Tacky junk.

If you dig really hard, you might find that necklace that matches a certain shirt perfectly, and only that shirt. And the plastic earrings, bracelet and watch to match.

I have a severe sensitivity to impure metals, and Hannah D's basically doesn't have anything with so much as a clasp or chain I can wear without an allergic reaction (think wrist rash or red, itchy neck), unless it's all plastic and/or elastic.

Came looking for a few cheap watches for my mom, who's the type who likes to coordinate her accesories to her clothes, and I couldn't find more than a couple that didn't look like they came from the dollar store, and on second glance even those were unimpressive and poorly made. Walked out with nothing, not even some trinket for my teenage sister, whose taste tends more toward the Claire's end of the spectrum.

Maybe I was spoiled by the Harwin district in Houston, but if you're going to buy cheap, practically one-use stuff anyway, this place is nothing special.

Listen up, ladies. (Or anyone interested in jewelry, hair clips and accessories...) I've stumbled upon the perfect place to find last-minute goods.

So you've already spent a boatload of cash on the dress and the shoes, but haven't found anything to spice up the set. Try Hannah D's for a great variety of necklaces, bracelets, and earrings (plus a few rings) that won't break the bank. You won't find 100% gold or nickel-free studs, but this shop on Burnet Rd. is the answer for the panic-inducing late-in-the-day rush for coordinating charms.

Hannah D's has four stores in the Austin area, but this particular stop is located on a main drag, has a friendly staff, and a nice assortment of purses, scarves and glasses cases in addition to the jewelry.

For the mad dash before Cinderella's Ball, try Hannah D's.
