This Hampton is on top of a hill at the western end of the Plaza, so it's a really convenient place to stay. You can walk down the hill and enjoy all that the Plaza has to offer. It's also close to anything you may want to drive to when you're in KC. Downtown and Westport are super close.
The rooms are your standard Hampton, so you're getting a basic room with not a lot of frills. That's not a bad thing - their beds are super comfy and there is free hi-speed internet. (Wireless in the lobby.) If you've stayed at Hamptons, you know you also get free breakfast. Every time I went down for breakfast, the place was swarming with people, so I just made a plate and went back upstairs to eat.
Parking is free which is nice. The garage is huge and has access on both sides of the hotel.

it's a great place to stay. Close to the Plaza - 47th street walk is lovely. staff very helpful and pleasant. nightly manager's happy hour, with snacks, soda; wine $2 a cup. I stayed in a double double room - beds comfy - all furniture and appointments in good condition!
