We love Hank's, mellow Bayside's best place to hang out. A relaxed homelike atmosphere, good coffee drinks and simple well-prepared breakfast and lunch dishes (Hank's is one of the few places in Humboldt to serve a decent hot dog, served as it should be with a wide range of condiments on the side). No liquor license yet but I hope that before too long I'll be able to get a beer with that dog. You can get a sixpack of your favorite local microbrew to take home, though. Free Wifi and a somewhat secluded back room makes it a good place for meetings, too. A good cafe/coffee shop is an important feature of a good neighborhood, and Bayside has one in Hank's.
Bright coffee shop with free wi-fi, sandwiches, soup, hot dogs, bagels, ice cream, and other treats. Great place to study or work on a weekday. Big tables with lots of plugs available for computers. Also nice outdoor seating area.
