I was astonished to read the previous rating for Halo and felt compelled to leave an updated review. I've never even Yelp'd before!
Perhaps it was a bad experience in 2009, but I've been a client of Halo for several years now and always leave the salon feeling and looking my very best. The products the stylists use are top of the line, and I especially love the color they work with. I'm a redhead (notoriously hard to maintain), but I've never found a salon where my color lasts as long as it does when I go to Halo. The stylists stay up to date on trends and styles, I know mine often goes to national conferences and seminars, but something else they do that's really incredible is their own photo shoots/hair shows to practice and showcase their talents. The ENTIRE staff, from their awesome manager Allison to whomever is tending the front desk to whomever is rinsing out my color, is extremely friendly and genuinely happy to see a return customer. I appreciate that. And the very last thing I'd call anyone at Halo is pretentious, unlike what I've experienced at other salons.
Judging by the amount of compliments I get on my hair, I'd say they deserve all five stars. And I've recommended a handful of friends that are now repeat clients as well.
If you're looking for a great place in Annapolis to receive quality hair services, try Halo. I see Rachel for my hair and Lyda for my brows, both are excellent, and I've never been disappointed. -

I did not have a good experience at Halo. I would never go back! Looking back, I wish that I didn't take the "Best of Annapolis" Magazine's advice. Luckily I have since found a much better salon and I am very happy!
