I went in the other day and their sale wasn't anything spectacular. The season is almost over and the sale they were having is only 20% off!!! They also do not carry any products from Mervin, which includes GNU and Lib Tech!

And I just had a questions. How does snow sports and patio furniture go together?? I don't get the business concept.....

They have a good selection of goggles and gloves for cheaper prices than Any Mountain and REI. I've bought two goggles here and I'm happy with my purchases. I've looked at boots here, but ended up buying them elsewhere. The employees at Helm are very friendly and helpful.

Brought my skis for tune up the week before Christmas.  Did they even tune the ski?  I used to tune my own skis in college, but now would rather spend my time doing something else and pay $40 for someone else to do it.  What a way to lose customers.  Ski tune is an easy way to make money for a shop ... but at least do a good job and people will come back.

Very nice staff -  knowledgeable, affable, not pushy - we had a good time being educated about snow boarding boots and comfortably walked out with boots for both of us.  We didn't feel we had to shop around.  The clothing selection seems excellent and the kids gear is quite impressive.  We are going to look into the ski bus trips they have to Bear. Overall great place for ski gear.

Excellent shop. They have a demo section where you can demo their ski and board before you buy. REI and Any Mountain may have a bigger selection but are more expensive and they don't have demo gears.

WOW!!! I can't believe no one has rated this lil gem of a sports store. Yea this place definitely has a friendly informative staff. I went here when they had this hug fat a$$ sale. Bought my bro his; slouch samurai board, k2 indy bindings, and k2 boa raider boots,-gf-K2 Virtue bindings, me-32 lashed boots-girly ass boots [not my decision] and burton escapade bindings.  And all for the price of 1000-1150.

Man the guys here are soo wicked cool, they'll do anything for you. Like everyone knows findings boots that fit are the hardest part and is a PAIN! So here this guy is sweating to make sure our boots fit, hes lacing, untying, pulling/tuggin, pushing on our boots and running around for different boots for many people and still being attentive and friendly at the same time. WOW. Then they attach your bindings to your board for free too, well if you bought your stuff from them. Hey I was a newb at the time, but now I attach my own stuff. I also hot wax my own board and tune it. Super friendly guys, I love chatting it up w /them. The snow goggle guys were nice too, even though we were picky and trying on a whole bunch of stuff they would get it for us and clean it up for us. NICE

Yea this place rocks. Its also way cheaper than REI or Any Mountain. Heheh we went back the next day and they totally remembered us and called us slave drivers. =p

They sort of have a limited selection of boards though as they only carry the top/popular brands and some small brands. They mostly carry burton, k2, salomon and a small selection of other brands such as santa cruz, roxy [i think] and various others [thought they aren't extensive]. They didn't have Option!
