I could not wait to get back to my desk to write this review! I have never had my eyebrows threaded and heard good reviews from fellow Yelpers that I had to try it. I was not disappointed! My eyebrows have never looked this good!!!! I called before I headed down there (Monday 11:30am) and there was no wait time. When I got to the Salon it was emtpy and there was nothing in there but the signage on the windows. So I called and they told me they had moved to the southeast side of Beltline and 75. I hopped in my car and made it over to the new location in mere minutes.

There was one person in front of me but it was a brief wait. I sat in the chair and the lady got to work. It was quick and not as painful as I expected. So I opted to do my upper lips as well. The lady suggested that I do wax and then clean it up with threading. She gave me some cooling lotion and the redness disappeared before I knew it.

I truly recommend this for anyone. I paid $6 for eyebrows and upper lip. Plus tip, this was the best $8 I ever spent. They told me that the wax that they use is home made.

So go on a weekeday as everyone suggested. I got back to my office within 30 minutes. That's driving to the wrong location, getting to the right location, eyebrows/lips threaded, AND stopping by Cafe Max for lunch to-go.

I will definitely be back in two weeks and recommending them to all my friends.

My first visit here was after I bombed one of my exams, LOOOL, and I decided to treat myself to some threading.

I've my eyebrows threaded at the mall mini stations before but never at a shop.

When I went here, the shop was going very fast paced... you have to take a ticket and they call out numbers so people can't get go ahead of you. So that's a plus!

My first visit was great, I got a coupon and everything.. however my second visit was kind of a let down. The lady threaded one of my eyebrows higher than the other one so it looked really odd and I knew she couldn't fix it. And after she finished, my face was swollen cause she didn't put enough powder on those areas.

This place is alright, but I'd rather stick to the threading stations at the Galleria and Stonebriar.

Today, I went to Heena on a weekend for the first time, and the experience was different enough that I thought it warranted an update to my  previous review.  I've gone a few times before, but it was always on a weekday afternoon, when there were only one or two other customers, and I could just walk in and get immediate service.

This time, I went on a Saturday around lunchtime.  I'd read previous reviews that mentioned the long, long wait, so I was prepared.  Expecting an hour wait, I had lunch at Taj Mahal Imports in the same complex beforehand.  I got a masala tea to go, which I highly recommend, because it's really good and too hot to drink immediately.  I also brought some reading material, a copy of The Economist and some textbooks for studying.

Walking into Heena, the difference was obvious.  Heena Salon on a Saturday afternoon looks like Barack Obama's America.  Women of all races gather here for the common cause of fantastic eyebrows.

The place was packed, and I got the last chair in the waiting room.  I took a number, which was 39, and they were only calling number 11 at the time.  It was hot and humid inside, and it smelled strongly of B.O.  I'm not sure if their A/C was broken, or if they just chose not to use it, but it appeared that the whole salon was being cooled by ceiling fans, which weren't doing a great job.  It was an uncomfortable 80-85 degrees in there, but not unbearable.

I read my magazine and drank my masala tea for 15-20 minutes until it was my turn.  Even though there are a lot of customers, the wait isn't too bad, since there are also a lot of threaders working.

If you can come to Heena on a weekday, I highly recommend that you do so.  If you can only come on a weekend though, it's still not bad, and definitely worth the wait.  Bring a magazine and pick up some masala tea beforehand, and it'll keep you from getting cranky.  I've come here four or five times now and gotten different people, and they've done a great job every time.

I only go there sometimes because its the closest waxing/ threading place. The ladies that do the waxing are quick but VERY rough, I always get bruises. I do have sensitive skin but I've gotten waxing done at other salons and i don't get bruised!
I have not found a good person for threading yet..can anyone recommend some names?

The price cannot be beat.

That said, it definitely matters who you get.  The one I had last time does the same shape on everyone.  Luckily it looks great on me.  My poor, poor friend though.  I second the "going on a weekday" thing.

Next time I'll try the bikini wax.

The more I come here, the more I dislike the service, and the less stars it gets from me.

The first time:
Wow, is this place really 4 dollars for eye brow threading? What a gold mine! What? There's a long line? You want me to take a number and wait about 15 min for my number to be called upon? No problemo! This place must be awesome!

(note: they don't take credit/debit cards under 10 dollars. When I found out, I had to trek over to 7-11 and pull some money out).

