WOW! Such a great find. My niece and her boyfriend told me about this eatery. Its hip and down home at the same time. Huge, I mean huge portions. Fresh ingredients, and I love their coffee. I'd go there for the coffee alone. But its the food thats a kick. Pancakes the size of frisbees. The Blueberry and Pecan Pancakes are so good.  Try the Tractor Driver Combo, I did eat for a day after that meal.

I wish they would expand to the Bay Area.

OMG . . . too much food.  There.  I've said it.  Thought I'd never say it, but there you go.

I recently went to Hash House for breakfast.  I've always wanted to try the one in San Diego, but could never find parking.  As I passed the Vegas location, I saw it had its own parking lot and decided to give it a try.  The food was great  - - we had the Corned Beef Hash and the basic breakfast.  To back my opening statement, whats known as the "basic" breakfast was huge!  I don't know how many eggs were used but suffice to say it was a lot, the ham steak was a very thick cut and of great quality, the mashed potatoes and roasted potatoes were plentiful.  All I can say is you won't be disappointed.

I've said the mantra "I don't mind paying for quality, just don't skimp on the food" many times.  That said, you'll find the prices "a bit up there"  compared to average breakfast, but Hash House is anything but average.  The quality and quantity is great.

Finally, be warned . . . you'll either leave stuffed to brim, or have a hefty take home bag.  Good eating at the Hash House.

Portions were huge. I ordered some sort of omelet, and I remembered it was lacking flavor. It was crazy busy and service was OK (we were seated outside in the patio).

Quant little place for brunch!  I've always driven by, but never stopped in.  Food was decent and atmosphere was good.

Prices were also reasonable to the portion sizes, but I find that to be a draw-back, as I really don't want THAT much food, especially for breakfast/brunch!  Also, now that I am thinking of it, the food was actually somewhat bland  - most notably, the gravy and the potatoes.  I had a scramble which was pretty good though, its just that all the sides went to a waste.

Drinks were good - I had the champagne supernova, which is like a mojito made with prosecco rather than rum, which was good!

Service was friendly when it was there, but the server wasn't at our table very often and we couldn't really figure out WHO was our server - perhaps this is because we were seating in the bar area (about a 20 min F/A wait), I'm not sure.

We were also charged the wrong price for an entree, and decided to speak with the manager - who, sadly, argued with us rather than just talking care of the problem.  Disappointing.

Overall it was decent, but nothing special to make me want to return.

The only thing I can say is that the portions are huge..but a bit bland in taste. Came here for dinner and it wasn't too busy. You'll get full but not satisfied due to the lack of taste. It just a fancier diner setting. I rather go to Denny's and get similar dishes for less which probably taste better too.

OMG, this place has the most gigantic portions I've ever seen! I've only been once and there's only so much one can eat... but between the 4 of us that were there, we tasted the house special - house hash, humongous flap jacks, eggs, bacon, and the farm scramble... the best was the Brown Sugar Banana flap jacks. Sooo yummy! It didn't even need syrup! Can't wait till my next trip...

See my pics for a sneak peak at the flap jacks. Yikes!

If you feel like leaving the strip and "venture" a little around Las Vegas, definitely check out the Hash House a Go Go. Not a cheap cab ride from the strip, but it's totally worth it. I love this place!

Portions are huge, but you can always take your leftovers, so stop crying about how big they are! They have a DJ so, if you want a quiet breakfast this is not your place, otherwise, you would love it, fun environment. Food is very tasty and fresh.

When friends ask me to join them here, I beg off...  It doesn't matter how hungry I am, the minute the server brings my plate (all plates are larger than a jumbo sized metal trashcan lid or worse, catering platters that I use for really large parties of 20 or more...I kid you not), I lose my appetite completely.  Done - blink -- over...  The site of all that slop on a plate -- coupled with the typical garnish of rosemary "branch" (twig would be a gross understatement) and fried spaghetti (about 1/4 pound of the stuff) makes me gag...   besides, why take home this mess as leftovers -- it doesn't get any better...yuck.

