The brunch at Orchids was amazing. I had a continental breakfast of fresh fruits, danishes, chicken apple sausage, and eggs (sunny side up). The staff at the restaurant was up to par. It can't get any better! The morning ocean breeze was very refreshing.

A little too expensive for what you get, but there's usually really good live music (that you can hear...NOT at the restaurant proper...) and it's not as crowded as other restaurants.  The view is mainly of the pool, which is pretty, but I'd rather see the sunset.  Keep in mind...you're at the Halekulani.  Be prepared to pay, pay, pay!

Yes, it is expensive, but in my opinion, you do get what you receive, which is great service and great tasting food!  Not to mention a spectacular view of Waikiki Beach and Diamond Head.

I love the lavosh and the flavored cream cheese.  Once, when I was there, they had a truffle cream cheese.  It was absolutely delicious.

I usually order the Garden Fresh Veggies.  The veggies are roasted.  I love the asparagus.  The rest of the veggies are in a cute little, little pot...  There are onions, sunburst squash, zucchini, bits of mushroom and bell peppers.  It also comes with risotto.  I love the risotto because it is not drenched with cream or gooey with cheese.  The taste is just perfect!  (Okay... I'll have to admit, it is quite pricy for just veggies and risotto, but it is delicious.)

But, at any chance, I'll spend the money again, just to escape from the every day "dog eat dog" world!  The atmosphere and experience of sitting near the beach in Waikiki is truly spectacular!!!!!  Every time I eat there I come away feeling refreshed and stress free!

(Kristina, were you at "The House Without a Key" Restaurant at Halekulani, because there is no live music at Orchids, but you can hear the music from The House Without a Key"  and there is a pool at "The House Without a Key", not at Orchids....  At Orchids, there is a view of wonderful view of Diamond Head.)