There are about 4 chairs and each are being worked on a customer. When one person is done, the next number is called on. If you want to wait for a particular person, just tell the person you are waiting on them. The problem is, the regulars know which ones are the good ones, and usually the wait time is a little bit longer for that person.

My first time was a little bit painful than I expected, but once I got my eyebrows threaded it was pretty nice, not exactly shaped as I would like them to be, but groomed. I'll take it, and I went home happy. No stray hairs to bother me. However, I did notice the cosmetician next to me was doing a better job, and I made a mental note to myself to get her for my next visit.
I give this place 4 stars for my first time.

The second/third:
This time I waited 1 HOUR and 15 min. Let me rephrase this. 75min!!! WHAT WAS I THINKING?????  My justification? Hey this lady must be good. Everybody is waiting for her.
The lady next to her keeps calling out numbers, but nobody wants to go to her. She looks at me and goes, "you're next". I politely tell her I am waiting on another person. She gets ticked and has a hard time not showing it (she's also tries to get your eyebrows done fast that way she can get more tips. How do I know? 1) I had her for my first time and 2) after waiting an hour and 15 minutes, I had  to do something with my boredom and I observed).

Finally, the girl that I waited on was really nice and did a better job than the last. She took a little bit extra care and massaged my forehead. Now, I know why everybody is waiting for her. She gives good quality service.

3 stars. Why? Let's recap. 1) I waited 75 minutes for a 5-7 minute service. 2) Though I did get a great person, most of the cosmeticians here do not give good quality service. It's just about making the moola for the big boss who's collecting the cash up front. 3) My eyebrows are only groomed and not shaped. She says I already have a great shape (blush), but cleans it. It's nice, but not exactly the way I want it. I try to say something again, but the lady convinces me this is what I wanted. So in efforts of me not being a difficult customer, I smile and realize that I am happy that my eyebrows are groomed.

The fourth and last time:
My cousin and I came here for our eyebrows again. She gets the owner. The lady did them crooked and when I saw it, I literally gasped. Horrible. My cousin was cool, calm, and collected. She told her that one of them is crooked and to please fix one of them to match the other one. The lady fights back and says that's how her eyebrows are. I jump in and say, "this one is a little bit thicker on this side, and if you can make it thinner it would look better". She gets mad and does it, and takes out extra hair. I silently cringed. My cousin just asked her to fix it again, and again the owner turns and complains to the person standing next to her in her native language. Finally, it was semi-decent. Ugh. I truly saw how this place treated their customers. I should have seen the red flags each time I came here.

I realized, this is not how I want to be treated. I  have not been back to this establishment since then. Yes, it's cheap, but do you wanted to be treated literally like a number?

If you want to get something done quick, come here. If you want to get pampered or be treated like a paying customer, most likely you will be disappointed.

I am better off getting my eyebrows waxed elsewhere (less painful, and not only groomed, but also shaped to MY liking).

I'll never go anywhere else, seriously. For a measly 7 bucks, I get a perfectly threaded brow and lip, and it all takes about 5 minutes tops. I'm a makeup artist and a bit of a perfect brow fanatic. I suggest Heena to all my clients to get their brows perfectly shaped prior to getting their makeup done for whatever special occasion they have planned. :D

Heena is a pretty no nonsense salon.. or threading factory, more like it. :P You walk in and there are usually several people in the chairs getting threaded and several others in the waiting room. I usually walk in and get seated with a technician immediately. I've been to several different ladies, and they all do a fantastic job.

They even trim any long unruly brow hairs after they're done shaping with the thread.. an amazingly important step to truly perfect brows that most places neglect! Not Heena though.. I never step out of there with anything less than perfectly sculpted brows and a totally smooth face.

I have extremely sensitive skin and tend to break out horribly from waxing and end up looking like an angry tomato after all is said and done, so threading has been a godsend for me! Its so quick and the pain is minimal. There is little to no redness afterwards.. any irritation calms down within an hour or so and is easily covered. Its so much more precise and gentle to my skin than waxing.. I dont have to hide out the entire day after i get threaded due to a swollen, red face like I did with waxing.. a little powder and you cant even tell, which is a godsend because frankly, who likes a bright red lip and chin announcing to the entire planet that you just got your peach fuzz removed?

