This is a nice hotel with attentive staff.

I called the Heathman at 3am after being stuck in Hotel Hell just down the street and was told that a room would be ready for me at 8am the following day. I arrived at 8:15, checked in within minutes and escorted by the concierge to my room. This hotel is all about service, the room perfect, spotless and french press ready for the morning.

After coming back from dinner and drinks lights are turned down low and sheets pulled back ready to relax.

Great Hotel and staff. Highly recommended!

I started to get into paranormal activity after watching numerous episodes and the movie which became the number one movie for a low budget film movie. I started to research on haunted hotels and came across the top ten haunted hotels and Heathman Hotel was one of them. I went to the website and the rooms looked really nice. So I went ahead and booked a deluxe room and had requested for a room ending in "03" specifically because the history says those rooms have some sort of paranormal activity.

When my friend and I arrived at the hotel, it did look modern. When I entered the room it was on a corner which it was described. It looked clean, and the ambience was soothing. A bit small but it was doable since I was only staying for one night. I also booked an in room massage. That was a major bonus for me since I treated myself at the same time for my birthday. The hallways looked a little gloomy even though there were lights. I guess maybe they were trying to se the mood. But overall the hotel was nice. The staff was very helpful. I would stay here again and hopefully in room 703 or 803.

My husband and I planned well in advanced - months and months and months - for my very first marathon, which I happened to select for it to be in Portland. I wrote hotels asking about their accommodations, check-in/check-out schedules, if they were accommodating the marathoners, etc. I had my list together and wasn't going to leave a stone unturned for this "first marathon" experience. With specific regard to the Heathman Hotel, I selected this hotel over the myriad other top-rated downtown Portland locations because a) they were touted to be an establishment where, "Where Service is Still an Art," as there slogan states (and the side of their building is painted). Also, their prices were steep, but I figured that I would get this amazing service as noted all over the place. I wrote the e-mail address listed on the Portland version of the website (there is another location in Seattle, Washington). I received a response from a 'personal concierge' named C*****. They informed me that they hosted many, and took great pride in the marathon athletes during Portland Marathon season. The individual informed me a late check-out on Sunday was some-what of an option, but not that late of a check-out (maybe 1 p.m. would be complimentary).  (Note: When we actually checked-in, we overheard the other patrons being told that if they were marathon participants, they would be allowed a late check-out of up to 4 p.m. at no charge!). I went ahead and reserved two nights due to not being able to check-out later than 1 p.m. I also paid for an upgraded room. I was also informed that rooms would likely be no-longer available in a week or two, so I had better 'make up my mind expeditiously' or not have a room at the Heathman. Granted, these should have been warning signs. I book the room, two nights, upgrade fees, hoping I would have this amazing room, amazing service, just as I was not only paying premium dollar for, but planning in advance for.

Proceed to October, the month of the Marathon. I go onto their website and see that not only do they have an abundance of available rooms, but they had a special going on that included a Suite for about $60 less per night than the original 'upgraded standard room' that I previously book. This new package that was cheaper also included complimentary valet parking, which I did not have in the previous reservation. More savings. So, I cancelled the reservation I made with C*****, and booked the new reservation through the website for the Suite and the lower rate for both nights.

We go to check in - valet the car. Go to the check-in area, the room is not available, so we check our bags with the front counter staff and go pick up my bib-number at the host hotel across the street. Not a problem, it is still about an hour and a half before "check-in" time. We come back about a half hour before "check-in" time, room still not available. So, we come back 15 minutes AFTER check-in time, the room is still not available. All these other marathon participants are being checked in - getting Portland information (where the street cars are, MAX, good restaurants, help up to their room with their luggage, smiles from the staff, etc.) At about 4 p.m. the staff come to us and tell us our room is finally ready but hasn't been "inspected", but we can go ahead and go to it, it should be "fine". Keys were handed to us, we asked for our bags, which was immediately brashly responded by staff with, "Your claim ticket?" We informed them we did not receive one. They acted as though the world had come to an end because a fellow employee of theirs had not followed "militaristic protocol" and given us claim tickets for us luggage. We informed them where the employee had placed our luggage, but they did not want to hear it. They looked all over - here and there - and finally went where we told them in the first place. Our luggage was pushed into our faces, and that was it. No information about the City, no help to the room, no offer - no nothing. And we were the only ones left in the lobby, too, so "being too busy" wasn't an excuse.