Once I tried to order a "side"  as an entree -- the ridculous thing is that these dishes are the size of a butter dish which means it's the counter extreme (read 3 bites max) and you leave starving -- plus you've paid the same price as the trash can lid portion... ???

I can't imagine their food costs here -- we're talking one order is enough for a family of 4, easily... a really hungry, fat family of 4...

Sometimes, I believe you have to take a stand and just say no..clever concept or not, there isn't any food that tastes that much better the next day (and night and day and night...) and leftovers here are inevitable...to me, this joint is wasteful and extreme.  If you are what you eat, I just don't want to think of myself as a trashcan lid eater...  ugh.

If I'm really bored I guess the people watching here is the funniest part -- in the beginning though it was better -- seeing first timers reaction to their order...it's hilarious...  I admit, I judge -- unless I see the same look of shock and revulsion on their face, I laugh at them... the folks that clean their plates, then scarf down dessert and a milkshake usually can't fit in the booths...  that's probably why they call it "twisted farm food..."

Who says size doesn't matter?  Well for this traditional farm food with a twist establishment, size totally matters! The portions are huge and fairly priced! I have been here a couple of times and mostly had breakfast items that were good.  The wife ordered a waffle with a side of sage fried chicken.  The fried chicken was tender and very good.  The sage was very complimentary. If you are in Vegas for the weekend skip the breakfast buffet and make your way here for a pleasant experience.

Ridiculously gigantic portion sizes. I could get at least 3 and possibly 4 hearty meals out of anything I've ever had here. If 3 people could agree on one entree, no one would go hungry.

Great burgers. Some great salads. But for some reason, it's just not my favorite place. I think the portions freak me out.

Hash House A Go Go: Twisted Farm Food

How can you pass up a place with a name like that?!

My friends and I wanted to go to a fun brunch place off the Strip so I asked a fellow yelper for a recommendation. Thanks, Teri C.! We all loved Hash House!

What's not to love?! There's:

The Tractor Driver Combo: Two Eggs w/ bacon sausage or potatoes with flapjacks, waffle or griddled french toast

Indiana's favorites: Andy's Sage Fried Chicken w/ maple reduction, 2 eggs, bacon mashed potatoes & biscuit

House  Hashes tossed with crispy potatoes & topped w/  2 eggs, served with fruit and biscuit

Decadent hot chocolate with huge marshmallows in 'em

Fun and innovative coffee drinks

Needless to say, the portions are HUGE. We were all so full from brunch, most of us didn't need to eat for the rest of the day...well, until 2am anyway, after a night out...

Definitely worth a trip away from the Strip.

Upon arriving in Vegas to visit my friend, he took me to Hash House a Go Go for a hearty country brunch.  Fortunately I was hungry because the portions are big.  My eyes lit up when I saw that they serve Bloody Marys - one of my favorite ways to get one of my vegetable servings for the day.  Prices are reasonable (considering portion size and quality) with most dishes around $9-14.  This is a nice alternative to the Strip for breakfast and brunch.

Great food. HUGE portions. I mean, ridiculous. There was quite a line on the Sunday that we arrived, but not to worry because they served bloody marys in glasses the size of my water pitcher.

The biscuits and gravy were insane. My husband and I aren't huge eater so we shared the original hash ... or something... and a side of biscuits and gravy and still couldn't come close to finishing.

great hangover food!

Most of the reviews are mention the few things I've noticed with this place.  1) It's not cheap for a breakfast joint.  2) You do get what you pay for.  3) The plates you get will find a family of 4 - off of just one plate.

These have to be some of the largest servings I've ever had for a regular menu item.  Taking a lunch here the other day, I ended up with a 3-5 doggy bag of Chicken Pot Pie.  I could literally wear the rosemary-bread bowl that the pie was in as a hat.

It's a classy joint, ya know, when you can order a beer in the can with a paper bag to cover it up.  I love eating here and like I've mentioned in other reviews, use Restaurant.com when eating here to save a few bucks.

