I stayed here for the first time this past Thanksgiving.  I can't think of one negative thing to say, everything was first-rate, the prior reviews say it all.  If the location works for you, don't think of staying anywhere else.

    Very comfortable, classy, and clean!

The service here was wonderful. My room was really nice, Wi-FI was free, and there was a big clean modern bathroom which always makes me happy (the toiletries provided looked good also).

The linens were crisp and fresh, the towels new and fluffy. I only stayed here one night, but it was a restful night. There is a restaurant in the hotel where we had breakfast the next morning. Service there was prompt and friendly, and they had a lot of healthy options for breakfast (greasy options too ofcourse).

Five stars, really 4.5. Best hotel I have ever stayed at, most comfortable bed I've slept in away from home. Very clean, modern, great attention to detail.
Complimentary: French press in room coffee, valet car service, morning paper, bikes (I kid you not...bikes!) local transportation, turndown service.

Staff is super friendly, helpful and attentive. All the front desk people are great and I want to give extra kudos to Shelby Rae!

Trellis Restaurant is very good, a bit pricey, but worth at least one dinner or Sunday Brunch...or both.

A super pleasant surprise.  Wasn't expecting much, and this was as nice (if not better) than the Westin.

    Loved:  The car service!  Great!
    Free WiFi!
    The restaurant is good.
Right next to the Transit Center to hop on buses to Seattle (the city)
Well situated near the lake for running.
I forgot toothpaste and they have complimentary tubes!

If you're staying in the 'burbs, stay here.

What a fancy schmancy little place in Kirkland. My team had a holiday soirée here in which we booked up a nice suite on the top floor of the hotel for the event. The suite is large and was a great place to hold a team event like this.

A huge flatscreen TV served as entertainment for the event. Kinect Sports and Dance Central are true party pleasers!  And there was a nice setup of small bites prepared by Trellis, the hotel restaurant and alcoholic/non-alcoholic drinks that was served by one of the hotel staff. Awesome service all around. Everything was pretty baller about the place.

Well, except the parking situation. There is construction right next to the hotel to build the new Kirkland Transit Center. Since that street is cut off, maneuvering in the area is not easy. There is valet service, but I found it kind of confusing of where to go. In the end, I found a nearby solution as there is a close by public parking lot with a $1/hr. rate. Money I was anyway going to shell out in tip.

All in all, I like the Heathman. Just the parking issue irks me, but the hotel pros outweigh it.

I stayed here one night a few years ago, sadly it was alone. It was after a long night of boozing and my vehicle got towed. I didn't want to waste money twice on getting a cab to my home and back to Kirkland so I just booked a room.

The front desk was so gracious that they asked if I wanted a room (for some reason I was unable to speak) and if I wanted to use my AAA card in order to receive a discount. All I remember asking for was a corner suite, away from kids and other noisy elements, to my gratefulness they complied.

It was one of the best nights sleep that I cannot remember but the Heathman still gets 5 stars. Hoping to stay there again under better circumstances.

Last weekend, my best friend and her fiance stayed at the Heathmann both the night before and night of their wedding.  They were disappointed when they checked in, having been given a room near construction that ended up awakening them at 6 a.m. the morning of their wedding.

I spoke with Keith Alger, the Guest Service Manager, who was INCREDIBLE.  He rectified the situation with such grace and warmth that my friends' wedding weekend turned out to be a dream for them.

Additionally, the hotel is beautiful, most of the staff extremely commendable, and the bar/restaurant is excellent as well.

Thank you Heathmann Hotel, and Keith in particular.

Undoubtedly the best hotel I've stayed at in the Eastside area.  Located in downtown Kirkland there is some cool things immediately around as well.

The class this place has though is second to none.  Car service.  Nice touch.

If you have visitors from out of town that need a place, recommend this place.  People also say the Woodmark, but this one is more conveniently located within walking distance to other places downtown.

Heathman is awesome!!!  And their cost isn't what you think it would be for the level of quality/service they provide.

In my book, Heathman is second to none.