When we get to the room, it definitely was missing that inspection! The lights by the bed did not work. The remote control did not work. Hair dryer? Where is it? Residual pubic hair from the previous patrons in both bath tubs/showers. Get me out of here! We go find something for dinner. They have nightly turn down service, I was hoping when they did that, our room would be "inspected".

No turn down service when we returned to our room LATE that night! Amazing! Get up early for the marathon, husband comes with me - we are gone all day and do not return until early evening. NO ROOM SERVICE had been performed! Amazing again! Do they not perform room service here? I just ran 26.2 miles, out of the room all day long - and no clean towels or soap or shampoo - nothing! Come on! "Where Service is Still an Art?" Bull!

Bills wrong, they argue with me(charge me for OLD reservation!)

Really nice rooms.  Odd, old lobby.  Strange hallways in the upper floors.  Great French Press instructions in the rooms.  Awesome restaurant.  Excellent service.  Sweet bed.

We dig the Heathman.

It's in between 2-3 stars for me and the Heathman. It has that stench of a place that's almost gotten it right... but the key is almost. I think Michael mentioned that the rooms are small, they really really are. They were well appointed, with complementary teas and coffee from Pacific Northwest vendors, and I seem to recall fairly decent toiletries, but I could have been happy with a few extra feet separating me from the bathroom and door at all times. I would however highly recommend the common spaces for party rentals. The Heathman's decorators have achieved a classical and modern balance in their function/common space rooms that is hard to come by.

In addition, the restaurant, which will be detailed in a separate review, is magic.

Traveling with one's 90 year-old grandmother can sometimes be a bit tricky. The Heathman handled everything beautifully. We ever ate at the hotel's restaurant two of the nights and enjoyed it quite a bit. The memory foam mattress helped me forget that I wasn't on my home bed. The tea pot in every room was also greatly appreciated. I also wanted to take the elevator to every floor to see all of the art.

Customer service was excellent to say the least. You ask for it you get it, in record time. I arrived earlier than expected and my room was available, so early check in was not an issue.

Room was clean, bed was comfy with your choice of three styles of mattress, it was a bit on the small side, but it was a corner room so perhaps I would avoid that caveat if possible.

The location was excellent. Walking distance to everything I was in town for. I would stay here again without hesitation.

As a collateral bonus, I tripped to Seattle for a few nights and rented from Enterprise. They of course pick you up at the hotel, but they just walk back to their office so you don't have to drive back to do the paperwork. Bonus number two, I asked Nate from enterprise if they could give me a ride back to the light rail to get to the airport as they had told me at booking that it would be a $75 fee dropping at a different location. Nate stated that since I was staying at the Heathman he would wave that fee.

Spent a few days here while in Portland.  Would definitely recommend it if you need a business-friendly hotel in Downtown Portland.  I was on vacation during my stay here and while the location was marvelous, I think it lends itself to a certain type of traveler (we were, by far, the youngest people staying at the hotel).

They have a personal concierge service and rumor has it that any member of the hotel staff can help you with any issue.  Need toothpaste at 4am?  No problem.  Need directions to all the waterfalls in the surrounding area and a sweet place to grab lunch on the way back?  They've got you covered.  While we weren't their typical guests, the hotel staff was extremely helpful and really seemed to tailor their suggestions to the type of travel that brought us to Portland. Also, our first room had a bum a/c unit so they moved us to the SUITE next door.

The undisputed top hotel for service, sophistication and dining. The Heathman is smack in the middle of downtown Portland, two blocks from Pioneer Square, and the only choice for many world weary travelers to this progressive and friendly northwest city. [This is also home to the exceptional Heathman Restaurant, a popular and stylish dining destination for power breakfasts, business lunches and date-worthy dinners.]

The hotel, built by one of the city's prominent lumber families, is contemporary and stylish; a reflection of the city is serves. Though its been renovated several times, rooms can be on the small side, but what they don't have in square footage, they make up in warmth, comfort, service and amenities. When the still-under-construction Nine's Hotel in the former Meier and Frank building opens on the other side of Pioneer Square, the Heathman will have some tough competition. Until then, this is your place.

