I am not a tourist, no matter WHAT city I am in. I am not a tourist...but my 10 year old cousin just started playing the electric guitar, so when he saw the Hard Rock Cafe, we "HAD" to eat there.

We walked in around 11:15 on President's Day and the place looked relatively empty, yet they said it would be a 10 minute wait. Hm? We ended up waiting about 25 minutes, but I guess I expected that.

We were greeted quickly by a friendly girl named Alex. She was perky and exactly what you'd expect at a Hard Rock. She took our drink orders and returned pretty quickly.

The menu was actually pretty extensive and offered some healthier options, which I was happy about. I chose the veggie burger with side salad, my uncle got the chicken club, and my cousin got the kid's cheeseburger (he REALLY wanted the 8 oz burger, he doesn't "need to order off the kid's menu," but my uncle prevailed).

We waited a bit too long for our food, but when it came out, I was honestly extremely surprised. The veggie burger was the BEST I've ever tasted. It came with grilled zucchini and squash on top, and it was the size of an actual 8 oz slab of meat. It was extremely flavorful without being too spicy, and tasted healthy, without having too many large chunks of  vegetables in it.

The side salad was less than impressive...chopped up browning romaine and croutons. Oh well. They also forgot the mayo on mine and my uncle's sandwiches. Minor points loss.

Oh, and I stole a couple fries from my cousin...they were VERY good and potentially even worth the extra calories.

So, overall...though the service could have been just a bit better (we actually found out it was only her 3rd day), and the wait was annoying, this location actually gets my thumbs up.

HRC is right on the Harbor for all your sight seeing pleasure.  The place is very busy and usually there is a 45 mins - 1 hour wait time.

My food was brought out quickly but I had to wait for the drinks and for service as the server had at least five to seven tables.  Overall great place, great food and great atmosphere.
