Not the fanciest but it's just down the hill from my NY office, very convenient. Clean, efficient front desk, breakfast included, free wifi, comfy bed, inexpensive rate (usually one of the lowest for the area). Yummy cookies upon check-in.
When you're on the road, after a hard day's work you want to head back to the hotel and just collapse on the bed in the hotel. Well I went to my hotel after getting E 200 and W 200 confused because on their website it only says "200" and they told me that I didn't have a reservation.
So I spent about 30 minutes battling with the concierge people trying to show them the confirmation that I had printed off their website. When I found the iron determination in their eyes which told me I'd have an easier time winning an argument with a tortoise I decided to pack up and find another hotel.
THEN at the end of the week they CHARGED me for a no show!!! I was furious. I called my travel agency and they were able to find records that I was sent away and that I had a reservation and the front desk was just not intelligent. So I got my money back but that was it. No apology, no nothing.
Don't give your business to a place like this. I'd have given it no stars but 1 is the minimum.
