"Just had another fantabulous experience there today. I normally go for facials (Patricia is the best!) and body wraps, but today I went for…" read more »
I had some shoulder and neck pains and was referred to by someone that went to this guy and was "cured". I had some reservations and could've went to someone else rated highly on Yelp, but I didn't. I decided to give this place a try.
Well, needless to say, I was shocked when I walked through the door. It was like I stepped into someone's living room back in the 70's. It smelled funky (normal?), looked cluttered, and the decor/furniture looked outdated. It turns out that this guy speaks practically zero English. That's a bit surprising since this isn't L.A. The whole new patient form was in Korean. And he tried to charge me more than his normal fee. What's up with that?
I came at the end of the day, so if anyone else was working there, they took off. I was in there, just him and me, me and him. I did feel kind of weird, lying there with the needles in my back, listening to his phone conversation right behind the door.
I was given some "beads" to take with my meals. Still don't know what they were, they could've been hard rat droppings for all I know. But, I do know that they tightness in my jaw went away. I only went there that one time, but that level of pain never came back.
He insisted I come back a few more times, but I didn't. He kept trying to push some fertility drugs on me. That's how acupuncturists make money, drugs are expensive!
