If you're in the south Austin area and want to improve your technique in the snatch and clean & jerk then you should get in touch with Paul.
Paul has a keen eye for teaching and correcting Olympic Weightlifting technique. His training style incorporates aspects of Russian-style weightlifting, which he acquired under his mentor, Oleg Kechko, who is a well-known former Belarusian Olympic athlete in the Austin area.
Within a few months of working with Paul, my technique improved to the point where I went 6 for 6 in my first competition at 37 years old.
Paul's team lifts during the weekdays and on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Check him out on Instagram at LiftATX.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Meg R.Austin, TX516Jan 8, 2015
I've been training with Paul for almost two years now and plan on sticking around for many more. Paul's ability to work with my limitations has shown me that I'm capable of a lot more than I allowed myself to believe. He's been patient with my recovery time (knee surgery) and encouraging at the same time. When I start to doubt my ability he's there to push me through it or adjust the form to cater to my needs.
I've gotten so much stronger and confident working with Paul and recommend him to anyone that's looking to up their fitness game. His prices are great, location is convenient, schedule is always easy to work with and he's an overall great trainer.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Tom T.Austin, TX477347Dec 7, 2015
I've been training with Paul for three months and have seen huge improvements in my strength and fitness. I appreciate Paul's experience in Olympic lifting to make sure I'm always using correct form. He makes micro adjustments every time we lift, soon always improving.
Paul always incorporates exercises that target a variety of muscle groups to increase the effectiveness of each exercise. He packs a full workout into 30 intense minutes and I always feel great when I'm done.
I feel lucky to have found such an extremely knowledgeable, experienced, kind and motivating coach to take my fitness to the next level.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Zeke M.Austin, TX3188Jun 18, 2013First to Review
Paul has been my trainer for the last 18 months and in that time I've lost 140 pounds.
Training with Paul has completely changed my life; I feel and look better than I ever have.
Paul is super knowledgeable, and he practices what he preaches. The guy just flat-out knows his stuff.
You don't see Paul to workout, you see him to train. He is gonna push you to be stronger and faster, you won't waste your time or money... and you will get results.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Adam K.Austin, TX91Mar 28, 2017
Paul's a great coach. Over the course of a year, he's helped me improve my strength, form, and posture. He's patient, a good listener, and knows his stuff about Olympic Lifting. If you have struggled with working out alone at a gym or in group classes like crossfit or Goldsfit, Paul can help you reach the next level.

Paul is a great personal trainer. I saw significant gains in my 6 months of training with him. He is smart and always current on the latest information. He himself, is a power lifter, which I think really benefits his clients, because they are working with someone who "walks the walk".
In my best Arnold impersonation, "If you want to grow your muscles, you must go see Paul!"Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
