This has got to be the most beautiful spa I have seen thus far...granted I have just begun my spa fetish but still. I normally patronize places such as Massage Envy in California with its plain purple walls (but great therapists if you shop them). I am a California resident but I am sure whenever I am on O'ahu I will definitely see Tiffany for facials. I actually wanted to see her twice on my visit but was on a time crunch.

AMBIENCE: What I noticed the most was creamy marble walls. There were dim lights, vichy shower, relaxing communal sitting area with yummy tea (non-caffeine they sell there too), cute lil nick nacks that say "relax" on it, everything was tastefully decorated geared towards relaxing the consumer. No $ spared on decorating here.

PRICE: The aromatherapy facial for 50 minutes cost me $80 & the foot treatment (forgot length) was $20. But honestly it was worth its weight in gold (elaboration later). They do also have a Pau Hana deal where you get like 30 minutes of each service for  half price mon-fri from maybe 2-7, something like that. I didnt get to try it again cuz I was busy but sounded like a great way to get a taste of everything. I did price other spas, this was about in the middle. Cheaper massages can be found @ Massage Specialists (Kalakaua)  & Quickspa (Nahua). M.S. was not a spa type place though, & never been to quickspa. Both places are a lot cheaper than H.O.E.

ESTHETICIAN/STAFF: The receptionist was well dressed & well mannered & was good with directions, & info. The esthetician, Tiffany I thought at first was a bit standoffish & I felt she initially took a while (I expected her to be ready, since I was a lil late). Despite that, I was not disappointed at all by her services. She gave THE BEST facial I ever had ever (note: I didnt get a facial that incl extractions). She begun with massage, the best face massage I ever had ever. SHe was so great I was crossing my fiongers she did regular massages & asked her if she did. She was so slow, & perfect pressure, covered every inch of my face, a very thorough massage (meaning she wasnt afraid to use her hands), she used her palms, fingers, her technique was immaculate, she scrubbed not to hard nor too soft, she did my decolette (however u spell), arms, hands..graciousness it was truly heaven on earth, seriously...the foot treatment was equally beautiful.i fell asleep but tried not to so I could enjoy & savor every moment. The only thing I think I would change is when she wiped the stuff off my face I would hope she'd make the water a lil warmer.

PARKING: sucks, but doesnt most parking in Waikiki/downtown Honolulu? :) You gotta park in the mandolay building (forgot exact name, but ask recep she'll tell u) Parking is like 1$ a n hour, you gotta just note what exit you leave through so you know which way to turn coming back to the elevator. Its good to leave home/hotel early so your not like me & get all frustrated not knowing where the heck 2 go. BTW if you come from Waikiki after you turn right on Alakea the parking is on the right after (i think) King St. Look for the Mandolay Building sign & park in there. Heaven on Earth is across the street on the left, check in on the correct Heaven on Earth door (there are two). This is why I said come early, lol.

ETC. Drive is about 5 mins from Waikiki, but I would suggest leaving at least 30 mins before your appt to park, find the right door, pee, sign in, etc. Seriously, its a little hassle getting in there. But then again Massage Specialist on Kalakaua was pretty nuts too (cheap prices though, think 90 mins for $70!).

Enjoy! :)

Two words: 911 Massage.

I mean, I'm always up for massage, but some days, you just NEED one. And when you work in the downtown area, Heaven on Earth Day Spa is awfully convenient. Even if you have to wait a few minutes, you get to do so in some semi-luxurious seating.

Plus, then you have the option of going across the street to Mix Cafe II for a nice naan or sandwich afterward. Or Starbucks, if that's what you prefer. Anyway, nice location for those of us stuck in the daily grind.

I recently had an after work (so convenient!) massage with Kalani at Heaven On Earth on Alakea.  Staff is super friendly, ambiance is nice, and the massage was awesome! Kalani really worked on the areas that I needed...she did a great job! I left the place feeling renewed and relaxed. Highly recommended!!!

I went to get an eyebrow wax today on my lunch hour. As the last time (for my massage) the staff is personable and friendly. I arrived a little early for my appt and got to relax in one of the massage chairs. Terri, personable and friendly, did an excellent job shaping my brows and making them even and natural! I would highly recommend her!

