Half Mile Ranch
1 review for Half Mile Ranch
Half-Mile is literally off the beaten path. You turn onto a gravel road and pass what looks like a boarded up barn before you see a small clearing that serves as a parking lot for everything from 4-wheelers to horses to pickup trucks.
Donna, our friendly and funny barkeep, pointed to the display above her when we asked about beer. No taps, but the 30-plus choices in bottles were a tribute to the eclectic tastes of the locals. I saw Gennesis and Genny Light (!?!), Michelob, Miller, Yuengling and even a couple Molson choices. I liked this place already. I liked it even more when I heard a father asking his 12-year-old what he would like to drink.
Father: They're all out of Bud, what else do you want?
Son: Umm...what about Coors Light?
Father: Nope. All out of that, too. What else?
Son: I don't know.
Father: How about chocolate milk?
Son: Okay.
I love this place.