WARNING!!!

The portions here are gi-freaking-normous! You think your hungry and so when your friends says "Hey! We should split something? Wanna split something?" And then because you haven't eaten alllll day you say "No, I think I want my own..." Don't say I didn't warn you.

4 of us went and each got something different. Someone got the pancakes which was the size of a large hubcap. I got the chicken and waffles which featured two chicken breast on top of FOUR bacon stuffed waffles (I know, crazy!). We also had a skillet dish that used a real skillet not a mini or skinny skillet. And finally meatloaf which could have a fed a family of four for days.

As far as taste this place had quality to go with the quantity. The drinks were equally good and generous.

Service was great and very friendly.

The only downside is the location. It's quite a trek from the strip, you definitely have to go there as a destination. It's not something that you can stumble upon.

I'll definitely go there if I ever am in the area.

So you want breakfast do you? This contemporary southern cuisine is, hoe do you say, IN-CRED-IBLE.  It's mostly a breakfast spot but the lunch is worth it as well. Whenever I have people in town this place is on the to-do list. Be ready to share or for leftovers because the portions are Gi-normous. It's comfort food at it's best. They serve my absolute fav dish in this town, Andy's Sage Fried Chicken Benedict. Not your typical breakfast selection I know.  It's a piece of fried chicken on top of scrambled eggs and spinach on top of mashed potatoes and bacon on top of a huge biscuit cover with a chipotle cream sauce that is nothing short of heaven. The flapjack is the next on my list. Yeah that's singular. That's because it's pretty much the size of a medium pizza. The coffee is very strong which I like but I know I'm in the minority on that one.

The staff is very nice but you have to remember that great food takes time so if you are in a hurry you might want to try somewhere else. Expect about a 10 - 30 minute wait here on the weekends but you golden on the weekdays. For the weekend warriors why not try the Beer-In-a-Bag special they have while you wait. It's a Bud tall can in a brown paper bag. A Nevada Classic!

Why is it that every single time I come here, I see AT LEAST 5 people pushing 400 pounds?  Maybe they come here everyday cuz I would if I did.

If I were going to bring a person that had never been to the US to see how ridiculous portions can be...I'd take them here.  I usually split something with the wife when we go.  Breakfast is the best here and the drinks are great too!!

Its a train wreck of food coming at my face and I can't look away!!

Anyplace that serves fried chicken for breakfast really gets me!!

If you're looking for a more manageable meal try the corned beef or any of the other hashes. They're still big portions, but look reasonable compared to everything else!

WOW...The servings here are huge, enormous, vast, gigantic, massive, mammoth, colossal, titanic!!  A bit of advice, look to split everything on the menu.  I had the sausage gravy pot pie and it was more than enough for two people.  When our server brought it out, my first words were "holy shit" that's huge (please refrain from any cheap jokes)!  Rosemarie ordered some eggs and a mango coconut pancake.  The pancake was so big that it came out on a pizza platter. This place is American gluttony in a nutshell.  I almost felt guilty that there was so much food. Bottom line, even though the portions are huge...the food is good.  We will definitely be coming back and definitely be sharing....

Huge portions and long waits are the name of the game here.  It was about 30 minute wait for us - not too bad, I suppose.

They don't use plates here - think PLATTERS, obesity and the answer to why Europeans are more healthy than us!

I ordered the delicious bacon avocado swiss and onion scramble with their crispy potatoes and a biscuit w/freshly made strawberry jam. I recommend forgoing those and trying the griddled mashed potatoes.  I found the crispy potatoes flavorless and boring.  The biscuit and strawberry jam were divine, however.

They have a full bar and feature some Midwestern kitsch - such as Milwaukees Best in a brown bag as one of the menu items.  Love the attitude on the menu.

The server almost messed up the order and gave my scramble to a couple who had just arrived.  It was corrected quickly.

Definitely worth the drive from the Strip, but if you're looking for a good breakfast and looking to get away from the casinos, save your money and try Blueberry Hill.   I think that's a better value.