I had one of the best nights of sleep of my ENTIRE life at this hotel. The bed was wonderful (you can choose three types of beds, 5 types of pillows..heavenly!), room service divine and all in all, a great experience.
The bar downstairs has a nice seating area for cocktails or coffee. The restaurant service was good, food superb, and staff friendly.
The rooms were roomy, furnished well, came with a coffee press, peets coffee and some aromatic loose leaf tea. The toiletries are L'oocitane, which I enjoyed very much.
To top it off, the door man is dressed in some time warp of an outfit that resembles a court jester. Hey, how can you be in a bad mood when a jester is greeting you?!

I have stayed at The Heathman about 15  times since discovering it about 20 years ago.  I am baffled by some of the posters who have complained about the service and size of the rooms.  The price of a junior suite is very reasonable,  and you get a large room with sitting area,  two bathrooms,  etc.  The staff is very helpful.  This is not the place for a full restaurant review but the dining room in The Heathman continues to be one of the best places in town for breakfast,  lunch or dinner.

Paul and I had quite a nice stay at the Heathman.  The rooms were quite nice, we had a king bed which was fantastic.  I thought that the mattress was way too hard, but Paul loved it.  They had a card in the room that said there were actually three different types of mattresses you could get and that you should talk to the front desk about choosing.  I wish someone would have mentioned that when we checked in, I would have preferred a softer mattress!

The bathrooms were a bit too small with almost no counter space.  That was annoying but they did stock the bathroom on a daily basis with soaps and lotions from L'Occitane.  Woo hoo to that!    The water pressure was great though and having super hot water was a very good thing considering how cold it was when we were in town.

Parking was steep, $29 a day, valet only but it was unlimited in and out anytime of the day which was great.  Internet was FREE!!!!!!!!  Awesome bonus!  The staff couldn't have been any nicer in fact, one night when we returned from dinner for some odd reason our entire room reeked of smoke.  It was so gross, suffocating almost.  Someone came up right away and moved us to a different room.  That was great, especially considering the heat didn't work all that great in the first room.  It worked fine in the second room although the TV didn't come in that great in the second room and one of the lamps were broken.

Hmmm, now that I am writing this, I am thinking....geez, should it be 3 stars?  Broken lamps, TV that doesn't come in, heat that doesn't work, too hard mattress, $29 a day parking?  All of that doesn't equal up to four stars, right?

Well, here is what does:  great location, more than accommodating staff, free internet, king sized bed, very clean rooms, and here is the best part:  $152 a night for a king sized bed with a AAA discount!!!!

I would recommend this hotel to our friends/family but mention the mattress to them and have them make sure they check for broken items prior to renting the room!  LOL!  For that price and location, I suppose you can deal with a few mishaps.

My husband and I travel a lot, both domestically and internationally, and the Heathman is one of our favorite hotels anywhere.

We have stayed there twice, both times while taking long weekends to Portland when attended concerts at the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall and the Portland Center for the Performing Arts next door. I remember my first impression of the Heathman and its rooms: utterly civilized. The rooms aren't large, but they are beautifully appointed, down to the bedding, the French press coffee maker and the L'Occitane toiletries. The mattress menu is a special touch; we loved the Tempurpedic we tried there so much that we bought one, but we are always equally tempted by the  European featherbed option. The Heathman is right downtown, and convenient to shopping, parks, museums and good restaurants-- although the hotel restaurant is so wonderful, you may have a hard time convincing yourself to venture out anywhere else. I have had some of the best meals I can remember right there there in the hotel.

My husband and I are small business people from relaxed Eugene, and we are rarely seen out of jeans. We value and expect warm, responsive service, and have no use for snobs or aloof behavior. I can tell you that we have always, regardless of our dress of the moment, been treated with utmost graciousness and respect at the Heathman. Wonderful place.

How do you work a coffee press?  Oh, the instructions are right here.

What is there to do in Downtown Portland this week?  Hey, here is a list right here of things going on over the next few days.

Let's relax in our room with a movie.  Anything on TV?  Wait, there is a list of movies in the hotel library that they can put on one of the three in-house channels.

There is restaurant with one of the best kitchens in Portland (and room service from the same kitchen).  A good wine list.  Well stocked mini-bar.  Great beds that rival the Westin Heavenly beds with lots of pillows.

But the French press for the in room coffee is just over the top.

If you get out of the room, the hotel has a nicely stocked bar next to the very good restaurant.  There is also a nice tea room with cushy couches and a grand piano that gets played on occasion.  Though I have never had tea there - I prefer a Manhattan from the bar.

