I've stayed at this hotel twice, which is actually a lot since this is my hometown!  It is cheap, especially when all rooms come with a full size kitchen.  Huge closets, kitchens and a living room area makes this great for a family, even with just a double bed.  The staff has always been friendly.  There is a 24 hour snack bar, including ice cream.  Free breakfast buffet in the morning.  If you stay in Herndon, this is your best bet for something cheap but worthwhile.
