First off....the girls and I had a great time during our A/C Harrah's stay-cation.....mostly because of the pool.
With that said, Harrah's did it's best to dampen our 3 day, 2 night stay, by closing the pool early 2 of the 3 days -- 1 day it even closed at 2pm.
Not acceptable !!!
After ordering food at the pool bar, we suddenly found out we had about 1/2 hour to gobble our food and drink down, and the response was -- well, there are signs everywhere.
Not.
If you call one sign 1/2 way turned so you can't see it, signs everywhere, I have a bridge for you.
True that about table minimums suddenly rising if a table gets hot -- we witnessed it at 10am Monday when our $5 went to $10 after our table went from 2 people to 10 people.
On the good side, the Casino People are friendly and helpful, and not as uptight as Vegas -- I was even taught a new game by a Dealer with the blessing of the Pit Boss -- not sure if they would do this on a Sat. Night, but we went Sun - Tues when they were dead.
I can't complain about the room rates, as I did know about the hot deals, and played enough to get 1 night at 1/2 off that rate. I'm looking forward to the packet I'm told I'm to receive with free nights for both both Vegas and A/C as I will be back to both locations.
The food....well, I only ate breakfast and 1 lunch here ( expensive and unimpressive), going to the Borgota for most meals.
The rooms are fine, we were ungraded to a Jr.Suite which was roomy -- and was pleased with the results of the IONIC machine which was placed after my GF complained about the stale smell.
As far as the parking, my only complaint is that you can't use your comp dollars for the valet -- I think that should be changed.
Th
It seems as thought this hotel is taking their cues from the airline industry, offer a low price and then rape the customer with additional fees and charges. First off I have to admit the rooms here are some of the nicest in AC, if you get into the new towers, Nice decor great shower / bathroom big flat panel and the prices are very good Sunday - Thursday, so if you only want to sleep then make sure you check the hot deals link on their website.
Now lets start with the hotel price problems, First you go to their site and search for room prices and get a "Best Rate Gaurentee" logo on the screen, then you stumble on the "hot deals" sectionof their website and find the same room for $20 or more less with the same logo. You try and book through the website and as soon as you hit confirm it loops you back to check for available dates, after 3 attempts at this I call up to book the room, Sorry Sir the Hot Deas prices are only available online....WTF, I would love to book online and did not want to have to sit and call you for 30 minutes!
Then you arrive, Valet Parking is $15 or $10 if you are a gold member, Now the fee's start, internet $12 something, unfortunately the registration site does not tell you there is a fee, then even worse the damn site just does not work so you have to call customer service to ask why it is not letting me register wih my room and name, then spend an additional 30 minutes with customer service on hold... If they simply put the fee on the registration website I would have tethered my cell data plan and never needed to call them to tell them it is not working.
Then I decide I should exercise the next morning, $15 to get a key for the gym...
It really is a shame as this would be a great place, Nice pool, but the fees suck the life out of you here and leave you feeling screwed.

In my opinion, if you are in Atlantic city, the further you are from the beach, the better off you are. I can't stand that beach. So in that aspect, Harrah's is a good option.
The casino is clean, the indoor pool is nice (7am-7pm), the buffet is good, so if I have to party in AC again, I'd come here and stay inside all day. It's pricey and that's the negative side. The cheapest room we found was almost $300 a night.

