Living in Vinings has it's ups and downs and while Cumberland mall is actually the closest mall to me, I don't visit it very often. However, I do like the Heel Sew Quick shore repair shop that is located inside the mall. I went over yesterday for dinner at Jason's Deli and I thought, "humm... I could drop off my shoes and get them shined up!" I mean come on! A man is judged by his watch and the shine on his shoes right? Well..... maybe not but any way.
I thought GREAT IDEA!!!!! So I dropped off 2 pair of black shoes for a simple shine and went off to eat dinner. The VERY NICE! gentleman that took my shoes said they would be ready when I came back. 30 minutes later I arrived at the shop, my shoes were ready as promised and WOW!!! Those puppies were shinny!
They did an excellent job on cleaning them up and making them look great. Now, a shoe shine is a shoe shine right? Well let me tell you, the real surprise was when the guy told me the price of the shine. Just 10 dollars for both pairs of shoes!
10 BUCKS PEOPLE!!!! That's a steal! I have paid upwards of 8 to 10 dollars for one pair to be shined! Apparently, Heel Sew Quick shops are franchised and I guess each owner can regulate and specify how much they charge for a shine. Well the guys at the Heel Sew Quick in Cumberland Mall do a great job and charge an even better price and your stuff is ready when they say it will be.
So naturally, I dropped a few extra bucks in the tip jar on the counter. Great job guys! I really appreciate it.
Heel Sew Quick, Cumberland Mall. 5 Stars and 2 thumbs up. What can I say, I like their work.

HORRIBLE!!! They don't have a clue what they are doing. The heel broke off my shoe. I just picked them up yesterday & their handy work just broke off! Now I am at work with two different shoe heights! The first time I tried to pick up my shoes, they were not the same as the other heel by over 1 quarter of an inch. I was told to go walk around until they could fix it & when I got back they guy hadn't even started workigng on it. Then, I was asked to come back another day. Three trips & I still don't have a repaired pair of shoes. I am going to go get my $20 buck back & I have a good mind to charge them a fee for my time & the gas I have wasted going back & forth to that stupid place! If you like your shoes don't take them here! They are worthless. Oh & the cat up front lost my shoe while I was there!
