Our original wedding ceremony venue had last minute problems which required extensive repairs and several thousand dollars. We already had printed the invitations and sent them out in March. My wife, myself and our parents were apprehensive about our misfortune.

My parents-in-law decided to look around for the closest churches. We contact interim Pastor Gretchen van Utt and it originally seems grim. Generally doing weddings for non-members is not something they do, but we explained our circumstances and they agreed to let us use their church. After meeting with the Pastor in person we were so impressed with the facilities and noticed a lot of congregation was hanging around cleaning (it was a Saturday). They left a good impression on us and were friendly too.

Since we brought in our own officiant and discussed all of the logistics, we had no problem with our May 19, 2007 wedding ceremony. Everything was perfect (see photos).