First I would like to say the overall look and feel of "THE POOL", is beautiful. When you get into it there are several housekeeping issues that need to be addressed... Tile in the pool areas needs cleaning mostly where the tile meets the edge in the pool. Also, the floor slate tilesmust be very dirty.. As soon as a towel hits the lfoor it gets dirty.
The furniture needs help too; several lounge chair seats need to be replaced, as well as the bottoms of several table and chairs that the bamboo is coming apart, some even at the top edges also are in need of repair...
Casino issues...We have been coming there for years and have been very pleased with the variety of machines.. Lately there are lese ans less of the penny machines... even some that were a penny have been made to be 2 cents.. It makes no sence to me that sooooooo many of the machines that are empty are higher, why not add more penny machines like the fish games etc... The other casinos in the Total Reward group have many more interactive games.. Would not like to have to go the others while there seems to be such an easy fix.. Even the new games were put in as 5 cents... and are empty...
The hotel rooms are kind of nice, the gaming is standard for a casino. The layout is maze-like, but is pretty par for a casino. But, it was a customer service issue that absolutely KILLED this place for me. Story begins...NOW!
It was late - 4:45am, Monday 8/2/09 - and I was playing some Blackjack and doing well when I was dealt a blackjack and the dealer had an ace showing. Now, anyone who plays blackjack knows that the dealer - TINA: african american, glasses, poory dyed haircut - is supposed to offer the player even money in this situation. I was waiting for her to ask me, and I was gonna take it, but she didn't. Then, when she turned her card and I said "you didn't offer me even money" she absolutely snapped on me and berated me: "I don't have to offer you nothin', I'm not one of those dealers," etc.
So, you're not one of those dealers? You mean one who does her job? I let it go because, well, I won so it didn't matter, but then when pit boss JOHN PARIS was just standing by the table, I decided to ask him out of curiousity if she's supposed to offer it to me and he said yes, very matter of factly. She then started snapping on me again, saying things like "he was waiting for me to turn the card over," etc. Basically implying that I was cheating or something. Remember, I won the hand, this had nothing to do with money or the cards, it was about customer service. JOHN PARIS basically took her side, I played like two more hands and left, refusing to play with her as my dealer.
As I was walking away I saw another pit boss and thought I'd ask him about the situation out of curiousity. Well, if TINA the dealer and JOHN PARIS the pit boss were bad at customer service, then BOB DELUCE the other pit boss could write a book on how to not treat a customer. I said "excuse me" and before I could say another word he just shut me down "I know what you're gonna ask me about / I don't wanna hear what you have to say," etc, etc.
I mean seriously people, if your job is customer service then you're supposed to make people comfortable at your business. I would have liked to keep playing, and may have lost some money to their casino, but decided to stop. In other words; they lost their casino money because they couldn't just say "yeah, she should've offered you even money, sorry about that." That's all I wanted; acknowledgement and apology. Nothing more. I had one the hand, but had been treated like crap.
There's a million casinos that all offer the same services as this Harrah's, why on earth would I ever choose to spend my money here as opposed to one of the many others after an experience like this? And I like to gamble, somebody, anybody else will be getting my business in the future. Hopefully yours too.

This is strictly about the casino/gambling aspect of Harrah's because I did not stay over.
Harrah's is one of the more beautiful looking casinos in Atlantic City. It beautiful decorations couldn't help hide the fact that there were not that many table games. Casinos in AC usually have more slot machines then tables but there were barely any tables. Even though I went during the week, there were only 3 craps tables and a few roulette tables. only of the roulette tables were $10 min, so that table was pretty packed. As for poker, I did not see much variety.
Parking was $5. I did not understand why non-members and gold members had the same parking fee. Perhaps, the parking price could change on the weekend for non members.
If you plan on eating at the buffet, you should pay as soon as you arrive. I did not do that, so I was told this at 5pm... "Gold members can be seated at the waterfront buffet at 9:30 pm." I was starving at that time so i just went to one of the other less crowded food places.
Harrah's is deserving a second chance for a higher rating but for someone who wants to gamble at the tables, this might not be the best casino.

If you play poker or are marrying someone who does ... this is a great spot, especially for AC.
As mentioned in the other reviews, the poker room is super nice and the dealers are great. It's away from the floor so you don't have to listen to slot machines all night long.
The building itself is beautiful, I feel compared to some other places in AC and Vegas, Harrah's is much classier looking (ie: not cheesy or Disney-y).
I thought the table games out on the floor were a little steep. A $25 minimum bet keeps me away, I'm not a big gambler... but others didn't seem to mind. We'd definitely come back... but I'm bringing a bathing suit to hang out by the pool!