I've been to a bunch of places to get pedicures.
This place does good nail art. Make sure you get the tall & thin lady with the bob hair cut. She does good art

Based solely on my eyebrow waxing experience:

Got my eyebrows done by Terri. I seriously recommend her. I've had my eyebrows done (botched) by so many other people but this is the first time in a while that I feel my eyebrows are evenly shaped for once!

I've been going to Heaven on Earth for a few years now and I've always been pleased with their services.

When getting my hair done, I see Melba.  I don't do much with my hair (in terms of styling products or spending time getting ready in the morning) and Melba has always been able to recommend styles that work best with my features and wake-up routine.  My sister goes in to get her hair cut with Melba as well and she recommended a cute bob hair cut that my sister loves.

I have gotten my eyebrows done there as well, from different people and it's always been even and well trimmed.  I've gone other places and been very unhappy, so when I find somewhere that shapes eyebrows nicely and naturally, I stick with them.

They can be a bite pricey compared to some other places on the island, but for the quality and service and convenience (if you're living in or around the downtown area), I think it's well worth the cost.

This place is awesome. Plain and simple.

The location makes it a bit difficult to navigate but the parking garage across the street works great for leaving your car right across the street from the doors to this place. It cost me $3 to park for 2 hours in the middle of a work day.

The venue is spread across two shops. The main entrance is the one closest to the Verizon wireless store. Once I checked in, I was escorted to the other side where my body wax would take place.

The place is very clean and inviting. You sit in massage chairs from the sharper image while you wait to be called. They also have free lemon water for your enjoyment.

Kelly did my wax and she is awesome. Very professional, fast and just a fun person to talk to. She waxed my entire upper body (including arms) in a little over an hour.

Also, guys that are sceptical, you definitely want to come to this place. All the women I saw working here are beautiful. Being surrounded by so many attractive ladies is well worth the trip to town.

I will definitely come back to see Kelly again.

good service, affordable spa and great location right in the middle of downtown honolulu. BUT...they've recently added some uncomplementary retail items to the store (to make ore money?)
it makes the spa look really crowded and cheesy...hmmmmm

Over the years I have had some decent treatments here.
Why the one star then? The customer service regarding an electronic gift certificate I received. I called and asked for the balance on my card. The chatty girl on the phone told me she didn't see anything, but if it was purchased at the other location which went out of business and is involved in a law suit (Oversharing, anyone??) then only the manager could access that. I said no problem and asked to be called when they had the info. A week goes by and no phone call. I called again. Still nothing. I called three times and kept getting the same BS, then was told the owner would have to check the files. Whatever!!

Finally a nice receptionist told me there was no record of a balance and gave me contradictory info about the way the card was used. (I knew the starting amount and the date it was purchased.) I was disappointed and also 100% certain that I still had a balance just under $50.00.
I asked to speak to the manager and was told (nicely) that there was nothing more that could be done.
I hate the way management passes the buck. I was told repeatedly the manager and or owner would get back to me and they never did.
I'm not surprised at all that their other location went out of business.
I am more than capable of keeping track of a gift card on my own, but when they hype the ease and benefit of having it kept in their system for simplified use and the F it up all over the place, it's too much to deal with.

I won't be back.

Had the 80 minute Stone Massage mixed with a little deep tissue, my masseuse noticed I was way to tense so she mixed it up a bit.  All I can say is it was worth it... I do have to go back for that deep tissue massage though!

Staff was friendly, facilities were clean and it had a nice relaxing ambiance...

THE MASSAGE ITSELF WAS GREAT!
got a 50 minute deep tissue massage w/ HEIDE. ($88)
she's personable, friendly, & converses a little during your massage, but didn't over do it. just things that related to the massage: "you're a student? no wonder you have all those knots!"
my neck, arms, legs feel so relaxed & tension-free.
sore in a really amazing way; but she told me to let her know if i wanted more/less pressure.
she knew where my knots where & reminded me to breathe a lot. totally needed it after working out recently.
WHO KNEW that knots existed in the crack between my shoulder & arm!!!?
i wanted to sleep after i left! so it's a good thing I didn't drive.

