That's a lot of food!
I friend from work got me to try the Hawaiian Grill, and I'm happy he did. It's tasty and affordable. I love the teriyaki.
The inside seems a bit mom-n-pop-ish, but there's a certain charm in that. The parking could be better - they should paint some lines or something.
I've been meaning to swing by the Hawaiian Grill on Baseline for a while, but when my car broke down right next to it today I knew it was destiny as I pushed my beast of a Geo into their parking lot. At first there where a lot of phone calls to make, but once my rescue was on the way my boyfriend and I sat down for a tasty treat. They serve yakisoba and teriyaki, but also some island-inspired options; including one side dish made of SPAM. Huli-Huli Chicken was a sweeter, richer alternative to teriyaki, and the mac salad was pretty darn tasty.
The decor and atmosphere bordered on "ghetto-tastic" but left you with some laughs and definitely a personal touch from the owners. I give them full kudos for having paper towels in the restroom! Not to mention I felt right at home in my shorts and flip-flops. I'll definitely keep this place in mind, for my next Hawaiian food craving because I want to try their Kalua Pork.
