If I could give this place 10 stars, I would! Instead, I'll go with the max for now :)
I've had my haircut by one of the workers here, Diane, ever since I started geting haircuts. She has been wonderful, consistent, and left me satisfied each and every time--which, considering the superficial, shallow person I am, particularly about hair, is not easy to do.
I've had no need to go anywhere else--except when I went down to school in LA for a few years--and don't expect me to switch any time in the near future either.
Should I mention that Diane is also my mom? :)
Not that that should make me biased in any reason, she's been working here for over a decade, and has wonderful relationships with her customers, many of whom send her Xmas cards, thank you notes, etc. all the time. Her coworkers are wonderful people as well...so if you're in the area and need anything done to your hair, give this place a try!

I read a review written by my yelp neighbor Tien about his mom's shop. I had to coordinate a wedding for a friend this weekend and decided I needed to look somewhat presentable. I gathered that this would involve more than washing and combing my own hair.
I asked Tien about his mom's shop. He was totally clueless about what services they offered. But he did me good and at least gave me some digits to the place. So I called and got Tom. Tom was my stylist.
Let me tell you about Tom. He was 30 minutes late for my apt. But he made up for it by styling my hair really well. He did an up-do with pinned curls in the back of my head. The curls ribboned down. He was heavy handed on the hair spray and styling products. So much that my hair was crunchy. But it held in place and thats what I wanted at the end of the day. He did a good job and I was very satisfied with the final product.
It cost me $45 for the up-do, tip was additional.
The other ladies in the shop, including Tien's mom, were pretty nice and they showed up on time. Whoo, hooo....
I'll probably go back to get my hair done for the next wedding I'm going to in May. Maybe I'll pick something a little less crunch and see what they can do. :)