I like to think of myself as a Harrah's veteran.
I have no idea how many times I've actually visited Atlantic City.
Once I turned 21, you couldn't keep me outta there.
My broke butt can't really afford too many big vacations ...
and Harrah's has been the solution to my problem.
In my opinion, Harrah's and their 3 affiliated casinos are loose with the room comps.
Once every month or two my boyfriend and I book 3 - 4 nights at Harrah's, pay $13 a night in rooms taxes (CHEAP!!), gamble, eat some good food, use their amazing pool and enjoy Atlantic City. My advice is:
-When checking in, avoid the Harbor Tower. It's their oldest tower, and compared to their newer rooms, is really just subpar. Ask instead if you can have a room that's "close to the pool". (That means Waterfront or Bayview Tower)
-When checking in, instead of asking for an "upgrade", which they usually flat out refuse, ask if you can have a room in the Atrium Tower. Those rooms have a separate sitting room with an additional flat screen TV.
-Don't bother coming here if you have no interest in the pool. It's their main attraction, and the biggest amenity they offer guests!
-Don't miss the sundeck either! It's BEAUTIFUL.
-If you're big into table games, Harrah's isn't for you. They never have all their pits open and there isn't as much variety as you'd like.
To get your comps, and your $13/night room rate, you don't have to play like crazy, but you do have to play a little something! Not nearly as much as you'd think, and def. nowhere near the amount that they're charging everybody else with their crazy regular room rates.

You have to try the New York Deli right off the casino at Harrahs. They serve the best corn beef sandwich in the world. I have stayed at Harrahs on several occasions and have always enjoyed my stay and had fantastic meals, the new waterfront buffet is clearly the best in town. The only thing they need now is a noodle bar, how bout it Harrahs?

We asked for a nonsmoking room and it smelled as if someone had bathed the carpets in nicotine. Yum. So we complained and their solution? To bring up this little box that was supposed to get the smell out. Instead, our room ended up smelling like fish. The bathroom, however, was quite lovely, and that is where I spend most of my time primping so whateves. They really should have given us a new room.
In terms of the Casino, I've been to better.

Go anywhere in Atlantic City--no matter what hotel you stay at and keep Pamela employed! Bias over the hotel does not give me any bias to the food though. I went to the Harrah's steakhouse inside of Harrah's Atlantic City and even though a vegetarian I enjoyed myself. I ordered a salad (nothing special), green beans (a side plate cost 18.00 but was literally like 3lbs worth of green beans), and the kicker--this was in October--dessert was pumpkin crème Brule, but it was served in a minature pumpkin. What can I say that alone makes me want to go back there.
In terms of the rooms, I do have to say that Harrah's does renovate frequently and that they have a Red Door Spa as well as an atrium, and a large pool area. They also have a shuttle to take you between Harrah's, Caesar's, Bally's, and Showboat.

Harrah's is one of the many AC hotels that has renovated its property and made their establishments enjoyable to visit again.
AC was crumbling for awhile and then Borgata came to town. That was the shot that the city needed. Harrah's has a great casino floor and an amazing temperature controlled pool area. It is simply beautiful.
The rooms have also been updated and they have plenty to do for the non gambler like "Fridays After Dark" by the pool area with a live dj and plenty of drinks to lush it up all night long.
For dining they have McCormick & Schmick's Seafood Restaurant, The Steakhouse and Waterfront Buffet.
Remember to sign up for a Harrah's car, so that when you play they can later mail you complimentary nights and other goodies.

I have completely changed my opinion of Atlantic City thanks to the newly Renovated Harrah's.
The Pool is as good as a pool gets. Thanks to the big dome, I felt as though I was outside, without freezing. It had a real Vegas feeling while lounging around the pool drinking beers with my friends.
I had a FANTASTIC meatball sub at the sandwich shop right outside the pool area before starting out the evening. Wonderful bread, and fantastic meatballs. Great casino with very friendly dealers. They are very personable and make gambling fun.
I had a room in the Waterview tower which is very nice. Beautiful bathroom, comfortable bed. TV was plasma, but I think it was like 120 dpi I'm used to a 1080p television and this looked like the faces were scrambled to protect the innocent.
I wouldn't pay extra to get a water view. It's Atlantic City, not Bora Bora. Let's be serious.
The self parking is cheap at $5, however it is a long walk from check-in. Not a big deal, just a little annoying.
Great hotel, I'll stay there again if I go to AC.

