Review from Brandie W.
Citrus Heights, CA
I love this hidden gem! I first visited the park for a Kaiser children's health fair. I instantly fell in love with Hagan park and you will too. We held my son's birthday party there a few months later. It was the best party because the railroad society there were running their trains so everyone was able to ride for free. They accept donations though and the train rides are so fun that giving them $10 or $20 to make sure these little engines keep on the tracks is more than worth it. Especially when you see the smile on your kid's face. You can even host birthday parties there with private train rides if they have availability & it's actually affordable. The park is huge. Fun play areas for the kids. Great pond. Petting zoo hasn't been open when I've gone but I'll keep going back. I live in citrus heights but don't mind the drive for such a great place for my son to play.

Love this park. It fetures several tennis courts, a public swimming pool, lots of shaded picnic tables, lovely pond were fishing is permitted for children and adults, three large enclosed play areas for small, medium and large dogs and a wonderful farm with some friendly friends: a donkey, several goats, chickens etc. Just perfect for little ones and parents. And, let's not forget the small train that runs ones a month Around the farm, cost $3 ( please check calendar on website). During Halloween, they offer one of the best Haunted House in town. For $20 you ride the train around the park that takes you to the three attractions they will scare you a bunch. I am a faithful regular of this wonderful park. Love Kataking, rafting and riding my bike on Haggan Park. Come and check it out! Enjoy your visit :)

Review from Carol P.
There's a stocked pond, the American River bike trail, the American River, soccer field, baseball field, petting barn, mini train, playground, doggie doo doo bags, playground, and best of all...FREE parking! If you use the free parking lot, you'll have to walk a little ways to get to the river, but it's all good, it's a nice park to walk through. They also offer free parking in the inner lots from November to March (don't quote me on that, but I think I read that somewhere).
My dog gives it 5 woofs!Listed in: Doggie digs