In addition to the nice amenities, the service is top of the line.  If the desk is not too busy, the person checking you in will even escort you to the room.  The daily list of local attractions left in your room even has a recipe for something yummy using local ingredients.

Some of the rooms are pretty small, actually really small.  I had one room one time that when I set up the ironing board I had to climb over the bed to get to the other side of the room.

But those rooms are a minority.  The regular rooms are very nice and the junior suites are great with a separate sitting area.  If you stay there regularly you will will always get a nice room, and sometimes even get a follow up not in the mail from the hotel manager thanking you for your visit.

I've stayed there probably 15 or twenty times.  There is one other hotel downtown that I have stayed at that I would rate higher, but it is also almost twice as expensive.

After researching endlessly for the right hotel for our 15th anniversary -we decided on Heathman, a great decision.

Where and what to start.  Front desk service was superb.  We arrived early and our room was not ready but the guy (I'm so sorry I forgot his name - Nate?) was extremely friendly and nice.  Took our luggage and showed us a nearby map and places to go...  We stepped away for lunch and shopped around...great location too, Nordstrom, Banana Republic, Tri-Met, Pioneer Square...etc.  When we returned, the guy was not there but a lady was there and she was also very friendly and helpful.  While she checked to see if our room was ready, we took a look around the bar/lobby - LOVE the fireplace and the beautiful chandelier.  In minutes, we were approached by the lady informing us our room was ready.  She took our luggage and took us along to our room and giving us some history of the hotel.  I don't remember the last hotel we stayed at provided such personal service.

The room was nice - it was a bit small but still comfortable.  The bed was very comfy, we requested for the feather bed and it was heaven.  On the first night, we opted for the Romeo & Juliet package which came with champagne, chocolate, a rose, bath salt and candle.  It was very nice and perfect for our 15th anniversary celebration.  There was a chaise off to the side - perfect spot for a quick nap.  The electric kettle, french press, Peet's coffee and tea are really great to have.  The bathroom was very small and no fan.  They do have very good toiletries - L'Occitane so that's a big plus.

Back to service - believe it or not the gentleman we met when we arrived early remembered us, not just by face but by name!  I was very surprised - mind you even though it's a "boutique" hotel, there are still over 100+ rooms.

Great place, we really enjoyed ourselves and will look forward to visiting again.

Troy greeted me at the front desk and asked me if this was my first stay at The Heathman; I replied it was, I rented a Flexcar for the weekend and brought my dog with me for a weekend in Portland since I'd never visited the city. He escorted me to my room: a black marble vanity abundant with white, fluffy towels; a spacious king-size bed with a European pillow-top mattress; a chaise lounge looking out to Broadway below; a writing desk and chair with a full coffee set, and a matching tea set on one of the bedside tables. He said he would later bring me a menu from the restaurant below and would be sure to indicate which items were vegan.

Toiletries were provided courtesy of L'Occitane, with a separate soap for the shower and sink. I only wish the housekeeping staff would have not thrown out the bottles I used once--how else am I supposed to return home with virgin goodies?

The staff was friendly, courteous, hospitable, everything you'd expect from a luxury property. I'd return to my room in the evening and find the bed already turned down, a bathrobe laying on the blankets and a bottle of water on the bedside table. Whenever I wanted to know the way to a neighborhood or store outside the downtown area, the staff graciously printed directions for me. When I accidentally left my phone in the car, the valet retrieved it and had it sent to my room.

I can't recommend the restaurant with any confidence as the kitchen was unable to prepare my meal to my satisfaction--I'm sure the executive chef is a marvel, good with numbers, keeps a tidy lawn, but his sous chef and/or line cooks need to reconsider the lasting effects of smoking weed. In the restaurant's defense, they paid for everything but my two cocktails to apologize for their lapse in service.

I will gladly return to The Heathman whenever I visit Portland, overall my experience was fantastic and exactly what I needed for the weekend: peace and relaxation.

(Tip: being a member of AAA gets you a reduced room rate!)

Stayed here on a "stay-cation" a few weeks ago. We got a nice room on the business level. The room was fine. Very neat rustic motify. I didn't like the bed very much, but my husband said it was the best sleep he had gotten. Really, I think its a matter of preference on that one. The room was good sized and very reasonable for the price we paid. The reception on the business floor is fine. Lots of little snacks to tide you over until dinner. The staff was friendly enough, but I got the feeling they were trying to get us out of there are quick as possible. Overall, everything was just ok.

