I was getting new tires for my car and had a couple of hours to kill. I decided instead of sitting decided to go for a walk and get a haircut. I sometimes shopped at this Food Max and noticed there was a barber shop here in the corner and decided to stop in and get my haircut.
Upon walking in, felt like this is what I was looking for in a Barber shop. It has a nice "manly" old school barber shop feel to it. None of that fancy garbage that you get at these "trendy" stylist places that want to give frost your hair, give you some weird Emo look, and then talk about who was wearing what at the Emmies while trying to upscale you on a pedicure. This is your basic Old School Barber shop.
The place has about 5 - 6 chairs and each section blocked with with this nice wood paneling. There is only 1 TV here that I noticed and probably hard to watch if you get stuck at one of the booths at the end. Since it was a Friday Morning, I was able to walk right in and get a chair right in front of the TV and get my haircut.
The barber I got definitely knew about cutting men's hair without making you looking like a hipster douchebag. I got a very basic #2 fade, no side burns, and just leave trim the front and thin out the top. Haircut probably took about 30 minutes, but overall he did a very good job. Best part of all, OLD SCHOOL straight edge razor to clean everything up. He did it with warm shaving cream and afterwards applied a some aftershave balm to help with any possible irritation.
End of the haircut, look great and with the straight edge razor everything felt nice and clean. Very very happy with the end results. The cost was $16 + I tipped him $4 so ended up paying $20. As to ratings, great hair cut but the 2 negatives for me are $16 does seem high for the area and also I think maybe we spoke less than 20 words after I told him what he wanted (so not much conversation).
But overall 4 star rating and would highly recommend coming back to The Haircutters Barbershop for an old school men's haircut.

Convincing my sweetie to get a professional haircut is difficult. I keep his hair and neck trimmed, but sometimes he needs a real haircut. Because he hadn't been to a barbershop in Fremont, I volunteered to find one for him on Yelp and chose one fairly close and easy to find.
The best thing, especially on a Saturday afternoon, is they were fast.
The haircut, however, is just barely OK. It's what I'd call an "old man's haircut", definitely unattractive. The best that can be said is that his hair is shorter now. He's had haircuts I liked a lot better than this.
$16.00 for a very simple old fashioned haircut that took less than 10 minutes to do.
