Oh wow -- I'm so sorry I missed this in 2006, but glad I had the chance to attend in 2007.  I thought it would be a really small Halloween carnival with kid games.  It was a fairly big Halloween carnival with kid games.  Admission was free and the games were mostly 25 cents; a few were 50 cents.  Our kids (3 yr old and 6 yr old) loved it; many of the games were challenging for all elementary school levels.

The carnival is held the Saturday preceding Halloween, from 11 to 3.  The venue rotates between Mission Valley Elementary and Mission San Jose Elementary.  Next year (2008) will be held at Mission San Jose Elementary.

I'm told this really isn't a fundraiser -- the money used to hold the carnival pretty much equals the money it earns.  The mission of the carnival is for kids to have fun.  Works for me.