Although I haven't had a chance to stay at this hotel, I'm in love with their restaurant/bar. I've been to this place twice and have always been 100% satisfied. Nice and cozy place with great food. You can't ever go wrong with either crab cakes, hash-brown with salmon, and eggs with muffin. I'm telling you....it's just amazing!

I'm not done yet. It's also one of the best place for dessert in town. Their chocolate items are pretty good if you are a chocolate lover. Otherwise you gotta go for the bread pudding and/or tiramisu. You'll be glad that you give it a try. Don't forget to order a cup of coffee with your dessert.

A little bit pricy. They have Jazz from Wed - Sat nights. Perfect for a romantice date.

Staying at the Heathman was one of the highlights of my trip to Portland.  We had the Symphony Suite and the bed was amazing.  I am going to miss that European feather-top mattress!

The room was small for a suite but well appointed and comfortable.  I loved the pocket doors that divided the sleeping area from the living area!  They divided the space well without making either area feel tight.

The only downside of the suite was the bathroom.  It was tiny and the water pressure in the shower sucked.  But the towels were huge and fluffy and the shampoo, conditioner and soap were all from L'Occitane, so I can't complain too much!

The Heathman's service is second to none.  Everyone makes sure your stay is comfortable--they have a free turn down service at night and even drop off a paper at your door in the morning.

If I go back to Portland, I'll be sure to stay here again.

I travel a fair amount and this is one of my favorite hotels. The staff is helpful and polite, the rooms (while on the small side) are very comfortable and the hotel bar is fantastic. My only knock is that the work-out room is small but they have a nice treadmill and I have never waited to use it so this must not be a real issue.

Last week I flew in for work, late in the day, ran on the treadmill, ate in the bar and crashed in one of the amazingly comfortable beds. I woke the next day ready for my meetings.

Great old historic hotel.  My co-workers had been raving about The Heathman for a long time so I finally got a chance to check it out on my own.  I spent two nights there and enjoyed it very much.  The lobby was really old fashioned/cool, the rooms were great, the bathroom was just the right size and the bed was great (I had a featherbed this time around -- you can choose between this one, Tempurpedic and a pillowtop).  My only complaint was the A/C didnt work too well.  I was there just yesterday (late Feb) but I like to have my room cold when sleeping.  So unfortunately I woke up a few times each night to get a drink of water.
Valet parking with in-out privlages was a nice touch even though I didnt have to use it.  Everything was right near the hotel -- great restaurants, good bars (Henry's 12th Street Tavern was a 10 min at most).
Will stay here again.

What a gem!

I was able to book this hotel the morning of my stay and got a phenomenal deal.  I believe I paid just over $100 a night for this hotel, which was an incredible deal considering the Holiday Inn Express was going to be something like $130 a night.

The service at the hotel is incredible.  The valet was courteous and attractive, and the hotel boasted a classically dressed doorman who looked like he could have a been a guard from a German palace.

Checking in was a breeze, as the lobby consists of four podia at which the various hotel staff assist you.  The staff themselves are incredible.  David Sedaris was doing a reading at the Arlene Schnitzer concert hall which adjoins the hotel and, though the show was sold out, the concierge offered to call us if he heard of anything.