Bloody Marys great and the portions HUGE!!!!!! Staff are friendly and fun. Costumes are great, atmosphere fun. Love this place can't wait to go back.
Better to split a meal, since one plate is the size of four meals. Comfort food at it's best. Try the bread pudding, sweet and Delicious.

Huge freakin' portions! Damn... it's one of the few places that I was challenged to finish all of my plate! I usually have no trouble knocking off "large" plates, but this one was definitely a challenge... The steak I had was a good 24 oz. and all the side dishes were enough to feed the starving children in Africa, and then some. I saw so many people sitting around our table, just in awe of the portions that were being served at their (and others') tables... Aside from the huge portions, the variety of dishes here were surprisingly nice. They even offer breakfast dishes during dinner hours, so that's a plus for anyone that craves pancakes at 10pm... Beware of the pancakes though... they are about the size of a pizza, and enough to definitely make the hungriest of people full. So, if you enjoy large portions, and a challenge... or an opportunity to impress your friends by finishing off a freakin' cow-sized steak.... this is the place! The service was also quite nice here the few times I've eaten here... and parking has been no trouble as well... I'm not sure it's all that family-friendly though... the place is set up more like a trendy, late-night place for adults...

This place is great!!!

Was in vegas w/ girlfriend for weekend and some business, and needed a good breakfast joint.... Found it on Yelp!!

Please has some interesting dishes on the menu and they come in HUGE portions.  I had the Chipotle quesadilla... Very spicy.

They are famous for "farm" fresh food and I'll have to say the food was very fresh.

Service was good, our waiter made sure we were happy and kept my iced tea glass full.   What more can you ask for.

Breakfast.  As in Break Fast.  If I ever fast this is where I'm breaking it at.  Those 6000 calories I will have missed over 3 days of nothing will be made up in 1 sitting here.

For all the criticisms, some deserved, others, well I guess we all have our bad days that we take out on undeserving others:  The corned beef hash doesn't come from a dog food can.  It's real corned beef shredded with potatoes.  My one complaint is they could dice up everything a little finer, it's hardly bite size like hash should be.  I mean with the portions and plate size you get a real Land of the Giants feel.

This place is a great start for a 10 mile (acid head) hike in Red Rocks.

Get off the strip, man.

Alone in Vegas for three days on a work-related trip, I eagerly anticipated visiting Hash House. I had long frequented their San Diego location and salivated at the opportunity to return.

I came here twice, once for a Wednesday night dinner and once for a Friday early afternoon lunch. This location lives up to the original! For you San Diego ex-pats or visitors, you'll be pleased to find more seating and ample parking at this location. As other reviewers have noted, it is off-strip but well worth the voyage.

On my first trip for dinner, I decided upon the meal in less than five minutes. One of the evening's specials, the Lamb Chop Hash, wound up being worthy of a Last Supper. They do serve hashes for dinner and some late breakfast options, which is great. Mine came with scrambled eggs, yummy potatoes, roasted peppers, spinach, asparagus, the obligatory rosemary tree (although the rosemary must not thrive here as it does in San Diego, since Vegas's rosemary is about half the length) stuck, three good-sized lamb chops - all drizzled in barbecue sauce. The kicker was a dollop (HH-standard "dollop" is the equivalent of 3 tablespoons' worth) of goat cheese. It was mouthwatering. Downed with a pint of Stella and waddled out the door with leftovers, though my lack of refrigerator in the hotel room ensured their waste (a tragedy).

Friday afternoon pulled me back toward HH. This time, I picked one of their burgers (with avocado, bacon, and cheddar). WIth the help of the baby Jesus and a calculated decision to NOT eat the hamburger bun (don't get me wrong: I worship carbohydrates, but at HH, you need to focus, and their hamburger buns are only average instead of divine), I successfully finished my plate. I selected the salad with cucumber dressing (delicious, but make sure you take your server up on the freshly ground pepper offer) as my side. If you're a coffee lover, don't even think about leaving this place without ordering the smores mocha. Good for your coffee and for your dessert.

