My wife and I got married here in 2000. Overall their events staff was very helpful and the wedding went off great. The price was less expensive than you would think, but the kicker is you have to have a certain number of rooms booked. Mid-summer in North Conway isn't cheap for hotel rooms, but the service and location made this place very worth it.

Many of our guests from the wedding continue to mention what a great place it was to have the event and at least 4 of the couples (small ceremony of 75 people) have been back to stay or at least for brunch or dinner.

The grounds are really nice, at the base of Cathedral Ledge you have great views and a nice outside pool. For the golfers, there is a 9-hole golf course that weaves through the Hales Location community.

I didn't golf, but the groundskeeping and course layout looked pretty nice.

As for the food, the wedding food was very good but my wife and I have been back for Brunch and Dinner since then. Both are a bit on the pricey side for our taste, but the food is outstanding. The brunch particularly has such amazing selections, that it's hard to not stuff yourself with the first thing you try. For the seafood lover they also offer a seafood buffet that I hear is very good.

The rooms are very nice as well (although I didn't stay in one, but my wife stayed in one the night before the wedding and as I said a number of people remarked on it from the wedding).

All in all this is a great place that's not right on the main drag in North Conway so you get a resort feel and better accommodations than others with comparable pricing. The off-season seems to be a great time for catching great room rates as well. Close to Storyland, the ski areas and the outlet malls. Skip all of them though and watch the people climbing the face of Cathedral Ledge while relaxing at the pool or on the golf course.