I HAD to stay at this hotel for 6 nights. Even with a discount the rooms are pretty expensive - my room was over $1100. You also get to pay $12.95 a day for wireless internet and $5 each time you leave the parking garage.
I did not get a room in the new tower so I ended up with an older room that had a tiny TV.
The self parking garage is a really long way from hotel check in. You ended up having to walk through the whole casino with all your stuff to check in.
I also ended up having some boxes shipped to me and the front desk told me that the conceriage would call me when they arrived. I finally got confirmation via email so I called down inquired about my stuff. They said the bell hop had it (ok..thanks for telling me). When I went to the bell hope the guy working yelled at me to follow him into back room. He pointed to about 50 fed-ex boxes across the room and told me to find my stuff - Thanks for all your help!
Since it is a casino - the cash machines charge you $5 anytime you take money out. I did go into town and found a bofa so I could get some money without a fee.
I was not a fan of the food at all. In the cafe they thought I was crazy by asking if they had soy milk. I also ordered a salad at the deli and ending up with a plate of wilted lettuce.
Next time I go back I think i will try to find a Holiday Inn and save my money..

Fortunately I have experienced different properties in the Atlantic City Area. Some certainly could use a totally renovation while others obviously are in better financial shape. Harrah's is one of the better properties.
I stayed in the Bay tower in one of the Premium Rooms. The room was spacious and well appointed. The Bathroom was large and had a separate hopper area. The walk in Shower Stall was large and the water pressure was acceptable. The only suggestion I can make is that the lighting could be a bit brighter.
The room itself was very nice. The TV was a large flat screen. The Air conditioner was digital and easy to adjust.
There also is a small refrigerator to chill anything you wish which was a nice touch.
The pool was terrific. No kids permitted in the Pool area as the kids have a separate fun center and their own pool GREAT idea! The pool has a bar and food area plus cabanas in which could be rented.
The Jacuzzi are wonderfully warm and the pool is also kept at a very comfortable temperature.
All in all a very impressive visit.
My favorite things about this place:
You need ID to get into The Pool because there's a bar and no kids allowed!
Sundeck roof
Drink specials at 11am!
Express checkout which obviously the people on the long line didn't know about. By the elevator, there's little envelopes and pencils where you fill out your name, depature date, signature, and put your room keys in. and Voila!!! you can be out!

On my last visit there was only one craps table open and that was a $25.00 limit. Sadly they beg you to come and give out all kinds of comps but then pull something like this.
AC might as well say goodbye to customers. Delaware just legalized sports betting and table games.

two years in a row i have gone to atlantic city and stayed at harrahs's resort and casino and two years in a row i have not been disappointed. i have never been to vegas and i dont think i could handle actually, mainly due to the fact the AC wants to make my head explode with so much brain overload taking place. Between the slots and the women and the tables and the free drinks...a mans brain can only handle so much. the selection of restaurants and eateries they have is pretty good. they have a McCormick's and kick ass buffet, a lower key breakfast and lunch spot and couple of bars here and there spread through out the casino.
The rooms were fantastic i was in the newly opened tower and the beds were like sleeping on a cloud and the flat screen tv was also a plus.
The pool is indoors and by day is a tropicaly setting as the pictures show. cabanas and hot tubs to relax in and a full stocked bar that is decently priced for a hotel bar. But the pool closes early and at 10pm opens back up to become THE POOL, a crazy ass night club where the hot tubs and cabanas are rented out for bottle service and the pool is open to swimmers...but dont try to go in with your street clothes on the life will get you outta there faster than you got in...i only feel bad for the people who arrive on sunday for the first time at this casino and go to the pool, not having the slightest idea that saturday night had just happened there...
the eden lounge also awesome more of an older crowd... if you are down with cougar hunting grab your net and have at it. they have house band that plays until 3:30 am and will rock your face off! Covering all types of music, by far my favorite hot spot of the casino.
One more thing...if you dont know where Harrah's is on the skyline...look to the left as you are driving in, its the one that the side of the building is a huge LED that has dice and logos and stars all over it...MIND BLOWING
enjoy

