I think this time was more memorable than the last... and yes... I have been to Omaha twice... actually three times in the last 2 or so years... Nuts I know... I actually love Omaha.
Anywho, Harrahs is in Iowa or so I am told and this particular night (last Saturday) I went twice. We thought we were meeting people and there was some miscommunication so after we met up I jumped into another car and headed back to Iowa for some gambling with the boys.
I had a little brush with the law but who hasn't right? Actually the gamin official and I wasn't scared because obviously I know I didn't do anything wrong... apparently a couple people had told this official to come check on me since I seemed too intoxicated to gamble. I was sitting at a table playing blackjack how out of control could I have been? I mean they stopped serving an hour or 2 ago... and I clearly remember the incient which means that I wasn't blacked out. Clearly.
He said, " You, please come here." (pointing his finger at me standing 10 feet behind me) So I get up and trot on over. "Yes?"
Gaming Official: I was told you were too intoxicated to gamble?
Me: (surprised) What!!! Who said that??? (floored)
Gaming Official: Actually there were a couple reports from a couple people.
Me: Can you tell me who said that?
Gaming Official: No Ma'am.
Me. What! Well I'm not too intoxicated! I always act like this.
Gaming Official: Ok then. Carry on.
What else was he going to say???
I sat back down at the table and when it was time to go I had $30 worth of chips... problem is I don't remember how much I put down. Haha. I think $60??? So I didn't do too well.

I drove out to Omaha to see my best friend from Denver this weekend. Yes, I know. It was an 8 hour… Read more »
Harrah's is easy to get to from downtown Omaha (5 minutes), really just over the bridge. Parking is simple. Small casino, comparable to a caribbean casino though on 2 levels. Played dolla slots and blackjack, came away even as usual. You can spend all night on penny slots if you wish, but since I never really lose (and never really end up winning much, either) I can usually have a good time at a casino like this since I know I'm not making a whole friggin weekend out of gaming

Compared, to the nearby Horseshoe, Harrah's is crowded and expensive. Harrah's in general are usually ok, kind of an old standby, but in this area there are better options, so why not try them out.