:/   i called to see if i could use my coupons "honey money", the lady said YES. up to 3 at a time ($15 savings!!). i was stoked! but when i went to pay, this receptionist told me i couldn't combine the $5 off coupons if it's FROM THE SAME PERSON. i shoulda just left them blank...

:[   then they had a problem w/ my gift card. it was for $80 (it said on the card that THEIR WORKERS wrote)... but she rung it up as $50. NO WONDER I ENDED UP GETTING CHARGED $37. i went back when i looked at the receipt. it took a loooong time to straighten up on the computers. but she honored the $80, thank God i brought the extra card that said "to & from". i'm glad she was nice about it in the end.

i'll come back when i have the money... maybe another GC!!!

parking was $3 for about 2 hrs in the alii place parking structure (on the right, coming down alakea).

I would totally give this place 5 stars except that I went here with a group of girlfriends for massages, and we all got separated.  They say that the salon and spa are separated but actually its more like half a salon and spa on one side and on the other.  It would have been nice to spend the time in the lounge with the other girls but besides being lonely...the ambience was wonderful!  The staff was very kind and relaxed and helpful.

My masseuse was Rob who kind of intimidated me at first because he was so tall and masculine.  I was there for a deep-tissue massage and wasn't sure at first how it was gonna go, sometimes people use too much pressure, sometimes not enough and I usually have to tell them to adjust.  But Rob was fantastic!  He worked my knots out and applied more pressure where I needed it and less where I didn't.  I felt like he was really sensitive to what my body needed and I think that is what it takes to be a successful with clients.  He paid a lot of attention to my thighs and calves since I'm a runner and really worked on my muscles.  Man I was like jelly afterwards and had to take a good while before I got up to dress.  The massage was definitely worth more than the $88 dollars for an hour.  So I tipped him $20.  I am definitely going back there, its hard for me to find great hands.

I think that Heaven on Earth is a lovely salon - the ambiance is great and I love Aveda products, however I did have a bad experience here and I'm gun shy about giving the Salon another try.

I had my eyebrows waxed here a week before my wedding. And, wouldn't you know it - the girl who waxed my brows happened to accidentally pull some skin off. Now the skin above your eyes is super thin and sensitive so when she pulled off the wax I felt a raw or burning sensation. It really started to hurt and she put some lavender oil on my wound to try and soothe it. All I can say is that it hurt like a B*Tch but the worst part was that in the next couple of days it scabbed over and it looked like I had a black eye.

Luckily in a few days it subsided and the discoloration went away, but boy was I worried. Sorry I can't give this place a good review - maybe someday I'll have the courage to go back for another try.

I enjoyed my time at Heaven on Earth--I got a 50 minute massage and my masseuse was awesome, she did a great job and when someone knocked on the door of the room I was in a few times she went out, asked them to stop and then came back in and said she would be giving me 10% off my massage which was nice.

The only reason I'm giving only 4 stars is because the locker room is pretty small (only 1 toilet and 1 room with a shower in it).  The atmosphere is calming but it gets pretty cramped in the waiting/locker room area.

Overall though, I felt pretty relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed my massage.  So I would definitely recommend it to someone and return for a future visit.

Somewhat upscale hair salon and day spa in the middle of downtown Honolulu. Not THE best location if you drive downtown as parking is so limited there.

Prices are quite reasonable. Women's haircut runs only $55.

Day Spa is in a separately area with its own entrance, the outside is deceiving as when you enter, the whole interior becomes this cavernous labyrinth. The serene environment makes you forget you're in the middle of downtown Honolulu. Facials start at $75 and the products used are really great.

Did not give 5-stars as it did not have a whilrpool, sauna or steam room.

OK, so I hadn't waxed my eyebrows in a while. Gross? Yes. Too much information? Possibly. Back to my point, I needed someone good. A professional. Someone who knew what they were doing. I had some serious brow overgrowth.

I don't trust alot of people with my brows. Seriously, this is like my face we're talking about here. I had heard about Heaven on Earth through the grapevine and from my well kept gay boy-friends.

