my favorite store on the Peninsula. the owners are very nice, the store is lovely and the selection is incredible considering it's in menlo park. truly the best selection of shoes and handbags within 30 miles...also a great selection of hand-forged jewelry. i bought a necklace and a beautiful bracelet yesterday (70% discount!) for my sister's birthday gift. their sales are pretty amazing and i wait for them because i am not paying retail for the kajillion dollar pocketbooks...the shoes are another story, unfortunately...sometimes i can't stop myself.

This is a great boutique for shoes if you're in the mood to splurge. I feel like the store doesn't quite fit in with the area. I would expect this type of store to be located in Beverly Hills.
The two owners were friendly even though they knew that I was just browsing. The atmosphere of the store is relaxed, yet luxurious.
Brands are very high-end, and I think most of the shoes started at $300.

I think their buyer is a really rich, really fashionable local beauty because their store has some truly beautiful shoes! I didn't recognize many of the designers they carry, and I know my shoes, which leads me to believe that their buyer is just ahead of her time and ready to start some new trends! They also have unique gifts, such as Pinky Vodka, Fragonard perfumes and soaps from France, and handmade jewelry. Cute!

Rich and Indulgent Shoe and Handbag Boutique!
This adorable boutique spans street-to-lot in downtown Menlo Park along the strip of Pink Tangerine and Calla. Move over kids, the competition has arrived.
The owners, Laura & Sara, have created a very chic New York'esque shopping experience here at Head Over Heels! The boutique is not jam packed with items but rather delicately spread throughout beautiful armoires, glass stands and plush leather couches. You'll find the likes of Giuseppe Zanotti, Sergio Rossi on the higher end all the way down to Havianas for the fun-loving summer flip flops. While perusing the beautiful shoes I saw a druel-worthy shot of Laura & Sara with Christian Louboutin - NO FAIR!!! SO JEALOUS!
In addition to enviable shoes, there is a gorgeous selection of handbags. I avoided temptation by not caressing too many - handbags are one of my absolute WEAKNESSES you see ... But let me just tell you, they are magnificent!
If you want to dabble in the luxury of this store without dropping major coin, you can purchase a beautiful bobble or perhaps a delicious soy candle. This is what I did today. One soy candle. $33 please. This is no ordinary soy candle. Zinnia Soy Candle - Chardonnay scent... Chardonnay you say? I guess so - while I'm not sure it smells of chardonnay, I don't even know that chardonnay has a scent, it smells divine!
While today I avoided indulging in my nasty, nasty little expensive shopping habit, I know it is merely a matter of time before I become one of their best customers...

A treat for the eyes. I felt like I had walked off a side street in Paris St. Germain des Pres area. I just had to do my Carrie (Sex in the City) impersonation right when I walked in and saw these TO DIE FOR black strappy heals, "Helllooo Looover!"
The owners were very nice and I didn't feel "guilty" for walking around touching (or shall I saw drooling and stroking) all the bags and shoes I knew I was not going to buy at that moment.
I did not see a pair of shoes for less than $250, well besides the token flip flops. However, I WOULD possibly buy something here as a special treat. The shoes were unique and beautiful.
The handbags were also gorgeous, big and the latest styles - but also pricey.
I will definitely keep going back. I know there is a pair of shoes waiting for me....

the people who work here are very nice. the selection trails those of other, similarly priced shoe "experience" destinations.
they need to rotate selection more quickly, drop the prices significantly a mid to late season and bring the new stuff in.
still, nice selection, especially for melanoma park.