The room itself was extremely comfortable, if just a bit small.  However, like many boutique hotels, the Heathman is clearly a building from another time, renovated and brought up to today's standards of luxury. Which, I believe, only enhances it's charm.  Bedding was very comfortable, warm, and clean.  Instead of a typical $10 mini-Mr. Coffee in  each room, the hotel offers a french press equipped with pre-ground regular and decaf Peet's Coffee, actual colored ceramic espresso-type cups, and an amazing herbal loose-leaf tea set complete with honey!  Clearly, attention to detail was foremost in the hotel creator's mind.  Additionally, the bathroom was incredibly clean, with very warm and abundant towels.  Instead of cheap hotel brand shampoos and conditioners, they offered products from l'Occitane which smelled simply divine.  The shower was one of the best I have had in recent memory, with great water pressure and heat, something I was surprised to find in an older building.
TV service, though we barely used it, was provided by a perfectly sized flat screen TV which offered some very current first run movies.  I regret that I did not try the mini-bar, which took up much of the armoire space below the TV, as it seemed quite well stocked according to the inventory.  The room also offered some deliciously looking expensive treats of which I also did not indulge, but suffice to say that offerings included everything from caramel kettle corn and M&Ms to a $7 intimacy kit, should you really really need those two condoms.
Next time I return I NEED to try the restaurant and bar.  The menu was delivered daily to the room and it simply looked amazing.  Evidently the chef is a big whig (hat?) among the French culinary pantheon.  Photos of the crab cakes made me want to commit crimes.
My only gripe with the Heathman was the parking situation.  Though the valet service was very prompt, guests are generally encouraged to call the desk 10 min ahead of when they want their car in order to have it ready (though I personally never waited for my car).  And really, how bad is it to be "inconvenienced" to have to call someone else to prepare your wheels?  The cost was a bit much, about $30 a night, not to mention the tips you give the valet.  A bit steep in my book, but oh well.  Next time I will use one of the $10 a day overnight lots.
In terms of location, you could not ask for better.  Located next to the Arlene Schnitzer concert hall (an AMAZING venue in its own right) and in the central business district, the Heathman is proximal to just about everywhere you need to go in Portland.  My boyfriend and I walked everywhere, and where always able to find our way home, even whilst inebriated.
Would I go back?  Every time I am in Portland.

Simply amazing. Wonderful service. The staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and well stocked. They have over night parking and you can take you car in and out with no extra fee. Of bonus note: The hotel is reported to be haunted.

As I write this, I am having some down time and sitting in the beautiful lounge at the Heathman having a local glass of wine, and having just finished an incredible meal of Halibut cheeks.  This hotel is just wonderful.  It has old-school charm, but not stuffy in the least.  Personally I love the style, I think the modern "trendy" hotels are way overrated.  Yes, the rooms are small, but people don't seem to get the fact that it's a renovated historic building.  They made hotel rooms and even apartments much smaller back then.  Beds - supremely comfortable.  Noise level?  Nonexistent - slept like a baby, which is rare for me in hotels, since I'm a super light sleeper.  Toiletries - L'Occitane, hello???  Some of the best stuff around!  French press with Peet's coffee in the rooms, well stocked mini bar with some local beers and wine along with the usual fare, excellent service, and no need for a car, since Portland is such a walkable city.  We either walked, took buses or cabs everywhere we went (even across the bridges and up to NE Portland).  For the price and location, this place is a real gem.  And the bar/restaurant? Phenomenal.  Delicious cocktails and incredible food.  Oh, and there's also a library in the mezzanine, where they do free wine tastings every Thursday.   Highly recommended!

These guys would have left me high and dry...

I travel a lot for work and was excited to check out this highly rated boutique in Portland.  As always I booked online through my work travel site which pre-pays for my stay.  I ran into a problem when I realized I left my credit cards out of my wallet and only had a debit card with me upon landing in the city.  So I called the hotel to see if I could still check in given pre-paid status.  The clerk who answered the phone confirmed that my prepaid status and said 'no problem.'  Then when I got there they refused me a room at 11pm on a Sunday night.  I offered them ANY amount of cash and was refused.  I asked to speak with the manager and was refused in spite of my situation.  Eventually I reached a colleague who faxed a card to get me in.
The next day I overheard a staffer gossip to another "Speak of the devil, there he is" when I got into the elevator.
What a bad hotel.  There are many other nice boutiques in Portland.  Avoid this one.
The room was cute though.  Too bad about the management.

Who doesn't like a man dressed up in a medieval jester's uniform at the door?  Nice hotel in P-TOWN, but a slight musty and ghosty vibe.

Last weekend I left San Francisco to visit friends in Portland. I spent a lot of time researching boutique-style hotels and called many of them for prices. The Heathman offered me a suite with a king bed for $166 a night. What?! In SF, the Motel 6 costs more than that!

We arrived not knowing what exactly to expect, but it was great. Our room had a separate, small sitting/TV area, a great bedroom and nice bathroom with L'Occitane products. If a hotel gives you L'Occitane products - you know it's good! The also have rooms with pillow top or tempurpedic mattresses, so let them know which you prefer.

The hotel is is a very central location and the staff is helpful and friendly. Reasons for not getting 5 stars - the gym is small and the equipment is old and when checking in, there were only two people working and it took a long time. Other than that, I would recommend this place to anyone wanting a nice, clean room in a good spot for a great price.
