They say you can tell a lot about a person from their hands. In this instance, you could tell that I had not visited a salon in a while, I clearly use my hands for work and that I'm more about function than appearance (at least for my hands).

I needed a manicure and a pedicure BADLY. I had looked on Yelp for a new place to try out and Happy Hands & Hair ended up being the winner due to it's great reviews, it helps that it's really close to me as well.

Happy Hands & Hair is located in a huge lot and there so much parking, it's ridiculous. You will not have trouble at all. This salon does hair as well but I only took advantage of their nail services for this visit.

The interior is smaller but feels spacious and has cute decor. They offer coffee (keurig machine!), tea, water... Today they had girl scout cookies in jars to offer for treats. Yum!

My appointment was with Jessie, who is very fun, sweet and considerate. Several times, she asked me if I was okay while she was cutting away at my gnarly cuticles and made sure to ask me what temperature I wanted my water for my pedicure. The pedicure was fantastic. It was so relaxing and she transformed my feet into these soft, beautiful painted pieces of art - No dry spots and calluses, my toenails are filed and the color is spicy! She also gave me this amazing salt scrub on my feet that accounts for the softness of my skin and the relaxation I feel. Totally worth it. She also noticed a freckle/mole I have on the bottom of my feet and pointed it out to me, asking me if I have had it checked out... I think that was very considerate.

For the gel manicure, I wanted a black french tip with a light pink base and even though my nails are short, it looks great! I am very happy with it, although she said if I was not, I could always change it, which I was thought was nice considering gel is a longer application time... My appointment was 2 hours but it flew by so fast because of the great conversation with Jessie. I would definitely come back here again when I want to get another gel manicure.

Spicy red pedicure and classic gel French tip manicure, great work!

I don't know what people are talking about saying Sandy does not provide good customer service, that's completely false because I think she's great at what she does and she's super friendly. She calls and confirms a day before to confirm your appointment, she was pretty flexible on me rescheduling my appointments a few times she's great. I recently came here to get a gelish manicure, honestly I never knew Happy Hands existed in this location it's kinda hidden. Either way I walked in and I was totally impressed, the atmosphere was really nice and clean, not your typical nail salon. They also have a hair salon too. :) You can totally tell that this salon makes you feel like family and they have their regulars.
Overall I'm really happy with my gelish manicure, great color and it looks great. I also got a pedicure by Monika, she was really good too, the chairs were comfortable. Monika did an awesome job on my pedicure. However though I probably wouldn't come back for a pedicure as it is a lil pricey $25, I can get a pedicure plus callus remover for a lil cheaper.

Overall I'm really happy with the services provided and will return to Sandy for my gelish manicures. Thank you. :)

BTW this place fills up fast, each lady working weren't just sitting around waiting for customers they were back to back on appointments so make sure you make an appointment in advanced. :

Oh and I even added a picture of my gelish manicure.

I knew I would fall in love with the place once I spoke to Diane on the phone! She was so cheerful and nice that I couldn't wait to get my mani/pedi! I had my nails done by Monica and she was super nice and we bonded over our conversation of good food. What sets this place apart is that they take the time to know you and do your nails and feet. When it was done I couldn't believe how pretty my nails were!

The shop itself is super cute, spacious, and very welcoming. Coffee and treats while you wait, friendly staff, what more could a girl ask for? I got a very nice deal for my mani/pedi as a first time customer, I will def be back!

Had a gel mani and pedicure not too long ago here by Jessie. It was with a Groupon and supposed to be with someone named Sandy (who I called 2 or 3x with no returned phone call). I felt pampered with Jessie. My gel manicure looks great and she really did a great job on my feet for the pedicure. Only thing was, it's not the kind of spa pedicure I am used to with massage chairs :(

While everything she did was great, I'm just used to a longer massage and having a massage chair. Her regular price is $10 bucks more than my usual spa pedicure place. If the price was lower I would consider making this my go to place. No credit card! Had a hard time getting someone to break a large bill and when I did, I didn't have enough to give her the tip I intended (sorry!).

