Hae Min is a great massage therapist. I have been a regular customer of hers for over five years now. I get massages from other therapists on occasion, but when I get a massage from Hae Min, it is guaranteed to loosen all of the knots in my shoulders and back, and allow my body to feel completely re-energized. She is exceptional. In addition, she really reaches out and is a great conversationalist.

    Easy access by public transport.

I can't recommend Hae Min highly enough!  She's an exceptional bodyworker, and it's clear that she cares very much about the health of her patients.
I had my first session with her on Saturday, and I was delighted with her overall approach and skills.  She's the kind of bodyworker who makes you feel like a million bucks, and then gives you great advice for how to feel that way all the time.
Go see Hae Min - you'll find yourself counting the days until you can see her again!

Just finished receiving another terrific chair massage from Hae Min, as always she got the kinks out of my neck and upper back and I feel great. Hae Min comes to our office in downtown SF every week and I never miss a massage. The 20 minutes I spend w/her are always invigorating, she provides just the right amount of pressure and touch.  She takes her profession very seriously and it shows.

As well, Hae Min is friendly, warm and personable and wonderful to talk to. She always has interesting things to say.

Can't recommend her highly enough... treat yourself today.

Hae Min has done something quite unique and amazing.  She has taken a traditional self-healing healing art and converted her skills and years of training into a body-work therapy.  As far as she knows (and I know), there is no one who has done this and offers services for it like she does.

I would highly recommend that you give her a try.  Her treatment is definitely soothing and invigorating, and if received regularly, can heal ailments in ways that Western medicine has closed its door on.

It was a different kind of massage.  Lots of circular rubbing which I did not really like.  Massage was very thorough.

I first met Hae Min on a visit to Pharmaca in Cole Valley. She performs chair massages there every Sunday from 2-6pm. It was great because my neck was in a lot of pain and I really didn't want to wait until Monday to go see my regular masseuse or chiropractor. I was very impressed at how much she helped me with just a chair massage! She has a calmness and tranquility about her that is very appealing. I've had a lot of massages over the years and it was immediately evident to me that Hae Min is highly trained and very passionate about her work. I plan on making an appointment to see her for a full massage in her Hayes Valley Studio. I recommend stopping by Pharmaca to meet her and book a 10 or 20 minute massage. You will be happy you did.

Hae Min gives chair massages at the Pharmaca Cole Valley usually on Sunday afternoons, and they are one of the best chair massages I've had (and a great way to get some relief, when you don't have the time or the planning to schedule a full hour at her office).  In addition to being warm and having positive energy, she has an extremely skillful, intuitive touch, and her style includes using pressure points, which works wonders in relieving tension and pains.

i usually like writing these reviews under the psychological guise of some anonymity, so i don't get "oh no! you're the one!" etc etc. but the yelping continues, as well-deserved.

i found hae min through a "Qi gong SF" search on yelp -- previous experience with graceful massage in NYC led me to believe that qi gong is the most awesome thing on earth, and has helped me in so many ways -- stress, knots, back pain, etcetera. graceful massages generally leaves me thinking i've broken my back. it's intense. i live for the intensity. good enough.

i was surprised that hae min's techniques weren't backbreaking joint-cracking sledgehammer-wielding. i was surprised to feel awesome afterwards, and that my back feels much better now. i was surprised by hae min's genuinely kind, warm demeanor, her tips, her general advice, her offering to give me a ride back to my hotel afterwards out of sheer kindness.

the only drawback: cash or check only. i rarely hit the ATM but okay, it was definitely worth it.

i would definitely go back again. highly highly recommended!

Professionalism, a beautiful massage space and close to my work downtown. Oh yes, and an excellent massage. Hae Min is highly skilled and takes a very academic and soulful approach to her craft. I think you would be hard pressed to find a better value for a stress busting massage.