Wow I'm impressed.  My favorite part of staying at this hotel is the customization aspect.  When I booked my room through their website, I was able to specify a Tempurpedic out of three mattress choices as well as the Seattle Times out of three newspaper choices (at no extra charge).
The service staff was friendly and unpretentious and the price I paid for the Classic King room on a weekday was incredibly affordable.  What a deal.
The room was equipped with three buttons by the door.  These buttons would correspond to lights on the outside of your room, which would indicate to the service staff:  Do Not Disturb, Housekeeping, and a general light for service acceptance.  Fancy.  It's also Valet only here, but it's not an extra charge.  I've probably paid more at others for less luxury.

Stay classy Heathman, I'll be back.

    LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place!

The service is ridiculously wonderful for a small boutique hotel, decor clean and homey, and the food was superb AND reasonably priced. Every person I encountered from the Valet to the turn down housekeeper were friendly and willing to help in any way possible.

My reservation was made incorrectly a few months earlier, but their recovery was text book good.  The bath amenities are seriously great products and they are sustainable! I tried the beef short ribs via room service and could not have been happier. Beds are comfy and you choose your pillow type. PLUS FREE INTERNET! Honestly if you ever get the chance to stay here you will love it.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Heathman.

    - Excellent service from everyone of the staff we encountered
    - Spacious rooms that were tastefully decorated and very clean
    - Delicious breakfast at the Trellis
    - Great location, within 5 min walking distance to all the main downtown attractions
    - They were very accommodating our request for early check-in and had our room ready when we arrived at noon (regular check-in is 3pm)
    - Argosy cruise around Lake Washington was a lovely way to spend a lazy summer afternoon. The commentary was a little cheesy but overall we did enjoy it
    - Our dog, who was traveling with us, loved it here too, especially the yummy biscuits that were prepared by their pastry chef

    We will definitely be back!

We stayed here for 3 nights hiding from the ridiculous heat wave that Seattle is having. (We have no AC and were melting.) It was a very enjoyable stay, everything went well.

This is just a really nice place, they bring you bottles of water and put chocolates on your pillow at night, they staff is overwhelmingly friendly, incredibly prompt with anything you might need, etc. The service is really, really good. Top notch.

The bed was FANTASTIC, so comfortable. I'm pretty sure that it was a full memory foam mattress, and was just so nice.

Not much to say, it was great.

I was put to the difficult task of planning the perfect retirement party for an irreplaceable member of our clinic staff. The goal was to find a setting that was elegant, memorable, and could truly show the owners appreciation for 17 years of service. After searching through different sites on the Eastside I found myself at the beautiful Heathman Hotel. The event staff was incredibly helpful showing me all elements of the hotel and event space.

Once deciding on the site I was assigned to an event manager that helped me figure out every element of the event from table arrangements and signs to appetizers, drinks and dinner.

During the event I didn't have to think of a thing - they took over EVERYTHING, and any request was immediately answered with a yes and quickly responded to. The space is on the spender side, but if you are looking for an evening of pure enjoyment and ease the Heathman Hotel is the place for your event.

This hotel makes me happy.  They remember me when I come to stay, the bed is comfy, and it's in a cute area in downtown Kirkland.

The staff is pleasant and friendly, and the rooms are nicely appointed.  The bathrooms are spacious and you can enjoy french press coffee in your room.  (I never have but I know it's there for you to enjoy)

It's in a great location where you can walk to a variety of restaurants, shops and bars.

    love this place.

I had a couples massage performed last month at the Heathman's Penterra Spa and was disappointed that it did not include a foot bath as
advertised in the pamphlet.  Apparently, if you have the Penterra
Massage by yourself its $100. which includes a 60 minute massage and a
30 minute ritual foot bath however, if you have a Couples Massage then
it's not included and it's an extra $110.  Seriously?  Are you kidding
me right now?  It's absolutely ridiculous that they would charge an additional $110. for bringing in extra business!  Even worse, I
booked my appointment with the gal at Penterra massage and she said,
"Make sure you arrive early so you can fill out our questionnaire and
make full use of our steam room and so you can enjoy your ritual foot
bath."  Needless to say, I will not be back.  In this economy I am
personally struggling and I have no tolerance for a business like
this who takes advantage of me and undermines my intelligence.  Oh, by the way, hopefully you don't have to deal with the GM of the Heathman, Les Utley.  This guy forgot what hospitality is all about!