The manicure and pedicure itself 4 out of 5 stars (would be 5 if they had traditional spa chairs).
Customer service 2 (no credit cards, not enough bills, no returned phone calls).

Great place but I will stick to a cheaper spa.

Sick of painting my nails every three days, I was desperately in need of a gel manicure. Two weeks - no chips? How can a girl resist? I found Happy Hands on yelp and was intrigued. I made an appointment (highly recommended) and was schedule an appointment with Sharon.

The salon is cute and very clean. You can tell this place has alot of regulars. Sharon was very sweet and went to work quickly on my paws. Sharon manicured my nails like a pro. No cuts or pain here - nor do you get wacked with a nail file when she needs you to move your hand. The color selection was extensive and Sharon helped me pick out a color that is relative to my drag queen tendancies (Carnival Hangover? Yes please!).

I was so impressed by this salon, I made an appointment for two weeks. I have no loyalty what-so-ever to nail salons - thanks Happy Hands for changing my view. You've pinned this wild nail girl down.

      Tips:
      Bring cash
Make an appointment - well worth the "for sure" that you can be seen

I came here based on the glowing reviews, but was kind of disappointed. Mary waxed my eyebrows and she did a good job. She was gentle with the wax and my skin was not irritated at all afterwards.

I have acrylic nails & Sharon used a mechanical buffer/drill to smooth out the growth. She told me to tell her if it was burning or painful, but I didn't feel the pain until I put my nails in the uv light machine to dry the gel polish. I gave her a second try a couple of weeks later and she used the mechanical drill again. She only did 2 coats but a third coat would have been great. The polish looked thin in some areas. I was not really happy with the results. I have a weird dent in some nails now. : ( If you go here, make sure you comminucate exactly what you want.

I trust my fellow Yelpers and had to try this place out. I was in dire need of a mani & pedi. The place doesn't look all that from the outside, but when you walk in it's really nice. The ladies greeted me and I was helped immediately. Kim did my nails and she did a superb job!! Kim is so nice and we had a great chat with each other. I was in and out in no time. I will definitely be back!! They do take appointments and I am sure you won't have a problem if you are a walk-in (that was me today LOL). They have 6 mani, 4 pedi and 3 salon (if you want to get your hair done...not sure if they do women of color hair, but you can always call and ask) areas. The place is clean, tidy and the ladies are super nice and friendly. See you ladies soon!!

Found this place through Groupon. Everyone here is very nice, not surprising that they have enough regular clients to keep them busy.
They don't take walk-ins at all, from my understanding.

Why this is a 3-star? I've had better gel mani & regular pedi for less than their regular price. With Groupon is worth it, but if I were to pay regular, I don't know if I'd come here. Maybe they specialize in certain thing?
I also seemed to be the youngest client, everyone else seemed to be in retirement or close to it. I felt a bit out of place. LOL

Sandy rocks and is so sweet to my kiddos- I love my nails and they always last at least two weeks- even longer if I am a diva and don't do too much house work! Beautiful colors to choose from and a very clean salon.

I bought a Dealfind deal for a completely different salon, but the manicurist, Sandy, moved to Happy Hands before I redeemed it. Not only did she still take the deal voucher, but this salon is MUCH closer to my house!

The salon is very clean and nicely appointed. There were three ladies working when I went in, mid-afternoon, and they were all friendly and sweet. All of them seemed quite popular, as they were booked out of appointments for over a week each. (Read: make an appointment if you want to guarantee to be seen!)

My mani/pedi was great, and Sandy was very professional and nice. She told me all about gel manicures, which she gives at a super low price - they weren't included with my voucher, but I am certainly going to go back to her and give them a whirl.

Thumbs WAY up for this place. I think I finally found a "regular" nail salon.
