I'm only wishing I could review HW as an actual client.
I spent ten minutes IN the store looking at lovelies and the next two hours OUT of the store looking for a rich "potential ex-husband" to buy me something...anything....please!
Ohhhh look there's Van Cleef & Arpels across the street! -

Note to any potential suitor:
If you ever intend on proposing... I would really, really, really love you forever if you got me a Harry Winston ring.
Best time I ever had was going to Harry Winston with my best friend, pretending like we were going to get engaged and looking at all the rings.
And man, talk about customer service -- it really can't be beat. Amazing personal attention (which god, is to be expected if you're spending that much on a ring).
*sigh*
Maybe one day.... -

I have to admit that I felt overwhelmed by the armed security guards to even go inside, but in this case I am going to judge a book by its cover, which to me, was the best part of this store. Waving steel and wonderful original compositions of a very fresh looking exterior made this store the jewel of Rodeo. If you can imagine even having a jewel amongst riches, this store is it.
Like most Yelp reviewers, getting to actually be a client here, must mean in no way can you also have 2000 four dollar sign $$$$ restaurant reviews. -

I walked into Harry Winston expecting to get no service and a bunch of attitude. Instead, the sales staff was actually quite friendly and very willing to help out. Add in the fact that they're knowledgeable about diamonds and you've got yourself a great place to buy jewelry.
The prices at Harry Winston are surprisingly low (they are still higher than your downtown jeweler, but they aren't nearly as outrageous as Tiffany's). Also, if you buy from Harry Winston, you know that you are getting a diamond of the highest quality (i.e., they only sell diamonds f grade or higher). In other words, if you want to take the guesswork out of buying a ring, you might be willing to pay the inflated prices (plus, if you're into brand names, you can say you bought a Harry Winston ring).
Based on my experience, I'd recommend Harry Winston to anyone who is looking for excellence, both in customer service and in the quality of the diamond/ring. -

This place is perfect. It's the happiest place on earth. Their rings really are the best/highest grade I've ever seen. So sparkly and beautiful.
Not only that, the guy who helped me was the nicest guy, most helpful, good energy. I felt comfortable shopping there, not judged like at Cartier (most terrible place to shop ever). HW has exceptional customer service. -

The man is legendary, his jewels are perfection.
Wish I could say that I've made it past the security guards at the front door, but alas, I've only glimpsed the plush seating inside where lovely, rich housewives get to buy their latest bling.
Harry Winston.
Music to my little ears. -

i've actually been to a handful of jewelers in my life. not for me... but for my luxe friends and family. in this case... cousin jerome wanted to find something "nice" for his girlfriend. i groaned and agreed to help him search for the perfect gift. no occasion, just because he loved her. aww. *cough* barf* dry heaves*
i've never had a problem at HW. Tiffany's and Cartier, maybe. whenever i come to HW, i don't get any kind of snobby attitude or miserable staff not giving a crap what their customers are looking for. you can sense that they actually try to fulfill your requests. sometimes jerome never knows what he's looking for. same goes for me, but... when you know you want something- oh, you KNOW. in this case, he came in knowing exactly what he was doing.
our sales associate was on the money. she pulled out the disgustingly -beautiful tennis bracelets for us to drool over. jerome only took 5 minutes to make a decision. he pointed to the skinny diamond bracelet with platinum setting and said, "THAT'S EXACTLY IT!!!" we walked out pretty excited and happy that it didn't take an hour to complete. thank God for that. -