My mother, some friends and I stayed at this hotel for a week in Seattle.  I highly recommend it!

I arrived in Seattle to have a friend there say that Kirkland would be the worst place to stay.  I already booked the hotel, so we kept our booking.  And I'm happy we did.

    The hotel was great!
The staff, though young, were extremely accomodating and friendly.  They helped us find everything we needed, from directions to restaurants to events.
The amenities were all I needed.  There is no pool, but there is a spa with a fitness center and steam room.  The rooms were great with the most comfortable beds.  As well, the restaurant at the bottom, The Trellis, was great for drinks and food!
There is a bus stop just around the corner that can easily get you to Seattle (I suggest the 255 for the city center or 540 for UWashington area).  As well, they have parking for $13 per day.

Across the street, there is the amazing French Bakery (I also reviewed this at 5 stars).  Go there!  I recommend the Cappuccino Viennese and a Feta & Spinach Croissant.
For restaurants, I recommend Anthony's.  It's just down the street and is excellent for Seafood and Pasta.

Finally, for those interested in Wine or Beer, the Columbia Valley is 15 minutes away.  Visit Chateau St. Michelle, the Red Hook Brewery (just across the street) and the Molbacs Greenery (on your way back).  We didn't have enough time to make it to the Molbacs, but I heard only good things and it looked beautiful!

Hollah! I am at 400! I love when friends come to visit, and they come stay in my neck of the woods... Kirkland! There was a sweet suite involved. Our room got room service: salami, cheese, flatbread, grapes and some champagne. It was a celebration bitches! Each room had a flat screen, everything was sleek and state of the art. I fell asleep, or perhaps passed out, in a super comfy bed, my friends were passed out in the other bed, and another in a chair so comfy it became his bed. I know it wasn't cheap, but its a really nice hotel, and a great place to stay.

My preference is to stay in boutique hotels when traveling.  I firmly believe that the level of service and comfort is higher than most  chain hotels, even higher-end places like the W.  The Heathman Hotel is an excellent example of the boutique concept.  Seemingly brand new, the Heathman is a small property (only 91 rooms) right in downtown Kirkland.  The lobby is very tastefully appointed with plenty of comfortable seating and a fireplace.  Good jazz is playing in the background and the whole environment is very inviting.  Service at check in is friendly and thorough, detailing all of the hotel's many amenities.  Among these are the usual suspects: free wireless internet, workout room (with high-end equipment), free local and domestic long distance calling, even free water in the room.  However, an unusual (and very cool) complimentary perk is the town car service, which can take you to major business and shopping districts within Kirkland and Redmond.

The rooms, though, are how you judge a hotel, and these are among the very nicest I've stayed in.  Spacious and nicely furnished, which a large work desk, Sony flatscreen TV (and quite a few HD channels), electric water kettle with organic coffees and teas with a French press (sweet!) and a gloriously comfortable bed.  It actually competes with the Hotel Le Germain in Toronto and Montreal for most comfortable bed ever.  The bathroom is also nice and big, featuring a great shower with strong water pressure (a very important feature.)

There is, what seems like, a very nice restaurant called Trellis attached to the hotel.  They have patio seating, which offers a great vantage point for people watching.  I've not eaten here and have only had a glass of wine (good selection by the glass) at the bar, but would consider dining at Trellis in the future.

I get a good corporate rate, but the standard rate is incredibly reasonable considering the quality, service and amenities.  I will definitely come back here.

