3 reviews for Hampton Inn
Bedded down as we (wife and 2 small kids) drove home on a christmas road trip to Las VEgas-Hoover Dam-Grand Canyon. After a 400 mile drive we were tired and hungry.
This Hampton is one of the best I've stayed in. Looks and feels really new. The staff - a lady from that lived both here in the US and Guatemala was super friendly. She is the only hotel person that acknowledged me as i stood in line (just one person ahead of me) with a smile and siad that she'll be right with me. I have not received that kind of courtesey from much better hotels.
Everything in this place looks new. Bath tub looks great; one of a very few places that i would consider using.
To top it off it had a big flat panel TV to boot. What more can i ask for $107 including taxes? For that price i even splurged on an in-room movie for the kids.
The only reason i took a star away is because it is not near any restaurant (sorry, Danny's is not one, even though it is right next to the hotel) so if you are checking in after 5 you should find a place to eat before hand as this Hampton is kind of near the northern edge of Bakersfield right next to Hwy 99.
I'll always consider staying here in the future.

We stayed here on a weeknight last week, and found it delightful. Nice, big room with a great bed and T.V. And the morning breakfast in the sunny room was delightful (no eggs, but plenty of other stuff).

definately a great place to stay. not too far from the freeway. Very welcoming and very quiet rooms because there is a very busy street outside. Would definately stay here again if I had to.