if you like crab cakes then don't miss the buccaneer burgers in reflections grill. These are the best crab cakes in the world. They use snow crab, which has a more delicate flavor than the usual blue claw normally used. They saut the cakes in butter and serve then on a roll with onion, lettuce, tomato and Russian dressing. Outstanding!
BTW - the pool at harrahs AC is not to be missed - awesome!

I'm not really big on gambling..I'd rather use that $10 I'd lose in a slot machine to go shopping, so I don't have much to say about the casino floor. I stayed in the hotel after Harrah's had been newly renovated. Our room was very nice. The bed was comfy, the room was clean, the bathroom was clean, and it was affordable - no complaints there! It's a bit far from the boardwalk, but we took advantage of the shuttle service (free to hotel guests) to drop us off at Caesars so we could wander around the pier. I only live 25 mins away from Atlantic City, but it's nice to stay over every now and then, I'll definitely go back to Harrah's and this time I need to try their buffet, I hear it's pretty good!
Came here on a last minute trip along with 12 others from NYC. Got lucky and found rooms at the beginning of the week for $100 for a Friday night.
Depart Port Authority at 7pm and 2.5 painless and traffic-less hours later, arrive at Harrah's. Checked in, cleaned up, pre-gamed a little and then headed downstairs.
We first went to "The Pool" which is Harrah's club. It's actually a great club with a large pool in the middle, and smaller jacuzzi's around the edges. About 20+ cabana's provide semi-private seating for you and your friends where you can order bottle service. Unfortunately, it was dead for Friday so we only had 1 drink and then went to the casino to hit the tables.
I stayed on the roulette table for a few hours and was up. My nice dealer gave me a comp and I took my slightly buzzed self to Reflections Cafe when I pigged out on NY Sirloin at 4am.
Made my way back up to my room and crashed. The beds feel like you are sleeping on giant pillows. Several giant pillows.
Will definitely go back.

We flew out from Colorado for a wine and food party and had a great time.
Problem: That's where it ended. As a traveler for business and leisure, I hold hotels
that charges this rack rate with higher standard. Let's keep it simple;
Hotel staff: Average. Accommodating: below average. Room cleanliness: Good. I liken hotels to
the Insurance industry, they are good at collecting your money, but if you need them to
Fix a problem forget about it. Oh yah, don't think of going to bed before 4am if you stay at the
new towers. And good luck.
I don't go to Harrah's AC much, and when I do I never know how I feel about the place. The poker area is very nice, since its set off in the back of the casino so there isn't the slot machine noise that disrupts play. Even better, you can order food at the tables! This is great, and only a few other AC casinos allow food in the poker areas (see Showboat). However, the floor people are kind of blah (although the dealers are nice and quick), and the casinos have all started raking the tournament prize pool in addition to the flat fee. So if you have a $68+$12 tournament, the casino automatically gets the $12, and they also get about 10% of the prize pool off the top. Its kind of a rip off, but Harrah's does have the cheapest tournaments in AC generally. The rest of the casino is just average, nothing special, and a generally older crowd. I hear The Pool is a hip place, but I've never been. I'd come back, but there are better places in AC.

I'm not much of a gambler, but if I were ever in AC for business or for pleasure, I'd either go here or to Caesar's. Harrah's is at the far end of AC, so you're not going to have to deal with much of the foot traffic that the other casinos get. Drinks are pretty good, and it's never totally packed.
The verdict: I always find Harrah's to be my first bet when in AC. It's not as famous as the Trump Casinos, but the service has always been good, and it's not insanely crowded.

