10 reviews for Harlem Apple Store
David has worked on two of my machines. He is quick and extremely dedicated to providing good service.
David is the only guy i let work on my Apple.
We may at some point want to consider cloning him.
Somebody stepped on my macbook a while ago and broke the screen and the superdrive. I went to the Apple Store to see the cost of repair; they said it would be $700 for the screen (didn't even want to ask about the superdrive after that). I searched the net for cheaper repair alternatives, and someone suggested the Harlem Apple Store to me, so I looked them up too. I saw great reviews, so I went to Dave. He charged me $225 for the screen repair and $100 to replace the superdrive (no extra labor cost - awesome). What's even better is that I got it back the next day, and it was a great repair.
Long story short, if you want a good, low-cost and speedy repair, just go to Dave at the HAS.
Ive been dealing with Dave & the Harlem Apple store for about 4yrs. They are the only people I let work on any of my macs.the service is incredible and the prices are great!. them other mac service guys will rob you blind!! if I have any questions or problems with my mac i can call and get assistance. I guess it pays being a yelper: after my review, I was contacted by the owner of the Harlem Apple Store. Twice. He was kind enough to issue, on July 30, a receipt for the job he performed on my computer on February 2. The receipt came with a 3 month warranty. Ironically, the warranty expired almost two months before the receipt was issued.

There's nothing worse than owning a new lap top, not buying a protection plan and having the machine conk out on you within the first year. David replaced my hard drive for less than half of what the Apple Store and Tech Serve both quoted me for. I now have a laptop again!
David, bad back and all saved my life yesterday.
My PowerBook took a dive and went dead, so I ended up going out to buy a MacBook-problem is, all my work documents, photos and music were on the old hard drive. Apple wanted $200 and couldn't guarantee that they could recover the data. I went to the Harlem Apple Store, and within a half hour had all the data on my hard drive.
This guy is the truth. I had considered buying AppleCare but after this, I'll probably just go to him. Great service!
This man is a god!! Forget "reasonable", his prices are absolute rock bottom!! Best in the city by far (and trust me, did I shop around)!! Replaced my macbook's dead hard drive, installed it and the OS for PENNIES in comparison, and did it in just about an hour! If I ever have another issue with my mac, this is where I'm going!!
I've used David for mac repair over the last few months. He's revived a dead powerbook, replaced a screen on an ibook, and replaced the hard drive on my black macbook. He's fast, good, and very reasonably priced. I look forward to returning to him with my future macintosh repair needs! I happily recommend him to all my friends and family members.
David is extremely knowledgeable and a pleasure to do business with. His prices are reasonable and his work is very thorough. Its so nice to have someone come to your home rather than having tho schlepp your computer to a repair shop and then wait a week to get it back. Highly recommended!
I ran into trouble the other day when trying to install a replacement hardrive into an ibook g4 (not an easy task). I unfortunately broke a vital piece of hardware while dismantling the laptop. The mistake would have cost me $200-$400 to replace the motherboard but David came to the rescue. He soldered the piece back onto the laptop and literally saved me hundreds of dollars and hours of work had I chosen to replace the motherboard. I only know one other person in NYC who knows as much about Apple products as David does. Thanks again David.