You can attempt the split plate strategy, but you can easily get two meals out of anything you order here. If you're a leftovers lover or are visiting Vegas and have the appropriate kitchen access, go for it.

Tip: If you are not an onion lover, as my bff is, beware: scallions are thrown all over almost every single dish here. I personally welcome them, but some might see them as little green monsters of death.

The service was polite and prompt, bordering on friendly. If you're in town for more than 48 hours and forsake HH for some rednecky buffet, your loss!

Five stars for a brunch place? Hell yeah!  (I haven't had their dinner menu, but for a weekend brunch, it hits the spot!)

After driving by numerous times and being intrigued by the name of the restaurant alone, it was about time I got a chance to experience what the Hash House was really all about.

After about a 20 minute wait, we were starving.  It didn't help that we could see (stare) at what the diners were chowing on as they sat on the patio.  Gigantic portions of anything and everything, that's for sure!

I had their special Mimosa with Pom Tangerine.  Can I say yum?  If my boyfriend will make me a pitcher of that, I promise to get drunk real fast!  My other dining companions had their HH Bloody Mary with all the fixings.  Those darn fixings were fabuloso!  They came with these vinegared Blue Lake string beans and stuffed green olives.  I heard two exclamations of "I think this the BEST Bloody Mary I have ever had!"  Hot damn!  That was 2 for 2!

For food, I ordered their special Farmer's Daughter House Hash that came with two eggs your way, biscuit, watermelon, and portabello mushrooms, cheddar cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, etc. on potatoes.  It was damn good!  My BF had the HH Famous Meatloaf Hash House with spinach, meatloaf chunks, cheese and some other stuff on potatoes, along with two eggs his way, watermelon and a biscuit.  These house hashes arrived on a big ole' skillet and were hearty portions, which could easily be shared by two.

My other dining companion had a omelet with salmon and brie.  The brie was such a nice and smooth taste to the omelet. Yummy!  And our 4th diner chose Two Eggs with Bacon and Toast.  Both orders arrived with a gigantic mound of mashed potatoes that were tasty too.

The best part...thank goodness the waitress told us about the homemade strawberry jam!  We were slathering that all over our biscuits and were just about to slather it all over ourselves. It was that good!  Hot damn!

Looking around at other diners, they had massive salads, gigantic pancakes and waffles that were falling over the edge of the plate, and huge sandwiches.  It all looked so good!  Portions were plenty and you definitely feel like you get a big bang for your buck!

I was definitely curious to see if the dessert menu was so generous.  Unfortunately, we were told the desserts were of average size.  They only had a Strawberry Cobbler, Cheesecake, and some Snickers thing.  But then again, with all this food...who makes it to dessert anyway?

Service was fabulous!  Our waitress was super friendly, being patient with our delay in ordering and even bringing over more Bloody Mary fixings so we could devour.

With a name like this, I am confident that you can have a feast after a little 'hash' of your own!  I'm even putting this restaurant into my "Top Restaurants" and "Nice date restaurants in Vegas" because if a boy brought me here 'the morning after', he would get a gold star in my book for sure!  That's right boys...if you're letting the girl stay over into brunch time and you bring her here, she'll be more than happy to go back to your place again (assuming you give her a chance to digest!).  And ladies, if you bring the guy here the morning after, he'll be sure to stick around for a few more mornings after for sure!

Anyone who wants a hearty brunch in Vegas away from the strip, Hash House a Go Go is your place to go!  Their numerous awards for breakfast and brunch are well deserved!

Update: 01/04/07 - I recently went back for their special Blue Lump Crab Cake with chili mayo and mashed potatoes ($15.95).  The mayo had a nice zing for the crab cake and the deep fried angel hair pasta garnishment had a nice crunch.  It was a yummy dish and big enough to share.  It's a $2.50 split charge if you do share it.  Their homemade jam was a mixed berry concoction this time.  I also tried their Banana Pancake with Cinnamon.  The BF loved it, I'm more of a waffle kind of girl myself.

