Oh my, what a good experience I had here! First of all, Bar Harbor is gorgeous. The people are friendly, the area is well-maintained and manicured, the town is environmentally conscious, and there are several beautiful parks to relax in, among the myriad other recreational activities.
The Harborside Hotel combines sumptuousness with astoundingly good service. The rooms are just the right side, featuring gorgeous views of Bar Harbor and the pool area. The hotel restaurant has great breakfast, although people should check out the many good restaurants in the town. The pool area is just gorgeous, with padded beach chairs, bar service, and a hot tub. The concierge and check-in workers are also extremely helpful and courteous, and they must've told me "Welcome to the Harborside!" about 10 times.
If you're looking for a place to stay in a beautiful, clean ME town with plenty to do, then this place is perfect! I'll definitely be back!
"Raising the Bar in Bar Harbor" This is a beautiful hotel in just the best location in Bar Harbor. Right on the water and in town, it boasts an excellent restaurant on-site (and subsequently room service).. The views are just stunning in the ocean view rooms. Our 3-BR suite had a jacuzzi on the balcony, a dining room and fireplace in the master bedroom, galley kitchen, and the finest appointments including marble bathrooms and cushy furniture in each room. The staff was excellent - efficient and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel and restaurant. Although it was chilly in October during our stay, the property does have a gorgeous outdoor pool and heated jacuzzi, and even in October the colorful hydrangeas were still in bloom. Just gorgeous. The restaurant is authentic Italian, with oh-my-word-so-scrumptious Tiramisu and Cannolis, Chicken Saltimbocca, Rustic wood-fired pizzas, amazing wild blueberry pancakes, and be still my heart Lobster Eggs Benedict that were just a mouthful of heaven. I love the Harborside.
I can never say too many good things about this hotel. I have stayed here on 2 occasions and it is always consistent. A better location is close to impossible. Right on the water, near the main street of shops and restaurants, a grocery store right down the street. The views from the pool/hot tub deck are amazing. I would not not miss out getting a room without at least a partial view. Seeing the morning fog roll off the water, exposing the islands is spectacular.
The customer service here is just as good. Always happy yo help with making sure your stay is perfect. From suggesting places to go, helping with reservations, or just the extra friendly greetings that make you feel like you're a special guest.
Bar Harbor is an amazing experience, but this place just tops it all off.
Love it here! Beautiful new-ish hotel... Excellent location- you can walk to everything! They've even made improvements from my visit a few years ago to the visit in June... new Italian restaurant in the hotel, but we didn't get to try it out (ran out of time), beautiful pool, etc.
Staff is very friendly too!
Amazing food and great service. Pretty authentic thin Italian pizza that was simple and delicious. Our party of 9 people all had good food.
A lovely hotel. Nice staff, guest room, amazing bathroom, beautiful, super-flowery pool area AND a very good meal in, gasp, the on site italian restaurant. No, really, the food was great. Even my poolside mojito did not disappoint. Would stay here again, for sure!

Love this hotel. The staffs are very friendly and the room is extremely comfy. My room also comes with a balcony and it's perfect for a night cocktail or just hang out. There's also a little italian restaurant in the hotel. I was surprised by the quality of food served there because I kinda expected some not-so-good food from the hotel-restaurant and I was wrong. The service was great as well. highly recommended!
