Hi! I'm Heather, the bellydance teacher at Hand n' Sole.
I have to say it is such a relaxing and welcoming environment! Care is taken into every detail from fresh flowers, music, snacks and the most amazing tea!
Danielle, the owner, has impeccable taste from her simple, clean decor to the amazing products that she carries. There are many services available here, all of which are so very top notch! I basically can't get a pedicure anywhere else! She really does care about your wellness, and you'll just want to keep coming back to bask in that love :)))
During your visit you may run into Alex, the most adorable little lady ever, who sells her unique jewelry in the boutique and pours her love into every little corner of this place. -

There really are no words to describe the personal pampering I
experience each and every time I go to Hand N Sole. Every
detail is carefully addressed to create amazing services. One
of my favorite things is that Danielle the owner is always coming up
with new services leaving you looking forward to her next creation that is
sure to delight all your senses. She also takes great care to make sure
the products used are natural and organic you even get the utentils
used for your serviced to take home ! Her shopping boutique is a visual delight to shop in. Through the years every time I have purchased a Gift Certificate for friends they are hooked, just like me. -

I can't believe Hand N Sole hasn't been reviewed yet!!! It's probably because their clients want to keep this absolute slice of heaven a secret. Hand N Sole sets the standard for customer service, nail care, cleanliness and atmosphere!
Although I love and often use this site, I myself am not a yelper-- but I had to start an account just to shout these phenomenal women out. I haven't been in to see them for a few months and I was looking up the website to see which incredible treatment I wanted for my upcoming birthday festivities. I came to the yelp page first... and seriously, I'm astounded there are no reviews yet. So here we go...
From the moment you walk into the cozy, cottage like salon, you know this is no ordinary slapdash, cuticle shredding, acrylic laced nail factory. Instead, the atmosphere is tranquil and homey. Each room in the converted bungalow is its own private suite. You are pampered in your own little haven without loud cellphone conversations converging on your "you" time or the harsh sounds/ smell of electric buffers and acrylic vapors (I'm not hating -- I had my phase too)... but this is something different. From the moment they bring you your tea and a satiny, heated neck pillow is placed around your, most likely overburdened, shoulders you'll know this place is worth every penny.
I've had both the owner, Danielle, and the other excellent nail tech, Monique, take care of me. They both take so much pride in their work. You should definitely schedule an hour for a mani AND an hour for a pedi... at least. They're all about healthy, natural nail care so they don't just go at your cuticles with crusty clippers of questionable cleanliness all quick, fast and in a hurry... they soak your hands and prep them, coaxing and pushing the cuticle back with careful attention and serious precision, only then do they cut the actual dead cuticle that shows itself... it's amazing how healthy and chic a shiny, simply buffed hand looks with an immaculately groomed nail bed... oh, and by the way, they are SO great about telling you everything they're doing so you know exactly what's going on and how to better care for your nails (although I wouldn't recommend tackling that little metal cuticle pusher OR the clippers on your own). BUT they do give you all of the reusable files, buffers, pumices, toe separators, creams and anything that they will not sanitize and reuse for another guest... so their goodwill gets you goodies to boot.
They pay just as much attention to your soles, as the name well indicates. They have a wonderful cucumber pedi that focuses on softening callouses without employing harsh methods. Danielle has even convinced me to leave that little crazy foot razor alone... yes, I'll admit it, I've had to tackle a callous or two in my day; but they truly show you how proper maintenance and moisture will make a world of difference.
I'm serious when I say they're all about natural nail care... while their massage chairs are state of the art and make your ample pedi time fly, they DON'T use water jet foot baths. I know there are many great places that use them and are exceptional in their cleaning practises; but If you worry about the overall hygiene of such communal tubs or simply prefer to avoid the exorbitant water and energy waste, you will LOVE the individual foot bowls filled with delectable choices like the milk n honey bath or hot chocolate soak and mint scrub option... I swear they know how to treat a girl...
...and they throw a great party. They do cool open houses throughout the year so you can schedule mini treatments. They usually invite other businesses and have had events ranging from tropical themed happy hours/ treatments to henna parties. I haven't tried their reflexology or new chair massage services; but Edi has such a nurturing, positive energy and they take so much care in everything that they do, I can only imagine great things. Their boutique is filled with unique, all natural or nontoxic products like reflexology slippers, soy candles, toluene/ formaldehyde free Zoya colors galore (they've got opi too) and a host of other great finds.
This is truly the ultimate way to treat yourself and sets the standard for nail care and customer service. At this point this has gotten ridiculously long and there are still so many pros that I haven't even mentioned. But to be fair, a couple of things: If you're in a hurry, this might not be the best place to go. They also only do natural nails -- but even if you prefer tips, they're a great place for a peaceful pedicure. They're located BEHIND Zephyr coffee (which is another major pro for their great crepes, teas and coffees). However, it can be a little difficult to find, if you don't know that it's back there... so for the sake of a truly unbiased first time yelp experience, I will have to say that that is a con... but only for your first visit... trust me, once you go, you'll never forget how to get there again! -

Love, love, love this place. Danielle pampered my hands and feet with top notch products. They don't have whirlpool spas for your pedis here; they use large bronze soaking vessels that are much more hygienic than bacteria filled salon chairs. You get to take home anything that was used as well: file, buffer, toe separators, and pumice block. CLEAN place, friendly people, and good energy abound. The mani/pedi services here are worth every penny!

Hands down one of the very best pedicures I've ever had in my life. The owner is kind and pampers you. She explains the service you're receiving and is just awesome. I went with a girlfriend of mine on a very hot day and the entire experience was cool and relaxing. I usually never have a nail polish last more than 2 weeks and my polish lasted a little over 4 weeks, which was wonderful, it is definitely worth the money you spend.

Small and charming with friendly, warm service. If you have the budget for a spa manicure or pedicure, but don't like the impersonality of a larger salon or chain, this is a wonderful alternative. Danielle uses non-toxic products and is meticulous about sanitation. I think this is the best place in Pasadena to get your nails and toes done.