(Check out the photos above of my good eats!)

Yes the portions are big.  Yes it is fresh.  Yes the building is new, nice and shiny with all of that chrome, but I just don't get this place.  For the price (most every item was around $12) you can definitely get better food and coffee anywhere else in the city (try Blueberry Hill for example).  The biscuits (a specialty) were big but they were served cold and without any butter or honey (is that a non-Southerner thing???).  Worst of all, the morning I was there (after 9am), there were 2 servers who couldn't handle a nearly empty room of 6 tables.  My idiot waiter (Jose or something like that) forgot about us and then when I tried to use a $10 gift certificate, ended up taking off only 10%!  Save your money and appetite and go for someplace that knows breakfast!

One of my friends just moved to San Diego and he knows I'm huge on breakfast so he said he found a new place and told me about it. I later realized that we had one of them in Las Vegas so I decided to go.

Ordered two appetizers, and two dishes for main course and got a few of their specialty drinks.  Wow, the food came out all together and let me tell you the PORTIONS ARE HUGE. Split dishes, don't bother doing it all by yourself or plan on taking home food with you.

You can feed small countries with the food on these plates. The dishes are unique to themselves, tastes are different. Don't expect the normal eggs Benedict  these are special versions and will be sure to keep you full!

I have been back four times. If your going in a group restaurants website has coupons to save some cash. This is a must go :)

After a night of partying, a friend suggest, no insist that we go to the hash house.

Well we did and here the review.

The place was pack ( a good sign), but the wait wasn't too long.

I ordered the country pork chop dish ( not sure if it the correct name of the damn dish) and the bacon waffles.

As I sat patiently watching other people stuff their face with huge, no gianormous pancakes. I too wanted to stuff my face with food.

The waiter brought out the order and my dish HUGE. The size of the portions could have fed a small village for months.

Well to my disappointment the country style pork chops was not as I expected. There were mash potatoes underneath the pork chops which was then covered in a maple style gravy and top off with tomatoes and a slice of watermelon.

The chops didn't go too well with the gravy. The best thing about the dish was the tomatoes and the slice watermelon.

The bacon waffles may sound unpleasing, but it was bacon goodness, slices of bacon entrenched in the waffle.

As I ate the bacon waffles, I felt a mixed feeling of guilt and pleasure.

I only finish a quarter of the food I order, so yeah the left-overs could have still fed a small village.

Overall this place wasn't too bad.

If you are looking for gigantic portions and utter disregard for healthy dieting, then you should definitely come here!

HUGE plates of delicious mid-western style dishes come to you with great easy-going wait service. I really enjoyed my House Hash with bacon dish. My friend got the special mutton of the day, served with home fries on a hot iron skillet.

My favourite thing during my visit here was the wonderful blueberry jam, made that day and not sold anywhere else. Oh, and the mixed Apple Tangerine fresh squeezed juices was phenomenal!

Second location I've been to, still my favorite and best breakfast choice.

Our server was most helpful, she described how they did things around there: fresh and quality ingredients, super large portions served on platters, and the trick to avoiding the "share charge." The food is too much for one person, so if you share without the other person ordering at least a side, they charge an extra $2.50. Still worth it despite that stipulation.

The flapjcks can be split between a family of four and cut like a pizza, its ridiculous. The smoked salmon hash is the way to go, its an overwhelming first bite. Their house made strawberry jam is delicious on their biscuits.

Its larger than the San Diego location, so luckily on a Friday morning my party of five did not have to wait at all.

They also serve lunch and dinner, check out the website for the menu.

Great food is the only reason this place gets 3 stars.  After waiting almost an hour for a table and settling to sit in the bar area was a bit annoying. The staff is very rude/arrogant and it seemed like we were bothering the staff whenever we needed something.  As I said, the food is great but unless you are a regular and they know you.....be prepared for lackluster service.

