Hamilton-Wenham Public Library
1 review for Hamilton-Wenham Public Library
I had never really explored this library until today. Just didn't feel like WiFi-ing in the Beverly lib.
This library building is relatively new, and is beautiful - lots of blond wood with soft teal accents. It screams "well-funded library of wealthy suburb" Downstairs - large function rooms and a gymnasium (In case you need a game of basketball to relieve your readers eye?), a large, light and beautiful childrens room with it's own function room and restrooms(and it's own librarian. . ), Main room with large print, periodicals, Fiction and study area, as well as a tech support area. Tech support. huh. . .
Upstairs - reference, again with it's own personal librarian, A large room of "closed stacks" accessible by asking said librarian, and containing microfiche and special collections. Large non-fiction and relatively HUGE biography sections; and of course, lots of reference tomes. Also up here - beautiful seating area, lots of places to plug in lap tops so you can yelp instead of working. A substantial Young Adult section up here as well - separate from the kiddie stuff down stairs.
And there is no one here. Except for librarians, and me. Quiet. My latest incarnation of my favority geeky joke that I learned: "knock knock" "who's there?" "Interruptive librarian" "Interruptive librarian w. . ." "SHHHHHHHHHH!"
haahahah.snert. ha. haha.
ANYWAY. . .It's a good one. Library, that is.
