Not only did I witness him being rude to patrons but I heard from other people that he has had beef with multiple people including previous staff. I won't support a company that keeps a manager like him. We'll never go back again.

Disappointed that we were paying customers and the waitress who had gotten off work decided to override our comfort as customers. We had asked for a certain request and she came once and not only twice to close the door after letting the host know hey we would like this open because we were cold and helping that wind that was bothering us. We continued to move inside and that when we noticed her drinking with her friends/co workers. Again we have all been there and don't mind the after drinking with coworkers but don't go out of your way to inconvenient the guests it's always been a rule as an employee. Overall the server we did have was great but didn't want to bother her over the situation being we saw it was another coworker of hers.

The Hennessy's on the pier has better views but.... This one is closer to my house.
The food has improved since I first ate here a year ago. New chef ? But let's jump into the details
1- seating
A- The "street" seating is a bit confusing since there's overlap with their neighboring restaurant. Pay attention to where you sit
B- Outdoor seating : great for lunch. But be aware, around shift change (2 -3) the sun changes position and these seats are all in the sun. Yes, it gets hot. ((Note: yes, I have stayed that long having a few pints ))

2- beer
Same great selection BUT the Guinness pour isn't quite up to the artistic level of the pier. There's no cloverleaf in the head. Molly is a lovely person but not an expert Guinness dispenser
3- food
The same food as the pier. I started eating their burgers here and I've got to say they are really good!
5- the loo
It's small. It's really small. It's full of "character "
6- parking
A big lot behind the street. Nice that you can pay via app (and reload the time via app should you need it )

My BFF and I ate burgers and fries at Hennessey's this past weekend and had a great experience! We devoured our food. My only complaint...I wanted more. My friend said he was glad they didn't give us too many fries cause they were so tasty and we'd already overeaten. I had the regular pub fries. He upgraded to the parsmesan fries. (Burgers come with a side of fries.)
Our server, I think her name was Amy, was so friggin nice. She took our drink order as she seated us! How great is that?! And she offered up ranch dressing for our fries, which I love. I've never had a server just ask me if I wanted a side of ranch; I always have to ask.
They had a band that night and, although, I didn't stay that night to listen, I've been there for bands before. It's a good time!
They have indoor and outdoor seating. It's really great sitting outside on a beautiful summer day or evening.
Not gonna lie... the bathrooms are less than desirable and need complete upgrading. But, It was decent enough to use.

Came here lunch. Place was dimly lit, smelled like a bar, and looked like a bar, lol. The server took a while to bring me a menu. Mind you, it was empty as hell. Ordered the burger of the month, which was good, but not great. Also, they were stingy w the fries. It was about $28 w tip for a burger w fries and a soda...not worth it.

Just love Hennessey's ! The food, the service and the ambiance is just perfect .
My husband and I are regulars for the Hennessey's .

I was a big fan of the two leg and 2 wing chicken. They had 2 legs in there and also they had 2 wings.
I also ordered the burnt chicken club with slime . That was yummmm mm that was yum. Yum it was good. Next time you guys go make sure get 2 leg chicken and the Hennessy sauce . The extra Hennessy sauce . Also the bathroom was clean