There's a moment in a girl's life when she knows her life will never be the same....mine was when my absolutely incredible boyfriend asked me if I wanted to go to Harry Winston to get my ring finger sized and look at my dream ring...
HOLY SHIT BALLS. I think I almost pissed myself as I said in an oh-so-ladylike tone- "Fucking Yes Please".
I've been obsessing over HW's Micro-Pave Cushion Cut Engagement Ring for the past few months and I was finally going to get the opportunity to have it touch my finger. First off, I spent about an hour obsessing over my outfit, hair, and makeup....girl can't look tore-up for Harry you know?? We parked at the lot on the corner of Little SM & Rodeo and continued to walk down Rodeo to the HW Salon (that's what they call them...they're not jewelry boutiques....they're SALONS...that's some fancy shmancy shit....anyways...). I could feel my legs losing their feeling the closer and closer we got....I mean, I've walked by HW a dozen times....but this time was different....I was actually going to walk in with a purpose...
We walked in and I immediately found my Micro-Pave. A very kind salesman named Raymond asked us if we'd like to see it and I wanted to scream and yell "FUCK YES!!!!"....but instead I just politely nodded my head. I put the ring on and was rendered speechless. Seriously, my boyfriend asked me what I thought and I was convinced I was going to fall over in my chair. It was the most beautiful diamond ring I've ever seen in my life.
Her stats were 2.6-E-VS1...you girls who know about diamonds will know exactly what that means. It was a dream ring...I didn't even want to keep it on for too long because breathing became an impossible task while she was on my finger. My heart hurt....my body hurt....she was the most beautiful....most flawless ring I've ever touched. My boyfriend shooed me away to talk shop with Raymond and I wandered about looking at the other jewelry....but I couldn't stop thinking about that breathtaking Micro Pave. Everyone in the "salon" was very nice...not snooty and rude like most hoity toity places.
It was a wonderful experience....and I hope every girl gets to experience Harry at some point in their life.
Absolutely....completely....utterly....AMAZING. -

This place is insane. The hot and "iced-out" Rodeo ladies love this place. To them it is like mecca. One more reason to become a "sugar daddy" or that monopoly dude with the monocle!

I read a review from someone who said that: "Harry Winston was not as good as Cartier." There is only one thing that I can say to this: "Are you smoking crack?" Whoever thinks that they can get a better engagement ring at Tiffany's, Costco or Bluenile must be crazy. My boyfriend and I were in Canada looking at engagement rings. I found one that I really liked. I showed him and he started to laugh. He proceeded to sit reading the internet on his phone while I looked at the ring. I was upset and proceeded to tell him so. He turned to me and said "Just wait till we go to Harry Winston because you will understand." "How are there rings better I ask?." "You will see he says." A month later I did see and he was not joking. These rings blew anything else that we saw out of the water. They are in an entirely different league than any other stores. You just can't imagine it until you see them. And to the person who said that Harry Winston rings do not sparkle when they are brought into natural light you are crazy too. It is not just the diamond that makes Harry Winston the clear winner. In fact, as far as I am concerned their is no competition for you. Nothing even close. It is the settings that matter most. After looking at a number of engagement rings I realize that getting an engagement ring right is just a math problem (getting the diamond to setting proportion right). You would think that this is an easy problem but I have come to the conclusion where I realize that it is not at all. That is why so many rings look bad after looking at rings at Harry Winston. Harry's gets this math right. Their settings are intricate and classic. They believe in quality over quantity and it shows. You realize that buying something cheaper and getting a ring that is an extra carat bigger is worthless if the setting is not done right. A 1 carat ring from Harry Winston can look a carat bigger because it is done right. The customer service is awesome. The store is amazing and the quality sells itself. Some of the rings are even cheaper than what you find at Tiffany's (which are overly inflated cookie cutter rings). My only words of advice are: "If you are never going to be able to afford it don't even look at them because after you realize that nothing else competes. It is like looking at a beautiful house that you can't afford...just a bad idea." Once you see these rings.............your search for a ring just has this way of coming to an immediate end.

It is very dangerous to even go into the HW. Last time I was here, it was very hard for us to come out with empty handed. As soon as we walked in we were greeted by salesman. As I tried few artwork of HW, they weren't for me. Don't get me wrong, I L-O-V-E any HW jewelry but due to my job and my lifestyle, I can't and would not wear 7 caret diamond earrings. The salesman tried his best to see if they had it in the caret size that I was comfortable with and also informed me that they can custom make it once we were ready to purchase.

visited the store again. superb design, high quality and worldclass workmanship! however, i still think you can get a better deal in the LA jewelry district with 1/2 the budget if you know exactly what you are looking for and take the time research.

I must say that I was pretty disappointed. The jewelry was beautiful, but the place is super dark and once items are pulled out of the well lit cases, the fire of the diamonds fizzle. I was not impressed at all. Go to Cartier instead a few doors down.
