2 reviews for Hampton Inn & Suites Amelia Island
Best hotel I've been to in a long time.
Rooms were beautiful and clean, with luxurious beds and bedding.
The staff was top notch with friendly, can-do, no excuses ways of doing business. Very accomodating to my family and I as we took over the place during a wedding recently.
Beautiful, but small pool on 2nd floor.
Beware of train that goes by right next to building at 730am. Didn't bother me, but I'm sure it did some people!
Next to a great variety of shops and places to eat.
Standard Hampton Inn - nothing more, nothing less.
We booked a room through our friend's wedding block, and we specifically booked a King room. I even have the confirmation email. However, upon arriving, we were surprised that they had given my husband and I a room with 2 double beds. We asked about a King room and were informed that there weren't any in the hotel block. If we had been here on vacation and had planned to spend time in the room, I would have been a little more livid than I was. However, we had so many events to attend that we really didn't have time to worry about it.
The location is probably the best thing about this hotel. It is right near all of the cute shops, bars and restaurants. You can see the water from the pool, and the location is really prime. The pool is fairly small, though.
I've stayed in Hampton Inns before that I found to have better service, but for $150 a night, you can't complain about this place. It served our purpose well, but we didn't spend too much time in the room. I wouldn't pick this place if I intended to lounge around in our room.