So I called and got a same day appointment for a waxing with Terri. Since it's a skip and a hop from my apartment I showed up early and got to relax in the massage chair and enjoy the spa-licious smells. Terri was awesome. My brows look amazing, but not crazy over done. She checked with me before every major hair removal step. Which was AWESOME, since I've been over waxed before.

Overall, I have found my waxing place. I trust them with my face. A bit pricey, but fully worth it. It gets my downtown diva stamp of approval!

I think something like this is SUPER going to depend on the individual... I have to say a few things.... mainly? these people know what they are doing. more so than any spa i've ever been to. but i've only had a few treatments here. both were SO AMAZING though. the people were genuine and professional.

there is a second location with ample parking and like a ba-zillion square feet, full gym, juice bar, two floors, etc etc etc. i'll talk more when i put the new location on here since it's not on here....

i'm very much team H.O.E. tho.

When I have enough money in my budget, I go here for my waxing.  I ALWAYS go to Kelly or Jamie.  They are THE BEST!  It's a bit pricey but they know what they are doing and don't take too long.  Ambiance is great here as well.  It's worth the $70 plus tip.

A little oasis in the heart of downtown Honolulu.  A full-service day spa, perfect for those of us downtown-ers to get a quick eyebrow wax during lunch (or whatever else you want to wax).  But if you don't work in downtown, the location kind of sucks cause there is no parking.  You can park across the street at Alii place for $.75/half hour for the first two hours.  But it is definitely worth the visit.  The service is exceptional and the prices are good.

So I had an appointment for a treatment on my face, but then when I got there, the aesthetician tells me that she wouldn't recommend that for me and instead recommended a different treatment - which even cost less.  So clearly, they're not in it for the cash, they care about your needs.  I was pretty impressed by that.  So I had the treatment - although I felt like my face was sizzling off while I was getting it done, afterwards, my skin looked pretty happy!

Oh - and they have the greatest  massage chairs that you can sit on while you wait for your appointment.  So you always go there hoping you can wait a while so you can take advantage of these super deluxe massage chairs!    And after each service, you can get your make up touched up for free - so eyebrow wax during lunch, no problem, cause they'll fix your make up so you look pretty good, and not red, when  you go back to work.

There were too many things I didn't like when i came here (maybe it's because I'm in the salon business). Anyway, the salon itself is very tricky to find and once you get there you have to park in a building not even connecting to the spa (which they don't validate). We showed up early for couples massages and they ended even earlier so i felt kind of ripped off. The therapist I had didn't know how to massage, didnt use any oil and was painfully pulling on my skin, and sneezed on me throughout the entire thing. I found it very difficult to relax as the therapist working on my mom was breathing so hard that i could hear her. I was surprised and disappointed with my experience at this spa because I had heard so much hype about this place (including that the owner is a licensed massage therapist) and was excited to give it a try. I wont be going back. I got a better massage for only $25 at the Aiea Professional School of Massage at the Pearl Kai shopping center on Kam highway.

Just a warning for any of those people who may want to get waxed, ask for someone experienced because otherwise you'll be thinking this is a training school! Whenever they tell me who is available I ask about the quality of their work and if they are recommended. Usually they'll tell me the truth and if they give me attitude I inform them of the crappy ass jobs I have had at this location (I'm stupid and keep going back, I know, but it is close to home and a handful of their staff really know what they're doing). GOOD LUCK =:)

My sister and I booked appointments for treatments at the spa and were surprised to find that the salon and the spa area are totally separated from each other. I think that helps to make the beautiful spa area even more relaxing and serene so that is definitely a plus. I had a pedicure and a full body massage. Prices are reasonable but forgive me, I can never remember anyone's name so I don't know who did either of my services. The pedicure was good, it wasn't horrible but it wasn't fabulous either.  The full body massage however was one of the best massages that I have ever had!   I passed out and am sure I must have been snoring,  I was in a state of complete relaxation because of this massage therapists magic hands.  Not even the kerplunk, kerplunk sounds from the parking lot above could have annoyed me at that moment. When I rose from her table I was like jell-o and completely tension free. Aaahhhh.
