My favorite place for a massage. Students give massages and spa treatments at great prices ($25 for 50 minutes). Nice extras, these folks also offer additional spa services: 30 min hot rock ($15), eucalyptus steam ($15), brush bath, body wraps, salt rubs, 30 min reiki ($15), etc. The place is done up nicely, is very clean and the vibe is relaxed and calm. I've been going here for some 3 years, and I've never had anything but professional, skilled massages.
It is located in an office building, near the downtown library, and there is lots of easy parking, drive in down below in the attached garage and enter through the lower entry, the school is in the basement area. Call first for an appointment, and call early coz they book up fast - you can wait list if they are booked up, and I've been lucky and usually gotten cancellations. Enter the front desk area and sign in, and wait for your therapist in the nicely decorated, think asian calm, reception area. He/she will come to the reception area and take you to a comfortable private room, with relaxing music piped in. You can book a large assortment of treatments, and if you book a massage and spa treatment together, the spa treatment is discounted. If you are a return customer, you also get a discount. I've tried most of the massage schools in town, and this one is my recommendation. ENjoy and melt with pleasure.
After going to a half-dozen different people and businesses for massage, I've finally found a place that does it correctly. Healing Mountain has a professional approach and a very quiet, soothing atmosphere. The price is incredibly reasonable and the staff treats you wonderfully.
my sister and i went and both got a Swedish massage and it was very nice, clean professional quiet, for $25 you get a 50min message you can bet that
If you want good prices, and don't mind getting massage from a student then Healing Mountain has what you're looking for. I think the massage is discounted to $17 when you couple it with a spa technique session. This is a good deal because you get a bit more attention than a normal hour session, and you end up paying about $40 if you include a $5 tip. The students are usually trained well, and the facilities are very clean.
Healing Mountain Massage School, professional w/out a sales pitch. After spraining my back days earlier (pain scale 9-10 for over 48 hrs.)and being referred to physical therapy I decided to try massage first. Best decision ever made. Modern rooms have nice soft color palettes, quiet, relaxing, and calm. Warm blankets, extra heat available according to your preferences. Megan found the sore spot in minutes, I noticed the difference immediately, and it stayed with me all the way home. Painfree, feel great sensation lifted my entire being. A truely blissful experience, siesta time! I'm so happy I found this place.