3.5 True Rating
3.0 Rooms
4.5 Pool
4.5 Sun Deck
5.5 Drink Amenities for gamblers & date
5.0 Transportation (for guest only) Cesar's, Showboat, Balley's, Harrah's every 15 minutes until 2:00AM.
2.0 Food Service 2
2.5 Food Variety 2
1.5 Breakfast (Possibly the worst breakfast I have ever had.)
N/A I did not try the buffet that every1 raves about.
I was not impressed with the selection of restaurants. There is a deli, an expensive Italian restaurant, Buffet, Cafe, restaurant, Coffee joint and bandstand.
I booked a reservation for the Marina Tower however on arrival they put us in the Harbor Tower which is the least desire able destination; farthest from pool and front desk. Upon arrival in the room we found it more than acceptable, so we decided to stay.
Bed was comfortable. However I could hear every little thing through the walls at night. Flushing of the toilet sounded like a jet engine in the distance.
The gambling amenities are great. They provide full bottles of Heineken, Corona, etc. and stiff drinks. Become dear friends to the wait tresses (with a nice tip) and you will be served well.
The new pool is smaller than it looks in photos. However it is nice none the less. There are 8 hot tubs of varying sizes surround the pool and a sun deck on the roof. The drinks are stiff and expectantly expensive. Unlike Vegas you will find yourself hanging around the pool with elders 60+ years of age.
If your single looking for a good time then you better look somewhere else.

I went here today, Saturday, after playing at the Tropicana for a while. After paying $5.00 to self park at the Trop., and refusing to pay $10.00 at a Trump hotel, I was relieved that self parking was free here. It's free with your comp card which everyone usually gets. I'm not cheap, but if I'm willing to lose/spend a lot of money at your casino, parking should be free. I liked this casino better because it was less crowded and less trashy like others near the boardwalk. I would suggest this casino over others if you want to gamble on a weekend in Atlantic City.

Hopefully somebody high up at Harrah's will read these reviews and do something about it. Usually a Borgata guy but they were sold out and so Harrahs gave me a two night comp. First off I haven't been there in YEARS. They finished their remodel 2 yrs ago and I must admit it is Badass! The 21+ pool is like a Vegas style pool but indoors. Tropical theme. You can rent cabanas and hot tubs. Nice little bar and the waitress' are all in bikinis. Now the gaming is a little different. I literally walked around the casino on a 70 degree Thurs night and couldn't get on a table!!! They don't have many tables to begin with but it almost seemed they were severely shortstaffed or something. 1 $25 table. 8 $15 tables max. OPEN ANOTHER FRIGGIN PIT!!! When I did sit down at the $15 table b/c it was the only spot open, I have a BJ virgin who looks down at his chart on EVERY hand. Then he doesn't hit his 15 against dealer King which would have saved everyone on the table.(myself alone $250). The rooms were decent. We were in the harbour tower which is one of the original towers. Would like to check out the new wing though. Steakhouse was good. Not overpriced with a nice wine selection. Will definately come back however will probably run across the street to Borgata so they can take my $$ instead until Harrahs is properly staffed!!!!
I think I need to face facts. I'm only happy if I'm staying at the Borgata. Harrah's was....ok. And compared to a lot of the other hotels in town, I know it's one of the better ones. I'll break it down by the good, and not so good:
Pros
- Stayed in one of the new towers, specifically the Water Tower. So the room was nice and new (but see the con below).
- Super, comfy beds.
- Express check out.
- The pool was nice, though I didn't hang out there. Supposedly a happening place to be on weekend nights.
Cons
- The room could have been cleaner.
- If you "self park," be prepared to walk FOREVER to get to the lobby to check in, schleping your bags through the entire casino.
- The casino has low ceilings and is DARK. I'm not a die hard gambler so I notice this stuff. If you're a gambler, you probably won't care.
- The whole casino reeks of cigarettes, even the non-smoking areas.
- They wouldn't give us a late check out! I have NEVER been denied a late check out. My assumption is we were denied because we didn't have one of their "Total Rewards" cards. Even though my friend was in their casino losing her pay check until 5 in the morning, still no late check out. In fact for that, I'm moving them to two stars.
- Weak restaurants that do not serve late. Hello!!! AC is 24 hours a day baby, don't you want to feed us so we spend our money alllll night?????
- $4 for a small tube of toothpaste. 'Nuff said.