When visiting my parents In Las Vegas, my husband likes to try all the different buffets.  This weekend I wanted to try something different, and I'm glad we did.  Their slogan "Twisted Farm Food" encapsulates the menu pretty well.

We went to HH for breakfast around 10:30 on Sunday morning and sat down immediately.  Lucky timing -- because when we left about an hour later the line was huge.  Much like the huge portions of food we were served.  My husband had one of the Sunday Specials -- a giant skillet with pork tenderloin, home fried potatoes, green beans, corn, sun dried tomatoes, mozzarella, 2 fried eggs and a huge biscuit.  I had a scramble that consisted of salmon, pesto and brie that was also served with home fries and huge biscuit.  We switched plates half way through and still brought home a (you guessed it) HUGE box of leftovers.

My husband liked the very strong coffee that was refilled often.  I liked the homemade blackberry jam atop the biscuits.  The food was good, but needed a bit more salt then we're used to adding.  The service was top notch, especially considering how busy the place was the entire time.  And the music was all 80s alternative which made my meal that much more enjoyable :)

This is my first 3 star review.  I feel all dirty inside.  So, let  me toss the pro and cons right at ya!!!

I've dined at Hash House many time's.  Mostly because I have lot's of friends who come to town for short visits and don't wanna go to a casino. It does have a nice atmosphere. ( for being a converted Chevy's....yes, it's a converted Chevy's)  One of the most consistent things is the cocktail's. I love me the gin and tonic!!! WHOOO!!!  Especially Bombay Sapphire and Tonic.  Every time I order one at the Hash House, it's perfect. So, Pro 1 is that they have a great bartender.
Pro 2 it's got ATMOS.

Now for the crap fest.....at first appearance their giant plate with a branch of Rosemary ( I'm pretty sure it's Rosemary ) sticking right out of the top is AWESOME, however, for the most part a plate of bland potatoes.  Any restaurant that has a beautiful steak on the menu, then covers it in tasteless gravy and buries it in mushed potatoes....needs to go back to the drawing board.   I'm not sure where i read it, but a true test of an great restaurant is how they serve a steak.  Sad part is the beef was fantastic, cooked just the way i wanted it....but, covered in crap and under seasoned.  Booo!

In closing....they got personality.  And most people say a great breakfast menu too.  (GIANT PANCAKES, cute)  I've had breakfast there.....packed with people, had a salmon scramble....dry and way fishy, ick!  It was accompanied by a swell mimosa.....so they got the liquor part in spades.  Take a chance and feel their vibe, but when you choose what to eat, be really friggin picky!!!!

Ew.

I mean, ew.

It's adorable, in a prefab sort of way. And the servers are cute, sassy, and sharp. And the stuff on the menu sounds good. But damn, the ugly pile of slop they served me was nauseating.

I mean, the individual parts tasted good enough, but it was so unappetizing and enormous, it really did put me off my food. (And trust me, I have no problem with over the top food... but this was just gross.)

Supposedly a "benedict", my brunch included a giant pile of mashed potatoes, two enormous biscuits, 4 slices of bacon, at least 3 scrambled eggs, a melted-crisp slice of mozzerella, and chipotle hollandaise. Oh, and a couple pieces of fruit, so you could eat healthy. When the waiter saw the look on my face, he said "Isn't it great?" Uh, no. No, actually. And, no.

My mom's brunch was a little less jumbo: meatloaf hash, fried eggs, and a biscuit, served in a full-size cast-iron skillet. It could have fed us both, amply, with leftovers. It was huge, but not disgustingly so.

Great concept, heartland food in a hip setting. But a truly nauseating execution.

My first yelp 5 star.  My sister lives in vegas and I go there about once a month.  This is definitely on the itinerary every time I go.  I've never had the same thing twice, and it's all been fantastic.  A word to the wise, the portions are HUGE!  For example, I ordered the banana french toast...my meal could have easily been eaten by four people, each of us getting our fill.  If you come on a Saturday morning, allow plenty of time for the wait!