Heena is quick, CHEAP, painless, and precise. I really can't ask for more. No, its not fancy, and no they wont bring you a chai latte to sip with mood music humming in the background while a technician rips hot wax off your face.. but personally, I'll take quick, no nonsense, pain free and precise hair removal over all that extra crap any day.

Cheap is gooood.
Threading is niiiiiice.
Heena salon is cheap and threads - nice and good!
I went in on a Sunday and there was indeed a crowd of people. I took a number, picked up a copy of Spin magazine, and waited for my number to get called. It took about 10-15 minutes for me to get called and about 5 minutes to get my eyebrows done and I got some Brooke Shields brows, let me tell you.  This was very much a threading factory but I saw they do other things like bridal henna....hrm. :)
$4 for clean shaped brows...madness!
Also, when I tipped my brow artist, she looked surprised. Something tells me they don't get tipped very often. So if you do come in, tip a little something; get some good karma going on!

I love this place. Have tried threading in at least a dozen places and Heena wins - and not just because it is by FAR the cheapest. Really, you pay less for both eyebrows here than most of those silly mall places charge for just one. It's always pretty crowded, but they work quickly and get you out of there before you know it...and with perfect, wonderful brows.

For those of you who have not tried it - threading might hurt a little more than waxing at first, but the lack of irritation after certainly makes it worth the pain. I've gotten used to it and find it only mildly annoying now, not painful. Visiting a place like Heena where the staff actually know what they are doing does help.

I have been looking for a good place for threading since I moved back to Dallas from Baltimore over a year ago.  Though I tried several other places, none were as good as my previous lady, and they were all so far away.

This place is far also, considering I live in the uptown area... but closer than others I have tried.  But.... I am happy to drive all the way to Richardson for the stellar job they did for me.  I had my eyebrows done... eyebrows are shaped perfectly and she did it so fast compared to anywhere else I've been that the pain was miniscule.

I will most definitely be back.... oh, and the truly amazing part.... it was only $6 total!!!! I am doing the happy dance!

Heena's a wonderful place. A no-frills threading factory, er I mean salon, for beautiful eyebrows.

A roomful of women stare at you when you enter the salon. Once you get over the shock that it's packed, you take a number, sit down and wait. (On a late Monday afternoon, there was about 20 numbers ahead of me and took about 35 minutes with 3 technicians working) When it's finally your turn, you lean back in the chair and hold taut the skin around your brow while the threading technician/eyebrow magician goes to work. A couple of minutes later, you walk out with perfectly shaped eyebrows.

Can't beat the price either. It's $4+tip for eyebrow threading (might be more if you're super hairy or something).

Pain factor: threading has been my choice eyebrow management for over six years now, so I'm used to the discomfort level (or pain, if your skin's sensitive). But my eyes definitely still do water during the process.

They're located at the SW corner of Beltline and 75, a few storefronts south of TJ Maxx.

Sign says they close at 6, but don't arrive at 5:30. The boss lady might be tired so she closes the store early to clear out the waiting area by 6.

Of all the places and prices i've paid for eyebrow threading, this has been one of the best experiences thusfar.  For only $4 (FOUR!) threading you can afford to go more often than if going to other pricier locations who charge upwards of $20+/- for this service.

I was fortunate to have sat myself down in Sejal's chair my first visit (about 6+ months ago) and she has done the best job of anyone i've gone to.   At one point I decided to let someone else give it a go, but have found preference with her.

It is a small, simple, very laid back location that lacks any pretense unless otherwise detected by other patrons (i've not experienced this).  If you are looking for atmosphere you are probably better off  with more of an expense elsewhere.

I'd suggest going during the work week because Saturday usually involves a long wait.  As well, it may be advisable to call ahead of time to make sure who you intend on seeing will be available.

Ok, so I finally went back before my wedding and yeah--I guess that's just how much it hurts.  But since I knew what to expect, it wasn't AS bad this time.  And they didn't make my eyebrows so ridiculously pencil thin.  Plus, the price just can't be beat.

I love this place--this is my go to place to get my eyebrows threaded.  If you haven't tried this, basically they take a piece of thread and clean up your eyebrows by threading them!  I've been going for years for threading and some waxing and it is VERY affordable.

$4 for eyebrow threading--how can you beat that?  Be wary of the wait sometimes though--you have to be smart about the times you choose to go.  Generally speaking I believe this place is open from 11-6pm daily.

Also, I have a favorite---Shazia is my lady and I think she does the best job.