I love this hotel. My Family and I always go here. Got the the best slots and eateries there. The rooms are awesome.
I had a blast here. This place is amazing! The hospitality service is EXCELLENT. The rooms are clean and spacious. I'm not a gambler, so it was plenty of other things to do while staying. It has a lot of shopping stores, and a lot of dining. "The Red Door Spa" is located on the premises, so you know what that means, "LADIES & GENTLEMEN IF YOU LIKE TO GET PAMPERED, FROM HEAD-TO-TOE, then go ahead, they'll do it for you." We had a little tag along with us, so we really couldn't go to the amazing pool that's for 21 yrs + but they have a "Family Fun Center", where there is an arcade and a indoor pool, very fun for children! And I can admit.... adults too... lol... "The Waterfront Buffet" OMGoodness....... any and every kind of food is there. If your not saying the night in the hotel, or don't live close by, then don't go! I say this because, you would just want to eat, eat, eat, until you can't eat anymore. And I'm pretty sure no ones driving or traveling on a full stomach, that's what you'll surely be after you eat here. The food is very good, the personal chefs would prepare your meat, pasta, or whatever else to your liking, without a problem! They also have a "McCormick & Shmicks". I can't wait to go back!
One knock Harrah's in AC might get is its location as its further away from most of the other boardwalk casinos, but with its amenities, friendly service, and decent casino floor, it embodies the best of what AC has to offer. Having stayed here many times, some of the best this place has to offer is the Diamond Lounge and its great rooms. Their buffet is so-so, only good if you're super hungry. If you're not a player who receives complimentary offers, the prices here are still consistently among the lowest in AC for their rooms.

Come here for their buffet, it's the latest one that came out in late 2006 or early 2007, I forgot... But they've got a good selection. Would I actually stay here? I doubt it since I'd like to be by the water and board walk. If you're a gambler and want to sit the whole day in front of a one armed bandit, go ahead and enjoy here! To get here from the strip, take the #2 Jitney, costs about 2 bucks.
The casino in general: 2 stars
The Pool complex: 4.5 stars
I'm not really a gambler. Slots bore me, I find the tables funner, but still...no real urge to gamble. I go to casinos mainly to drink, club, dine & people-watch. And have an excuse to dress up. I love dressing up fun & sparkly.
Harrah's was not the place for me. I went to hit up a party going down in their indoor pool complex...but it got postponed by 2 hours so we were left to mosey about the casino. The shops there blew, the decor not so great, the places to eat even less great...and as for the crowd, well...I was feeling pretty pretty pretty young (I even saw EMTs running by with a stretcher). I was wearing a sequin mini-dress...now, even in Borgata I feel like the way I dress may be a bit over-the-top, but I don't care. Here in Harrah's however I felt outrageously out of place. Oops, guess I forgot my mom jeans & gut at home.
So, finally we make it into the pool.
This pool. Is. Fabulous.
Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful. I will without a doubt be making return trip to this pool. A-mazing. The space is a large circular glass-covered dome, with a good-sized pool in the center & around that are palm trees & frondy plants, cabanas, jacuzzis & a gorgeous bar.
I've never been to Miami, but this felt like what I would imagine down there. It was lush & colorful & I think fantastically designed. It was outlandish not not gaudy in my opinion. The cabanas (which can be rented out for a fee) are luxuriously appointed with cozy seats, iPod docks & a plasma screen TV. You can also rent out private jacuzzis...for another fee. ;)
My one complaint is that the somewhat rough stone floor, which looks nice & apropos it the environment, is IMPOSSIBLE to dance on in pumps. Forget it. You will kill your feet. Heed my warning, ladies!!
Oh wait I have another frivolous complaint. If you want champagne you have to get a table/cabana/jacuzzi & buy a bottle of it. Nope, you can't just buy a class of champagne or a champagne cocktail (my drink of choice, of course) which really disappointed me. Life goes on, I suppose.
