Healthfully is one of my favorite health, organic food stores (yes, even over the gigantic Whole Foods down the street on Bowery):
- they stock all my favorite essentials: organic peanut butter, young thai coconuts, organic vegetables and fruits, vitamins and supplements
- fully stocked organic juice/smoothie bar
- knowledgeable staff (come in with a question and they give you straightforward advice without the upsell)
Overall, a great place to get your grocery/supplement essentials...no long lines, no obnoxious hipsters....just shop and go!

I don't know what has come over me...but lately I have this overwhelming desire to gather and hoard nuts. I am afraid this storing of nuts in my pouches may have given me ginormously over-filled and asymmetrical chipmunk cheeks. I'll let you all be the judge.
I woke up at 5 a.m this morning and scurried over to my local market Healthfully and anxiously awaited the owners arrival. I thought about scaling the walls and squeezing through a crevice in the roof...but I'm not one for grabbing some working guy's nuts then dashing. So I waited patiently taking in the morning smells of man urine and garbage juice. Finally around 10 a.m. they arrived.
They sell all kinds of crunchy organic nuts by the pound, amongst a wide array of delectables. The owners and employees are very helpful and knowledgeable. You can ask them anything about their products...they even have a holistic health counselor on the premises, and they deliver. Great store...has everything you need.

I love this place and often walk past 2 other stores and numerous bodegas to shop here! (although I don't know why Yelp has it listed under the "Pizza" category - for the record, it's a grocery store.) The fresh produce selection is a bit on the small side, but everything else is great. Best of all the prices are the same as other grocery stores in the area!

You want soy products? Oh, they got your soy products. And usually a bit cheaper than at other stores. Yummy vegetarian/vegan products, organic produce if you're into that, and all the Amy's Organic frozen stuff you could want (the breakfast burritos = my favorite thing in the world, more or less). I haven't hit up the juice bar, but they also do have a wide selection of teas and vitamins/herbal supplements, with a friendly-seeming staff (they know my vegetarian roommate by name) who could help you out. If it's all-natural, they've got it here, down to the deodorant and hairdye.