Hae Min is a great massage therapist.  I have known her for about 8 years or so, and over that time her skills and knowledge base have only grown.  Now that she is in acupuncture school, she brings even more knowledge and insight to the table (har har).  I am a chiropractor down the hall from her, and when patients see her before their adjustment with me, it makes my job so much easier, sometimes I feel like I'm cheating or something!  Good convenient location, only main downside is that the parking around here is mostly metered, so if your appointment is an hour or longer, then she might have to run outside and feed the meter for you at some point during the session.

Hae Min Cho is certainly more than a massage therapist. Before beginning my session, she asked me about my goals for the bodywork and what was happening with me physically. Throughout the session, she would ask questions and help me to relax into the bodywork so I would gain the optimum benefits. Although she spoke to me throughout the massage, her manner is calm and unobtrusive, so I was able to feel like I was having quiet, "me" time. After the session, Hae Min gave me some exercises to address some of my chronic issues. I'll definitely go back!

I've been seeing Hae Min Cho for about 5 years now.  I first saw her after a motorcycle racing crash and she made me feel significantly better.

I travel a lot and sometimes I have to use services elsewhere.  And every time, I find myself wishing I was back home with Hae Min.

Hae Min doesn't just go through some generic massage routine. She surveys your body to see where the tension is hiding and instinctively knows where to concentrate her efforts. I've tried other types of massage modalities and, at least for me, Korean acupressure works best at getting the knots out - Or maybe its Hae Min's natural gift for massage. Either way, if you're looking for relief from muscle trigger points or myofascial pain then I recommend you give Hae Min a call. She is a highly skilled massage therapist.

Hae Min is amazing. She cured my shoulder pain with one session and advice on stretching. It was pretty amazing. Just plain cured.

I will continue to see her now that i can work on the other, less immediate issues.

    Definitely recommend!

Hae Min is an amazing massage therapist.  She has been helping me on a monthly basis for the past couple years to reduce my tension, caused by stress, and to improve my overall health.  She continues to expand her scope using different and wonderful techniques.  I highly recommend her for your next massage.  I actually had to text her after my last massage to let her know just how great I felt walking down the street!

Hae Min is the one I go to consistently for massage therapy. She has a very comfortable, easily accessible studio in Hayes Valley. She has a wonderful, calming, mindful presence and makes one instantly feel like they are in good hands.  She is the real deal, as someone who has invested a good deal of time in the rigorous, disciplined study of traditional healing arts (traditional medicine, korean acupressure) and it shows in her excellent technique - which feels like a balanced integration of modern/traditional techniques coupled with a deep intuitive approach. Highly recommended.

Hae Min is a wonderful massage therapist.  I first started seeing her at Pharmaca on Sundays for $1/minute massage.  She is BY FAR the best chair massage therapist I have been to.  She is very intuitive and can accomplish a lot in even a short 15-20 minutes.  That said, her full sessions are really the best bang for your buck.  She is reasonably priced and really customizes to your needs, whether they be general well-being or post-injury.  Hae Min is also continuing to educate herself and always has new ideas on how best to help her clients.  Her approach is very holistic and she gives useful everyday advice for feeling better.

Hae Min has been my massage therapist for a couple years now.  As I triathlete, I need massage and LOTS of it.  Hae Min has been fantastic with my aches and pains.  I usually see her on my rest day, and after any big race or event.  Not only does she have a natural gift for massage and for finding all the knots in the body and working them out, but she's also highly skilled and in acupuncture school so her knowledge is impressive.  I also find it very easy to schedule with her.  She's very flexible and willing to work with my busy schedule to fit me in (sometimes at the last minute).  She's also a really dynamic person who I enjoy seeing each time.  If you go to her, you will not be disappointed!

Would highly recommend Hae Min as a massage therapist! I've been to my fair share of well known spas, always asking for deep tissue massages, but I always end up getting less than satisfactory (long stroke) massages. Hae Min is very in tune with your body and takes the time to hit the right spots. If you love more of a kneading technique I'd try her out. Very good prices too.