Very nice hotel. Well appointed room, great bed/linens, nice bathroom and shower, HD TV, free and solid WiFi. I paid $169/ night with the weekend getaway package which included free valet and 30% off the spa (didn't use). Ate a late supper at the bar in the Trellis restaurant which was quite good and reasonable. Killer bourbon selection if your so inclined. The service was attentive and high quality across the board.
My only complaint was our breakfast (hash and eggs bennie) in the restaurant on Sunday was terrible.  Saturday breakfast (croissants and jam) in room was great. Go figure.

The Heathman Hotel in Kirkland is worth considering if you're looking for a nice room on the Eastside.

Spacious rooms, huge bathroom, awesome shower, free wifi, French Press organic coffee in the room, nice & free workout club, 42" flat screen TV, good restaurant specializing in local & organic food, $13 valet parking. If weather is nice, it's walking distance to a bunch of restaurants in downtown Kirkland.

And, Microsoft employees take note, it's a quick drive to Microsoft that doesn't involve freeway.

Kirkland isn't as big/urban as Bellevue, but that's part of the charm.

The Heathman is in the ballpark of a Kimpton hotel in terms of level of quality. Or, think a boutique version of a Westin.

Will definitely consider for a return trip.

First we were able to get a deal on this hotel, it was just a bit more then La Quinta and is a complete step-up from La Quinta.  The service was fantastic, it had a great small hotel feel yet everything we needed was available.  We requested a small fridge in the room and they brought us one.   The bed was extremely comfortable (we had the pillowtop king)
I had a pedicure at the spa and it was amazing!  She upgraded me and included a mask and scrub, total pedicure was an hour and a half!  I used the 30% off coupon from the front desk- making the price of my pedicure comparible to the little nail salons on the street.  The spa is really nice-I highly recommend it.
The fitness center is small but has really great new machines.  I was the only one in there which was kind of nice.

Overall I would recommend this hotel to the business traveler, or for a romantic getaway.

Are you ever in Seattle? Try to explore this city called Kirkland where it is more secluded and less busy. Right smack the center of Kirkland, you will find a 91-room botique hotel that's a few steps away from restaurants, bars, shops, galleries, and best of all, the Marina.  This place is about 15-20 minutes away from Seattle and 5 minutes away from Bellevue. This was a great gamble when we chose this place to celebrate a holiday weekend.  Depending on the occasion you're here for, the average price of $240 a night can be moderate or slightly pricey.  They have an intimate sized room with some unique items that spells "luxury and indulgence".  Here you will find the "Art of Sleep" bed menu which gives guests interesting choices of preferred pillow style between European Featherbed, European Pillow-top and Tempur-Pedic beds. Oh!Decisions, decisions, decisions.  Other amenities include personal conceirge service and maid service. Kirkland, a small, classy community full of young and gorgeous people, is a wonderful place to treat yourself to a few nights of chicness in this lifestyle hotel.  Yehey to a wonderful cozy night of sleep!

This is one of the best hotels where i have stayed. my husband and i decided to head up to seattle for a little weekend getaway and found an incredible rate on travelzoo for this small 91-room boutique hotel in kirkland.  GO TRAVELZOO!!!!!  it was perfect!  the rate was fantastic and on top of that we had $50 credit per day to eat at their organic restaurant the trellis.   please see my review on the trellis restaurant if interested in more detail.  the hotel is brand-new - apparently is opened last year.  it offers a full service spa - penterra spa, fitness center, conceige,   etc.  You have the choice of mattress....european pillow-top, european feather bed, and tempurpedic.  we had the european pillow-top and it was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!!!!  wow!  it was very hard to get up every day because the bed was so comfortable...had the best sleep ever.  very nice.  the room was immaculate....sparkling clean, the shower was wonderful...great showerhead with good pressure....excellent use of space in the room.  counter space for purses, etc.  Free wi-fi internet access, bath robes, slippers....we were really pampered!  it was so nice.  i would recommend this hotel for anyone who is interested in a nice, romantic place to relax and enjoy truly beautiful accomodations.   it's only 15-20 min. from the city...we were able to easily hang out in the U-district and the city and get back to our hotel without any hangups.  it was a wonderful experience...can't wait to go back.
